Gu Heng's gaze fell on Hermione's face; he hoped Hermione would believe him.

After waiting for a long time, Heemis still did not speak.

Gu Heng watched his obedient actions and felt a surge of anger rising within him.

"You have!" Gu Heng's voice softened. "Try to trust me from now on, okay? You used to be a general, can't you tell that I never intended to hurt you?"

"I don't want us to be on guard like we're dealing with an enemy insect."

Heemis nodded slowly under the sincere gaze of the powerful ruler, her expression unreadable.

He had already discovered it.
