"Bian Zhizhi," she whispered.

"Bian...Zhizhi?" Lu Fangchi repeated, as if chewing on something delicious.

"That's a sweet name. Let's go, I'm going to find that kid anyway, let's go together."

He walked very fast, his steps were loud, and each step made a "tap-tap" sound on the floor.

Bian Zhizhi hesitated for a moment, then followed.

She noticed that no servants came forward to stop him or remind him to be quiet.

This Lu Fangchi certainly enjoys special privileges here.

Lu Fangchi pushed open the door to the activity room without any politeness; he didn't even knock.

"Wei Xiaoxian! I brought you your favorite Chen's Pastries..."

Before he could finish speaking, a cushion flew straight at him and hit him in the face.

"It's so noisy."

It is Wei Zixian.

This was the first time Bian Zhizhi had heard Wei Zixian's voice.

Bian Zhizhi stood at the door, her heart skipping a beat for no reason.

Is he here?

Didn't Butler Li say he was "adjusting his schedule"?

Lu Fangchi caught the cushion, grinning without any annoyance. He shoved the cushion back onto the sofa and then plopped down on the carpet not far from the sofa, looking very casual.

"So angry? Fine, fine, I'll be quiet. I promise I'll be as invisible as air, okay?"

He turned to look at Bian Zhizhi, who was still standing at the door, and waved.

"Miss Bian, don't stand at the door, come in and sit down. Just pretend I'm not here, and go about your business."

Bian Zhizhi hesitated, her feet not moving.

Her gaze unconsciously fell on Wei Zixian on the sofa.

He was still curled up on the sofa, but his posture had changed. It wasn't a defensive curl-up anymore; it was more like a lazy, cozy nest.

His gaze was fixed on the book, but his ears were turned toward Lu Fangchi.

He was listening.

Even though he was showing impatience, he was still listening to his noisy friend.

Lu Fangchi chuckled at her cautious demeanor and said to Wei Zixian.

"Look at you! You've scared that girl half to death. She's a therapist your sister hired, at least show her some respect!"

The branches on the side remained still.

She didn't dare.

She wasn't sure if Wei Zixian would be willing to "tolerate" her presence when Lu Fangchi was around.

Wei Zixian didn't even lift his eyelids, but simply stretched out his foot and gently kicked Lu Fangchi's shin, signaling him to shut up.

Just then, Wei Zixian suddenly spoke up. He still didn't look up, but pointed to the long table on the other side of the room.

"You, sit over there."

That's the fixed spot Bian Zhizhi has been in for the past ten days or so.

She did as instructed and sat down in her usual spot, her fingertips slightly clenched with nervousness.

This was the first time that Wei Zixian had proactively acknowledged her existence in front of "others".

Lu Fangchi watched this scene, pursed his lips, and dragged out his words.

"Oh, so you're already assigning seats? Fine, I'll sit on the floor, and everyone else will sit at the table. Is this preferential treatment, Wei Xiaoxian?"

Wei Zixian turned a page of his book, completely ignoring him.

Lu Fangchi didn't mind and opened the paper bag on his own. The sweet and oily aroma of the pastries immediately filled the room.

"Zixian, how's your sleep lately? Are you still having that dream where you fall into the sea to try and catch the moon, only to find out it's just ice cream?"

"Shut up."

"Do you still want Wu-Tang Clan's records? I got them."

"want."

"Oh, by the way, your mom, Aunt Wei, actually sent someone to block my car the day before yesterday. She insisted that I led you astray. I'm so wronged—"

"Lu Fangchi." Wei Zixian finally raised his head, his eyes like a scorched blade. "Get lost."

Lu Fangchi laughed even louder.

He turned to Bian Zhizhi and winked, "Look at him, he started chasing people away after taking the things. Right now, he just wants to be with you."

Bian Zhizhi's fingers were twisted together under the table.

She wasn't sure if it was a compliment, nor was she sure if she should respond.

How much of Wei Zixian's impatience at this moment was genuine annoyance, and how much was a communication style reserved only for Lu Fangchi?

Lu Fangchi started talking again, his topics ranging from recent ball games to newly opened restaurants, occasionally interspersed with a few unreliable complaints about some of Wei's relatives.

Wei Zixian remained silent most of the time, but would occasionally speak up to refute, which Lu Fangchi could interpret and respond with a playful smile.

Bian Zhizhi sat quietly to the side, watching this rare scene.

This was the first time she had seen Wei Zixian interact with outsiders.

This proves that he is not completely isolated from the world; he has a "safe person" with whom he can communicate normally.

This gave her a glimmer of hope.

Lu Fangchi moved closer to her, lowering his voice even further.

"By the way, before he gets completely fed up with me, I'll give you some inside information."

This kid, he likes blue, not just a normal liking, but a kind of morbid liking.

In his room, everything from the curtains to the sheets, from the cups to the toothbrush, was blue. I suspect he finds the sky more pleasing to the eye than anyone else.

He pointed to the overly neat bookshelf.

"Also, he likes things to be neat and tidy. See that bookshelf? I suspect he measured the spacing between each book with calipers. He'd kill him if it were even a millimeter too far."

He then pointed to the continued sound of rain outside the window.

"That's not so good, but you get used to it. What I fear most is a sudden scream or the sound of porcelain breaking."

"Lu Fangchi!" Wei Zixian's voice rose an octave, carrying a warning.

"Look, look, you're getting anxious, aren't you?" Lu Fangchi winked at Bian Zhizhi. "This proves I was right."

He hates sharp noises, not just in a general way, but physiologically.

Last time I wore a new pair of leather shoes, and I walked a little too loudly. He immediately threw the shoes out the window—”

This time, what flew over was a wool knitted doll that was placed on the armrest of the sofa.

Lu Fangchi was clearly experienced; he tilted his head, and the doll flew past his ear.

It slammed against the wall behind it with a "thud," then fell softly onto the carpet.

"Alright, alright, I'll leave, I won't get in your way anymore, Young Master Wei."

Lu Fangchi raised his hands in surrender, stood up with a grin, and placed the paper bag containing the pastries on the coffee table next to Wei Zixian.

"Remember to eat the shortbread, it will collapse and lose its crispness once it cools down."

He walked to the door, put his hand on the doorknob, and then, as if suddenly remembering something, turned around.

His gaze fell on Bian Zhizhi, and the carefree smile on his face faded slightly.

"It's quite an achievement that Wei Xiaoxian has let you stay here for so many days without just kicking you out. Keep it up, healer."

The door closed.

"It's quite something that they didn't just fire you directly..."

Lu Fangchi's words echoed in her ears.

Bian Zhizhi looked at the wool doll that had fallen to the ground, then secretly glanced at Wei Zixian.

He had already lowered his head back to reading, as if the incident had never happened.

She silently walked to the long table and sat down in her seat.

Meanwhile, in the study of the main building.

Wei Yanqiu stood by the window, looking at the torrential rain outside.

Zhou Lin had just finished reporting on Lu Fangchi's visit and what was happening in the activity room.
