The sound of the Dao rolled on, like the endless pronouncements of the Heavenly Dao, imprinting itself on the divine thoughts of countless beings. After a long while, the strange phenomena and overwhelming pressure slowly dissipated.

But the news of "Hongjun becoming a saint" swept through the entire prehistoric world like the most violent hurricane.

Countless powerful beings who had been in seclusion were awakened, their Dao hearts trembling. They were both horrified by the vast and boundless power of the sage, which far exceeded their imagination, and they were also eagerly trying to capture the information of "the sage preaching in the Purple Cloud Palace" in the Dao sound.

What an unparalleled opportunity this is!

The entire prehistoric world was thrown into a huge shock and heated discussion because of the sudden appearance of the "Sage Hongjun".

Although Wugu and Yuanfeng's "proof of the Dao" was powerful in the past, they did not announce it to the world in such a grand manner. Their power was mostly limited to a certain range and was not known to the beings of the prehistoric world.

Hongjun's ascension to sainthood this time was personally "created" by the Heavenly Dao of the Primordial World. The grandeur of the phenomena and the formality of the announcement were unprecedented.

This undoubtedly proclaims to all great beings that a brand new era belonging to "Hongjun the Sage" has officially begun.

However, while many powerful beings were excited, scheming, and preparing to go to Zixiao Palace to listen to the Dao, Wu Gu's essence blood clone faintly sensed an "abnormality".

"Logically, the new Christmas should be celebrated to demonstrate the Heavenly Way, consolidate the holy position, and preach the Great Way to stabilize the primordial world. The preaching period should be shortly after becoming a saint, usually around three thousand years later."

It could quickly establish authority and spread the orthodox teachings, and also promptly quell the slight turbulence in the natural world caused by the birth of a sage. However, Hongjun set the time for preaching the Dao a distant 100,000 years later, which seemed rather unreasonable.

Unless his attainment of sainthood was not so secure, or the infusion of the Heavenly Dao's essence was not so smooth, it would require an extremely long time to digest, consolidate, and eliminate any hidden dangers.

The illusory image of the river of time flowed in Wugu's eyes: "Perhaps both are true. Ten thousand years is enough time for many things to happen. It may be a good thing for the innate saints of the primordial world."

While Hongjun's ascension to sainthood was indeed earth-shattering, the "ten thousand years" buffer period suggests that behind this seemingly glorious "proving the Dao" may lie unknown weaknesses and mysteries.

The auspicious clouds above the nine heavens gradually dispersed, and the auspicious energy disappeared, but the information that "Hongjun will become a saint and preach the Great Dao in Zixiao Palace 100,000 years later" was like an indelible mark, deeply engraved in the primordial spirits of countless beings in the prehistoric world.

It was as if a giant boulder had been thrown into the entire primordial world, stirring up unprecedented waves and turmoil.

However, amidst this fervor, awe, calculation, and anticipation that swept across almost all living beings, there were a few places where the reaction was quite different.

Deep in the Kunlun Mountains, the Three Pure Ones sat facing each other. Taiqing Laozi had an indifferent expression, but his eyes were filled with the Daoist aura of the Golden Elixir. Yuqing Yuanshi frowned slightly, his fingers unconsciously tapping the futon in front of him. Shangqing Tongtian's face was full of disdain.

"A sage?" Tongtian spoke first. "What path did Hongjun attain as a 'sage'? Compared with the realms of 'opening the path,' 'enlightening the path,' and 'merging with the path' described in the 'Chronicles of the Heavenly Emperor,' which is higher or lower?"

Although the aura and power of his ascension to sainthood were impressive, I still felt there was something "empty" about it.

Yuanshi slowly said, "The 'Chronicles of the Heavenly Emperor' was bestowed by the brothers Wugu. The 'Five Realms of the Great Luo' recorded in the supreme Dao book points directly to the root of the Great Dao. The great power returns to oneself, and one's path is solid and promising."

Hongjun, this "sage," upon hearing what he said, seemed to be in accordance with the "Way of Heaven," and thus obtained his position by borrowing the power of the Way of Heaven.

This path is probably not the "true path" we seek.

Lao Tzu nodded slightly and finally spoke, his voice calm and still: "The paths are different, but the sages are beyond our comprehension, and we cannot make hasty judgments."

Since Hongjun has spoken of the Dao, there must be something of value in it. However, having received books from Brother Wugu, our horizons have broadened. Whether this "Sacred Way" is the best choice for us still requires careful consideration.

Almost simultaneously, in the Jade Pool Wonderland of West Kunlun, the dignified and elegant Queen Mother of the West stood under the peach tree, gazing at the lingering sacred aura in the sky, a thoughtful look flashing in her beautiful eyes.

"A sage? An incarnation of the Heavenly Dao? It sounds incredibly revered, but being subject to others is not my wish. I wonder what Fellow Daoist Wugu's opinion is on this?"

A new temple was built on the ruins of Mount Sumeru in the West. The Guide of the West looked sorrowful, while the Cundi Bodhisattva had a resolute expression. The two looked at each other and saw doubt in each other's eyes.

"Senior Brother Hongjun's ascension to sainthood and his sermon at Zixiao Palace is a great opportunity, but we already have an opportunity. What should we do?" Zhunti asked excitedly.

Jieyin slowly shook his head: "Junior brother, don't be anxious. The way of the sage Hongjun seems magnificent, but it is different from the principle of 'seeking truth through the path' recorded in the 'Chronicle of the Heavenly Emperor'."

The status of a sage is indeed noble, but what is the price to pay? Having received the Daoist scriptures from our predecessors, which illuminate our path, we should first discern the true meaning of this sacred Dao before making any further calculations, so as not to fail our predecessors' high expectations, nor to betray our own aspirations for the Dao.

Zhunti said sternly, "What you say is very true, Senior Brother. I was too hasty. Such methods of a sage have never been mentioned in the Taoist scriptures of our predecessors. We should first seek out our predecessors and ask them for clarification."

All the innate deities who received the supreme Daoist book, the "Chronicles of the Heavenly Emperor," including the Three Pure Ones, the Queen Mother of the West, Jieyin, Zhunti, and even Nuwa and Fuxi, who had already formed a connection with Wugu, felt similar doubts and vigilance at this moment.

They were no longer ignorant and naive newborn saints. Under the influence of the "Chronicles of the Heavenly Emperor," they had a far deeper understanding of the "Great Dao" and the "Origin of Power" than others.

In their view, Hongjun's path to becoming a Heavenly Sage is full of "external forces," "shackles," and "uncertainty," which seems to contradict his fundamental pursuit of "possessing great power within himself."

Thus, while the vast majority of beings in the primordial world were still immersed in the shock of the birth of the sage and the boundless longing to hear the Dao ten thousand years later.

Several dazzling streaks of light shot into the sky almost simultaneously from places like East Kunlun, West Kunlun, and Mount Sumeru, tearing through the sky with an almost reckless and full-speed flight, heading directly towards Mount Buzhou.

The streak of light, like a rainbow, pierced the sky, leaving a long, persistent trail on the azure backdrop, exceptionally conspicuous.
