"The bed was delivered this morning," Fu Ciyan's voice came from the kitchen, accompanied by the sound of a spatula stirring. "It was custom-made to fit the largest bedroom size, so it should be more comfortable than your previous bed."

Lu Yao pursed her lips, but ultimately said nothing. She turned and went into the bedroom to change into her pajamas.

When she came out, Fu Ciyan had already served dinner: pan-fried salmon with asparagus, cream of mushroom soup, and a small vegetable salad.

It looks as exquisite as restaurant food.

"Are you injured?" He had obviously heard what Lu Yao had said earlier, and his gaze swept over her.

"No." Lu Yao sat down at the table, picked up her chopsticks, and said, "Xie Linyu was injured. He went to the filming location today, and a prop almost hit me. He rushed over and blocked it, and he fractured his shoulder."

"It's good that you're alright." Fu Ciyan ladled out a bowl of cream of mushroom soup and placed it in front of her, clearly not caring whether Xie Linyu lived or died.

"The doctor said he needs to rest for four to six weeks." Lu Yao took a sip of the soup, which tasted rich and delicious, and finished her sentence. "Fortunately, no nerves were damaged, but it will affect my work recently."

Fu Ciyan was silent for a few seconds, then suddenly asked, "When did you two become so close?"

His tone sounded calm, but Lu Yao keenly caught a subtle hint of displeasure.

"What kind of relationship do you have?" she asked, somewhat puzzled. "He had been giving me trouble until today, so I was quite startled when he rushed over. But all I can say is that he has a sharp tongue, but his character is alright."

People who instinctively think of saving others when faced with an accident are unlikely to be bad people.

Fu Ciyan seemed not to hear her praise of Xie Linyu, and simply continued to slowly cut the fish on her plate: "So how do you plan to thank him?"

"I've already thanked him, and I'll help him if he needs anything in the future." Lu Yao paused, looking at Fu Ciyan, "Otherwise, how else can I thank him?"

Fu Ciyan lowered his eyelashes, concealing the emotions in his eyes: "It's good that you know."

The topic was put to rest, and the two finished their dinner in silence.

After the meal, Lu Yao offered to help clear the dishes, but Fu Ciyan took the plates from her and said, "I'll do it. You go and prepare."

Lu Yao was taken aback and subconsciously asked, "What are you preparing?"

Fu Ciyan looked up at her, and Lu Yao's heart tightened under his gaze. She subconsciously reacted, "So early?"

We just finished eating, it's not even dark yet, and we already have to complete the mission?

"You've only gotten a 'passing' grade for two days in a row, aren't you going to improve your plan?"

Realizing what Fu Ciyan meant, Lu Yao's cheeks flushed: "Didn't you say there was a delay of half a month?"

"So you're planning to make changes closer to the deadline, and just keep going like this all along?"

Lu Yao didn't know how to refute it, because that was really what she thought.

Slightly hesitant, he said, "These things always have to be done step by step, especially since we're both novices. Even if the Breeding Bureau comes, we'll have a solid case to file!"

Fu Ciyan chuckled lightly: "I hope the result is as stubborn as your mouth."

"..." Lu Yao peeked into the kitchen doorway, watching Fu Ciyan wash the dishes, and tentatively asked, "So, do you have any good ideas?"

"Who was it that confidently guaranteed they could complete the task by cheating?"

It's her, okay?

Lu Yao muttered something, then turned around and said, "I'm going to take a shower first."

After saying that, he left with a sense of panic and flight.

When Lu Yao finished showering and came out, she pushed open the bedroom door and saw Fu Ciyan standing half-naked by the bed. When he saw her, his eyes darkened and he said in a low voice, "Come here."

Lu Yao paused at the doorway, her gaze involuntarily falling on his well-defined abs before quickly looking away.

The steam from the bathroom hadn't completely dissipated, yet it seemed to condense into ambiguous beads in the air.

She gripped the hem of her nightgown tightly, her voice involuntarily tightening: "...Here?"

Fu Ciyan did not answer, but his gaze remained fixed on her intently until she almost turned away, at which point he repeated, "Come here."

Lu Yao had no choice but to bite the bullet and walk over, wanting to say something, when she heard Fu Ciyan say, "Didn't you ask if there was any good way? I've been thinking about it, and we can find a way through practice."

Lu Yao was taken aback: "What do you mean?"

Lu Yao's heart started pounding. She felt like she understood, but at the same time, she didn't.

Fu Ciyan did not continue to explain. Instead, he reached out and wrapped his arm around her waist, easily leading her to the bedside, while he sat back on the edge of the bed.

"You said your hands were sore last time." He looked up at her, a hint of teasing in his eyes. "Let's try a different approach today."

Before Lu Yao could react, he gently pulled her to sit on his lap with her back to him.

The position froze her instantly; behind her was his hot, firm chest, the heat radiating through the thin fabric.

"you……"

"Fu Ciyan!" Lu Yao was both shocked and panicked. She tried to struggle, but he held her firmly in front of her.

"Don't move!" His breathing became erratic, spraying onto her sensitive ear. "Didn't we say we should take it step by step?"

His voice held a hint of malice: "But there has to be some change, doesn't there?"

As soon as he finished speaking, he tightened his grip on her waist.

Lu Yao felt a burning sensation all over her body. She wanted to escape, but her body was immobilized under his control.

She never expected that Fu Ciyan would improve so quickly, that he would actually think of such a method.

Damn it, did he secretly go somewhere for further studies?

Lu Yao's back was pressed tightly against Fu Ciyan's chest, and she could clearly feel his strong heartbeat.

"Relax," Fu Ciyan's deep voice sounded in her ear, "Otherwise, it will affect the judgment."

Lu Yao bit her lower lip, a mixture of embarrassment, anger, and indescribable feelings leaving her speechless.

"Yesterday, you kept saying you were tired. Today, let's try a different method that's less strenuous, okay?"

His words sounded grand and dignified, but this approach made her even more bewildered than before.

Lu Yao wanted to hit him because he was holding her captive, but she was completely under his control at that moment.

A surge of resentment welled up inside her. She had been careless today, but she would definitely get her revenge tomorrow. She would also make Fu Ciyan taste what it felt like to be controlled.

After an unknown amount of time, Lu Yao, unable to bear it any longer, urged, "Can't you hurry up... um."

Fu Ciyan seemed unable to bear hearing that word, turned her face around, and lowered his head to kiss her.

She was silenced from saying anything she wanted to say.

The kiss wasn't gentle; it had a touch of force that was hard to resist.

Lu Yao couldn't help but wonder, why, why can this guy learn so quickly?

Lu Yao felt that she was being outdone, and if she didn't think of a way, she was afraid that she would really be looked down upon, which was absolutely unacceptable.
