Transmigrating to the Primordial Era as a Peerless Great Witch, Changing Fate in the Primordial Worl
Chapter 598: The establishment of a Western religion, one religion with two names
The guiding deity's avatar paused, gazing eastward, where the magnificent afterglow of the purple aura that seemed to linger from the Three Pure Ones' ascension to sainthood still lingered. His tone was filled with bitterness and self-mockery:
"But the two of us, let alone the foundation of the Chaos Demon God, have not even been able to take the crucial step of this clone proving the Dao and becoming a saint to help the main body break through to the Hunyuan Daluo realm."
The feeling of watching helplessly as our peers move ahead one by one, leaving us further and further behind...
It was as if several invisible yet incredibly heavy divine mountains were pressing down on our hearts, one after another.
It makes it hard to breathe, and cloudes the mind of the Dao.
These words struck the heart of the Zhunti Divine Avatar like a heavy hammer.
Zhunti's clone already had a thin and refined appearance.
At this moment, he looked even more worried, and his usual calculating and shrewd eyes were much dimmer.
Instead, there was deep anxiety and resentment.
He continued, his voice somewhat hoarse:
"What you said, senior brother, is like a knife to the heart. The Three Pure Ones established their teachings and carried on the Dao, using their educational efforts to draw upon the merits of the Great Dao, thereby merging with the Three Corpses, integrating with the Primordial Purple Qi, and entrusting their true spirits to it."
Achieving sainthood in one fell swoop is a clear path, with immense merit and a response from Heaven.
This shows that establishing a religion is a proven and correct path to heaven.
Not only can it gather enormous fortune,
It can also directly resonate with the Primordial Purple Qi, granting immeasurable merit sufficient to support one's ascension to sainthood.
The avatar of the deity Zhunti suddenly raised his head, a flicker of hope and determination rekindling in his eyes.
Look towards the guide:
"Senior brother, although we are merely divine avatars, our foundations may not be as exceptionally favorable as those of the Three Pure Ones."
However, the merits, vows, and insights into the path of "mind," "extinction," and "golden body" that we have accumulated through countless Western eons are equally profound.
If we could emulate the Three Pure Ones and establish a great religion, using our unique Western teachings to enlighten those in the West and all sentient beings with affinity.
It will surely gather merit and fortune, and attract the primordial purple energy to attain the position of a saint.
Once an avatar becomes a saint, it can use the saint's perspective and the authority of the Heavenly Dao to nourish and assist the original body.
At that time, I will break through to the Grand Luo Golden Immortal realm and even challenge the foundation of a low-grade Chaos Demon God.
Then it will no longer be an unattainable dream.
Upon hearing this, the avatar of the guiding deity slowly raised its lowered eyelids.
Deep within those eyes, which usually held a look of compassion, sparks of wisdom seemed to be colliding fiercely, their brilliance growing ever stronger and brighter.
Ultimately, it transformed into a near-do-or-die determination.
He spoke slowly, his voice still carrying an underlying sorrow, but with an unprecedented firmness:
"Junior brother is right. The Great Dao is fifty, the Heavenly Evolution is forty-nine, and one is missing."
This glimmer of hope may lie here.
We two established this religion not out of a desire for power or victory, but because we are driven by the Great Way and seek liberation for all sentient beings.
This is also the path we two take, to seek that last glimmer of dawn.
If we can achieve sainthood through this, and further assist our original self in attaining enlightenment, then my fellow disciple and I will have a chance to stand on the same level as Nuwa, Houtu, the Three Pure Ones, and even fellow Daoists like those from the Styx River.
So that they won't become mere spectators in this magnificent era, or even be completely marginalized.
Seeing his senior brother's interest, the divine avatar of Zhunti was greatly encouraged.
He immediately said:
"Since that's the case, time waits for no one."
Since our fellow Daoist Sanqing has already departed, how can we two remain bystanders, merely watching from the sidelines and lamenting our fate?
We should emulate the wise men of the past and take immediate action.
The two were of one mind and had no more hesitation.
At the same time, he rose up from the pure lotus platform.
With each step, a golden lotus platform appears beneath one's feet, providing support.
The next moment, the two figures appeared atop Mount Sumeru.
On the "Cliff of Bliss," which is hailed as the highest point in the Western Continent, closest to the heavens, and where the Daoist essence is most concentrated.
The mountain wind blew, causing the two men's simple monk robes to flutter. This was the attire often worn by the divine beings.
They held nothing back, each unleashing the immense Daoist power they had cultivated over countless eons, reaching the perfect level of the Primordial Golden Immortal.
The guiding deity's avatar was enveloped in a rich, compassionate aura, seemingly capable of encompassing all suffering and leading people towards Nirvana—the profound and pervasive Daoist energy of the "Acquired Spiritual Path."
It transformed into a hazy, pale golden phantom of a "Sea of Bitterness."
It seems as if countless beings are adrift, struggling, and seeking liberation within it.
The divine avatar of Zhunti was surrounded by the Daoist aura of the "Acquired Golden Body Great Dao," which was solid, immortal, radiating boundless light, and containing the true meaning of "neither defiled nor pure, neither increasing nor decreasing." This aura soared into the sky.
It transformed into a towering, majestic, and dignified golden body, seemingly capable of suppressing all evil spirits and dispelling all illusions.
Its radiant light illuminated the western sky.
Two powerful Daoist principles, one internal and one external, one gentle and one firm, one governing spiritual liberation and the other physical immortality.
Yet they blend perfectly atop Mount Sumeru, complementing each other.
Together, they form a magnificent and solemn spectacle, imbued with the Western concepts of "Nirvana as bliss" and "compassionate salvation."
It instantly attracted the attention and worship of creatures from the entire western continent and even some neighboring regions.
Then, they all looked up, gazing at the supreme and all-encompassing source of the Great Dao.
It also seems to be communicating with the will of Pangu at Buzhou Mountain and the laws of heaven, earth, and humanity.
A grand, solemn sound, imbued with the strange rhythm of Sanskrit chanting, emanated from both of them simultaneously.
Its sound resounded through the heavens and echoed throughout the primordial world:
"The Great Dao is above, the Great God Pangu is above, and the three paths of Heaven, Earth, and Man bear witness to it."
The announcement stirred subtle ripples in the heavens, and golden light gathered faintly in the sky.
"I, Zhunti, have come to guide and see that all living beings in the primordial world have been sinking in an endless sea of suffering since their birth."
They are tormented by eighty-four thousand afflictions, including birth, old age, sickness, death, separation from loved ones, encountering those they hate, not getting what they want, and the burning of the five aggregates.
There is no set date.
Filled with boundless compassion, he made a grand vow to relieve the suffering of all beings and bring them joy.
"Now, moved by the compassion of Heaven and aware of my responsibility to educate and guide, I stand here on Mount Sumeru, the sacred mountain of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss."
The voices of Jieyin and Zhunti suddenly became incredibly high-pitched and firm.
Every word seemed to carry their countless aspirations and perseverance:
"Establish a religion, named 'Western'."
Western teachers guide sentient beings to take refuge in the Buddha, diligently cultivate morality, concentration, and wisdom, extinguish greed, anger, and ignorance, leave suffering and attain happiness, transcend the cycle of rebirth, and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
We, Jieyin and Zhunti, are both leaders of this sect.
The Western religion was established.
The two proclaimed their religion, and the Great Dao responded even more strongly, with golden light of merit beginning to gather, but they did not stop.
Then their voices rose again, their Taoist aura even stronger.
It seemed as if they were about to forge an unprecedented and unique path of education:
"I, Jieyin and Zhunti, will expound another vehicle beyond the fundamental doctrines of the Western religion, and establish another religion called 'Buddha'."
Buddha means the enlightened one.
Self-awareness, awareness of others, and perfect practice of awareness.
The essence of Buddhism lies in finding ultimate bliss in Nirvana.
With boundless compassion and universal empathy,
May all sentient beings be guided to abandon evil and cultivate goodness, purify their body and mind, purify their six senses, empty themselves of the four elements, break free from attachment to self and phenomena, and attain supreme enlightenment.
Ultimately, they will be reborn in the Pure Land and attain Buddhahood.
We, Jieyin and Zhunti, are both leaders of this sect.
Buddhism was established.
"The Great Dao observes it, Father Pangu observes it, and the three paths of Heaven, Earth, and Man observe it together."
"Western religion, established."
Buddhism was established.
