Seeing Gao Tiantian's disappointed expression, Lin Mo did not interrupt her.

He carried Gao Tiantian, pushed open the doors of classrooms one by one, and walked past rows of desks covered in dust.

Every time Gao Tiantian entered a classroom, she would lean out of his arms and carefully scan the position of each desk.

"My brother isn't in this room."

"This place doesn't have it either."

"My brother used to take classes in this classroom, but he's not here anymore."

……

Her voice gradually changed from expectation to disappointment, and finally grew softer and softer, like a little bird that couldn't find its nest.

Lin Mo couldn't help but feel a little sad, because she had been repeating the same thing for three thousand years.

Lin Mo looked at her dejected profile, remained silent for a few moments, and then spoke, his voice much softer than usual.

"Let me take you to find your brother."

Gao Tiantian suddenly turned her head, her translucent eyes bursting with surprise.

"Really?"

"Yes, I know your brother."

"Are you his friend?"

Gao Tiantian tilted her head, looking at him curiously.

Lin Mo's brows furrowed very slightly.

His hesitation was so brief that no one but the Goddess of Judgment could detect the less than half-second pause, and then he nodded.

Gao Tiantian laughed, her eyes curving into two crescent moons.

That was a pure joy that shouldn't have appeared on the face of a soul that had been imprisoned for countless years.

Mianmian peeked her little head out from Lin Mo's shoulder, her dark eyes staring at Gao Tiantian for a long while.

Then, as if remembering something, it carefully used its two front paws to pull a piece of cake out of the spatial ring around its neck.

Those were the dry rations she had prepared when she sneaked out. They were neatly wrapped in oil paper, and the corners were slightly deformed by the junk in the ring, but they were still intact.

She held the oil paper packet in her mouth and handed it to Gao Tiantian, mumbling indistinctly, "Here, have some, it's delicious."

Gao Tiantian's eyes lit up, and she reached out to take it, but her translucent fingertips pierced through the oil paper package.

She looked down at her hand, then at the cake. Her expression wasn't particularly sad; she just withdrew her hand with a hint of helplessness and smiled wryly.

"Thank you. I can't eat anything."

Mianmian silently stuffed the cake back into the ring.

Just then, a muffled rumbling sound came from outside the teaching building.

It was a slow, even vibration, like the whole city breathing.

Through the window at the end of the corridor, you can see that the low buildings outside the school that were knocked down by the thugs last night are slowly "growing" back from the ruins.

The broken concrete beams were reassembled in mid-air, shattered glass shards flew back from the ground and embedded themselves in the window frames, and even the crushed asphalt road surface was gradually repairing itself.

The entire floating island is being refreshed, just as the middle-aged survivor said, every ten days. The buildings are restored to their original state, the supermarket shelves are restocked with supplies, and everything returns to its original appearance.

Lin Mo looked out the window and said to Gao Tiantian.

"How about I take you to your birthday party?"

Gao Tiantian was stunned, blinking, "Birthday? How did you know it's my birthday today?"

Lin Mo smiled slightly.

"Your brother told me."

After saying that, he took her translucent little hand in his, and a dark blue soul energy covered his palm, making her hand firmly in his grasp.

He led her down the stairs, through the lobby of the teaching building, and pushed open the school gate.

The survivors kneeling on either side of the entrance hall watched him leave, and no one dared to utter a sound.

The streets outside the school gate have been completely transformed.

The rusted car wreckage had vanished without a trace, the cracked asphalt road was smooth as new, and even the broken utility pole on the street corner had been rebuilt.

Lin Mo led Gao Tiantian along the street, their destination the amusement park not far away.

The God of War and Judgment floated behind him.

The God of War scratched his head as he looked at Lin Mo, "What's going on? Does he know that soul? And he keeps calling him 'brother, brother'."

The judge took a deep breath: "If I'm not mistaken, the brother that little girl was talking about should be Gao Yang."

The God of War stared wide-eyed, recalling Gao Yang's carnage in the God Realm.

Comparing himself to the little girl in front of him, his lips twitched.

The roar of engines grew louder in the distance, and several armored vehicles drove out from the street corner.

The city is being renovated; this is their celebration.

The survivors would emerge from the shelter to scavenge for food, and they could rampage freely.

But their car came to a sudden stop half a block away from Lin Mo.

Whether intentionally or unintentionally, these henchmen's chariots all avoided this place.

……

Lin Mo successfully brought Gao Tiantian to the amusement park.

The amusement park's neon signs shone with colors that seemed out of place under the hazy sky, a stark contrast to the apocalyptic atmosphere.

The carousel's speakers were still playing a nursery rhyme that was already out of tune, and the Ferris wheel's cabins were suspended in mid-air with their doors half open.

Lin Mo led Gao Tiantian across the bumper car area, and she pointed to the round little cars and said, "My brother used to take me to play on these."

After walking past the carousel, she picked a white horse and rode it, her fingers threading through the reins, but she still pretended she could hold on, swinging her legs and laughing.

As she walked past the Ferris wheel, she looked up at the highest cabin and said, "You can see so far, so far from there."

The Goddess of Judgment sat on the railing next to the carousel, her emerald green aura of soul shimmering slightly under the colored lights, a rare, faint smile playing on her lips.

The God of War has joined the ranks of those who frequent amusement parks in modern cities.

Mianmian, needless to say, was lying on the bow of the pirate ship, her expression a mixture of fear and excitement.

Gao Tiantian jumped off the carousel, ran to Mianmian, and gently touched Mianmian's fluffy head with her finger. Mianmian was stunned for a moment, then "whoosh" climbed onto Gao Tiantian's shoulder and rubbed her cheek with her head.

Gao Tiantian giggled from the tickling, her ghostly laughter echoing through the empty amusement park, even clearer than the horn of a carousel.

When Gao Tiantian came out of the amusement park, her face still showed lingering excitement.

She walked ahead of Lin Mo, backwards, looking up at him with bright, sparkling eyes: "Thank you, big brother. This is the happiest birthday I've ever had."

She suddenly seemed to remember something, reached into the pocket of her school uniform skirt, rummaged around, then stood on tiptoe and solemnly placed what she was holding in her hand into Lin Mo's palm.

"This is for you."

Lin Mo looked down and was immediately stunned.

It was a crystal.

Its appearance is almost identical to Gao Yang's divine essence crystal.

Extremely faint patterns of laws flowed within the transparent crystal, but those patterns were empty.

It contained no power of laws; it was just an empty shell.

This is an empty crystal of divine essence.

The judge, who had just stepped off the Ferris wheel, exclaimed in surprise upon seeing the crystal: "This is...!"
