In front of Li Kaixin's parking space, Guo Liang had just given his car a full-body maintenance check, following the method his mechanic had taught him yesterday.

He's squatting next to the car, picking up the tools scattered on the ground.

"Xiao Guo!" Li Kaixin called out softly as he approached without anyone noticing.

Guo Liang paused in his work, then quickly stood up and greeted him with a smile, "Master, you've arrived?"

Li Kaixin hummed in agreement and looked down at the pile of tools on the ground.

"Xiao Guo, are you doing car maintenance?"

"Yes, sir!" Guo Liang scratched his head sheepishly. "I just had my car serviced, so there might be some things I didn't get right. Would you like to check it out?"

"Sure! I'll see how well you learned yesterday." Li Kaixin nodded in satisfaction and walked to the car to begin checking.

Guo Liang stood beside his master, watching nervously.

Before long, Li Kaixin looked the car over from top to bottom and was somewhat surprised.

He had assumed that his second apprentice would make some mistakes since it was his first time doing it himself, and he had prepared to comfort him, but he didn't expect him to do everything perfectly.

Seeing that Li Kaixin hadn't moved for a while, Guo Liang mustered up his courage and asked, "Master, is what I did okay?"

"Very good, very well done."

Li Kaixin patted him on the shoulder, "Better than your senior brother. He missed several places when he did car maintenance for the first time."

"Not at all, Master, it's all thanks to your excellent teaching," Guo Liang said modestly, but the corners of his mouth couldn't help but turn up in a smile.

It was truly worth it for him to have his father teach him several more times after his master left the transport station yesterday.

Li Kaixin waved his hand, seeing his second apprentice's smug little face:

"Alright, alright, stop flattering me. Put your tools away. I'll teach you something else later."

"Okay, Master!"

Guo Liang squatted down again and put the remaining maintenance tools that had not yet been organized into the toolbox one by one.

Over the next few hours, Li Kaixin taught his second apprentice some maintenance knowledge.

At the same time, just like with his eldest apprentice Zhou Zhiming, he was also given a notebook about automobiles.

After finishing all this, Li Kaixin sat on the stool, just when she thought the morning was about to end.

"Beep beep!" A whistle sounded from outside the transport station.

This commotion immediately attracted everyone in the station, even Station Master Zhao and Director Xie came out of their respective offices.

Immediately afterwards, cars drove in through the main gate, all bearing the logo of the transportation station.

Li Kaixin and some other people who had only been working at the transportation station for the past year or two were somewhat bewildered, not understanding what was going on.

Once all ten or so cars had driven in, a middle-aged man in a Zhongshan suit got out of the passenger seat of the lead car.

Director Xie and Station Chief Zhao immediately went to greet them.

"Old Chu, you're finally back." Station Chief Zhao approached and grasped the middle-aged man's hand.

The middle-aged man was named Chu Yunfeng. He was the former director of the transportation station and was sent by the organization to the Northwest to carry out a secret mission two years ago.

He was gone for more than two years.

"Old Zhao, Old Xie, long time no see!" Chu Yunfeng greeted the two with a smile.

After the two let go of each other's hands, Director Xie hugged Chu Yunfeng.

"Old Chu, now that you've brought the team back, you're not leaving again, right?"

"We're not leaving. The mission over there is complete."

Chu Yunfeng responded, shifting his gaze from his two old friends to the bicycle shed. "Old Xie, it's been two years since I've been back. The station has changed quite a bit, and there are so many people here again."

I remember when he left, he took more than 30 experienced workers with him, and they practically emptied out the station's coffers.

"Of course." Director Xie raised an eyebrow. "By the way, Lao Chu, did you get promoted to deputy station chief this time?"

Chu Yunfeng did not answer, but simply smiled and shook his head.

Director Xie's heart skipped a beat, and he said, unwilling to give up:

"Old Chu, conditions in the Northwest are so harsh, and you've stayed there for two years. The organization can't possibly not promote you, right?"

He was about to be promoted to director, but if Chu Yunfeng didn't take the position, his own transfer would be in jeopardy.

After all, there's a place for everyone, and it's impossible for one person to push Chu Yunfeng out of the competition.

Seeing Director Xie's expression, Chu Yunfeng didn't respond to that question. Instead, he smiled and asked:

"Old Xie, are you about to promote me to this position?"

"How did you know?" Director Xie's eyes widened.

"Old Xie, I'm being transferred soon!"

Chu Yunfeng laughed heartily, "You've been in the deputy director position for so many years. If I hadn't gone to the Northwest to keep things under control these past two years, you probably would have been promoted to director long ago!"

Upon hearing this, Station Chief Zhao quickly interjected, "Old Chu, where are you being transferred to?"

"The organization is going to establish a new transportation station in Beijing and I'm going to be the station manager. The transfer order will be issued in a few days."

As Chu Yunfeng spoke, he patted Director Xie on the shoulder again, "Old Xie, don't worry, you're definitely going to get the position of director of this station."

Director Xie finally breathed a sigh of relief, and a smile returned to his face:

"Old Chu, you scared me half to death! I really thought my promotion was off the table."

Station Chief Zhao, however, frowned and lowered his head in deep thought.

After exchanging a few more words with Chu Yunfeng, Director Xie quickly noticed his unusual behavior: "What's wrong, Lao Zhao?"

Station Chief Zhao didn't reply, but instead looked at Chu Yunfeng: "Old Chu, tell me the truth, what are you here for today?"

"Old Zhao, you can't hide anything from me! I'm here today to ask for a few masters."

"What?!"

Director Xie suddenly became agitated, and his voice rose several decibels:

"Old Chu, you're really being underhanded. I won't even mention the support you gave to the Northwest before, but now that you're back, you're trying to poach people from the station?"

The drivers in the bike shed, who had been watching the commotion, began to whisper among themselves upon hearing this.

"Master, this leader doesn't seem to have any good intentions!" Guo Liang whispered to Li Kaixin.

Upon hearing this, Li Kaixin slapped him on the back of the head in an annoyed tone: "What did you say, you brat!"

Although they were quite far apart, he could still hear Director Xie and the others' conversation clearly.

He naturally knew that the person opposite him was the former director of the station.

Guo Liang rubbed the back of his head and continued, "Master, if they really do transfer people, do you think you'll be transferred as well?"

"Won't!"

Guo Liang opened his mouth as if to ask another question, but Li Kaixin interrupted him directly: "Alright, alright, just focus on the notes I gave you. These things are none of your concern."

"Oh!" Guo Liang shrank back and obediently sat back down to flip through his notebook.

Li Kaixin ignored him and continued watching Director Xie.

As for Guo Liang's mention of transferring people, he didn't take it to heart at all.

Just kidding. When the military region came to ask for him before, Director Xie and Station Chief Zhao almost turned against them.

Moreover, there's Director Chu.
