"What does it mean to not be bored?" Yao Junze first looked at his third uncle, who was closest to him.

Yao Qian: "I don't know. She often says I'm meticulous but boring."

He was talking about his girlfriend.

"If he's so boring, why don't you break up with him?" Yao Qian's girlfriend was asked again.

The woman's smile froze for a moment, because the two had feelings for each other, were well-matched in terms of social standing, and were arranged by their parents; breaking up would involve too many troubles.

"Well, because there are feelings involved. Sometimes it's kind of cute to watch him argue with me so seriously, like a lawyer."

"What kind of approach is the lawyer taking?"

Yao Qian quickly stopped him from continuing his research: "The premise is emotion. Once you have emotions, you'll find everything cute."

"Really?" Yao Junze glanced at his parents. They had feelings for each other, right? Why would his mother dislike his father when he had been drinking?

Yao Junze's mother pressed on again: "What are you looking at us for? We're already married. Your feelings don't even qualify as unrequited love."

Lin Wanzhen had no idea that a simple greeting had made someone else take notice of her.

On the third day of the Lunar New Year, she appeared at the security company and discussed matters with Liao Weimin.

"We will dock in about two weeks and need to unload the cargo at Yiqing Wharf and transfer it to another ship, which will take about four hours."

"Okay, I personally guarded the area that day. Your previous lines were all cut off, and this incident could very well lead to a leak of information, so there might be danger."

"Yes, this batch of equipment was custom-made by an outsourcing company. It's expensive and very important to the family. We're willing to pay any price; it's our responsibility. But Mr. Lin, you can't afford to have any accidents happen to you, so it's best if you don't go," Liao Weimin said solemnly.

Lin Wanzhen's involvement was a hasty choice made out of necessity. Unexpectedly, she had such deep feelings for the motherland. She made almost no demands and even set up a security company without hesitation, allowing them to stay in Hong Kong Island with legitimate status.

"It's alright, I'll stay in the shadows. But the Jiaolong Gang hasn't been around for long, and we don't have many capable confidants. I won't feel at ease if I don't go." Lin Wanzhen shook her head. There wasn't enough time, and she had too many things to do. Chen Axiong was trustworthy, but his abilities were average.

Da Ya and A Fa are capable, but it is Chen A Xiong who trusts them, not her.

"Be careful. Do you need any help from the Jiaolong Gang?" Liao Weimin asked cautiously, after all, it was their territory, and he was afraid of offending her.

Lin Wanzhen didn't think much of it, but shook her head and refused, saying that you can't put all your eggs in one basket.

"No need, your identities are not suitable for getting involved in gang matters."

At the dock late at night, the sounds of unloading cargo were exceptionally clear. In a secluded little rest room, Lin Wanzhen sat in a chair, her eyes closed, waiting quietly.

"A lot of well-equipped police officers have suddenly appeared outside the dock." A panicked voice rang out from outside the door.

Lin Wanzhen opened her eyes, a sharp glint in them: "The goods can't have any mishaps. Stop them."

A fleeting look of worry crossed Chen Axiong's face, but he knew that saying anything now would be pointless and would only waste time. He stepped forward, standing half a body length ahead of Lin Wanzhen, and blocked her way.

The real main force in the fight was Liao Weimin's side. Under the dim moonlight, Lin Wanzhen vaguely saw that two people on her side seemed to have fallen.

The cargo ship departed smoothly, and Liao Weimin began organizing the evacuation.

"Is someone injured?" Lin Wanzhen asked in a cold, hard tone.

"Let's leave first and talk about it later."

"You guys go first. Everyone knows this is Jiaolong Gang territory. With such a big commotion, it would be a problem if we didn't show up."

Liao Weimin whispered a word of caution and hurriedly left with his men.

Lin Wanzhen turned around and went to the back of the small lounge, where she had someone call out to her.

"Who goes there? Don't you know this is Jiaolong Gang territory? How dare you cause trouble here? Whose side are you on?"

"Come out, you're surrounded. We're the police."

Lin Wanzhen led her people out of their hiding place when a bullet came flying. Chen Axiong pulled her back, and the bullet grazed her arm as it flew past. A muffled groan came from behind.

Lin Wanzhen raised the loaded gun in her hand and hid behind a shipping container.

"Stop! Don't shoot!" There was some confusion on the police side as well.

Lin Wanzhen did not fire her gun; engaging in a firefight with law enforcement was not a good option.

"Miss Lin?"

"Yes."

After confirming her identity and receiving assurances from the police that they would not fire, she tucked the gun into her lower back and cautiously stepped out.

"Miss Lin, what happened here?"

"Shouldn't you be the ones asking me this? My men were scared by the gunshots, that's why they notified me. The Jiaolong Gang has always been law-abiding, you should know that. I was worried something serious had happened, so I rushed over, only to be injured by you." Lin Wanzhen protested her innocence fluently.

"You mean you just arrived? Did you see anyone suspicious?"

"Yeah, it's the middle of the night, how could I be walking around the docks instead of sleeping? What kind of strange people are they? I didn't see any, not even the brothers guarding the docks."

"Is someone guarding the dock?"

"There are people taking turns guarding the dock every day."

"Who is it? What's their name?"

"You'd have to ask the person in charge of scheduling. I don't know," Lin Wanzhen said frankly. As the eldest daughter-in-law, she naturally couldn't possibly remember the names of the people on duty every day.

"Who knows? We need to ask a few questions."

Chen Axiong spoke up, his tone sharp: "Even police officers can't just kill people, can they? Didn't you see we have two injured people here? Wanzhen, you're not in good health, losing so much blood, aren't you dizzy?"

"faint."

"We need to get her to the hospital for treatment and a blood transfusion. There are other injured brothers behind us who also need to get to the hospital quickly." With that, he picked Lin Wanzhen up and carried her on his back.

The police couldn't very well stop them; you can't just stop someone from getting their wound bandaged, can you? They didn't want to antagonize the Jiaolong Gang either; it was rare to find such an easy gang to deal with. As for what happened at the docks today, whether it was goods or not, that was a matter for their superiors.

This delay lasted until dawn, when Liao Weimin appeared at the hospital looking refreshed.

"Mr. Lin, I heard there was an accident at the dock yesterday? Our two brothers on duty are missing."

There were police officers present, and upon hearing this, they asked, "Are there only two people on duty?"

"The security company only sent two people."

"Are the security company's people also responsible for watching over the dock?"

This time it was Chen Axiong who spoke: "How can we keep them employed all day long? There's no profit at all, so what's wrong with letting them take the night shift for the brothers?"

It has been confirmed that two people died last night, and their bodies have been taken back to the police station.

Lin Wanzhen closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, her eyes were filled with anger: "Is it because our Jiaolong Gang is too obedient that everyone thinks we are easy to bully? They killed and injured our people for no reason. If I don't get an explanation today, I won't be able to continue as the leader."

"Give the brothers a call to assemble!"
