On the other side, Li Kaixin and Commander Zhao stood together again, chatting casually.

As they were talking, Li Kaixin caught a glimpse of Chen Yong'an being supported out of the corner of his eye, and asked with some concern, "Commander Zhao, will this be a problem?"

"Don't worry, everyone knows what they're doing. Kaixin, don't worry about him, that kid brought it on himself," Commander Zhao replied with a smile.

After their conversation, the two had clearly become much closer.

Upon hearing this, Li Kaixin ignored it and silently mourned for Chen Yong'an a few times in her heart.

He approached and saluted: "Commander, what brings you to my camp today?"

"What, Battalion Commander Sun, you don't welcome me?"

Commander Zhao chuckled and asked in return, then looked him up and down, "Where did you run off to? I couldn't find you at the camp."

"I went out to take care of some business," Battalion Commander Sun said, his eyes darting around.

Seeing his expression, Commander Zhao didn't point it out, but then his tone suddenly became serious:

"Battalion Commander Sun, orders from higher command are for a month of intensive training in preparation for the upcoming military region skills competition."

"Yes, Commander!" Battalion Commander Sun stood at attention and gave another salute.

After the two finished discussing business, the atmosphere relaxed again.

Battalion Commander Sun glanced at the soldiers in the distance and spoke again, "Regimental Commander, should I give the order now so they can be mentally prepared?"

"No."

Commander Zhao chuckled and called out to him, "Now they all know, let them rest well today!"

Upon hearing this, Battalion Commander Sun's previous doubts were finally resolved.

He said that when he came up from the foot of the mountain, he didn't see anyone training and thought something had happened.

Then, Battalion Commander Sun's gaze fell on Li Kaixin, who was standing to the side: "Regimental Commander, who is this young man?"

"Comrade Li Kaixin, you were brought here today by the Chen Yongtai brothers."

Commander Zhao smiled and said, "Don't underestimate them. Today, they defeated everyone in your team in shooting and hand-to-hand combat."

As soon as he finished speaking, Li Kaixin smiled and extended his hand, his tone neither humble nor arrogant: "Battalion Commander Sun, hello! It's a pleasure to meet you!"

Upon seeing this, Battalion Commander Sun quickly grasped his hand.

Looking at the young man in front of him, he was so surprised that he didn't know what to say.

After the two separated, Battalion Commander Sun suddenly had a different idea and tentatively asked, "Comrade Kaixin, do you have a job now?"

"Commander Sun, I'm currently working as a driver at the transport station, and I'm very satisfied with my job," Li Kaixin replied.

He knew what Battalion Commander Sun wanted to do, and this was a polite way of declining.

Battalion Commander Sun was somewhat unwilling and wanted to say something more.

Commander Zhao immediately coughed twice, reminding him, "Don't even think about it. Have you forgotten what I just said? Kaixin came with the Chen Yongtai brothers."

Battalion Commander Sun immediately realized what was happening, gave an embarrassed smile, and didn't mention inviting Li Kaixin to join the army again.

Then, his gaze turned to the distance again, and he finally saw Chen Yong'an being carried up the tree.

"Commander, why is everyone using the old methods on Yong'an?"

Commander Zhao chuckled and recounted what Chen Yong'an had done earlier.

Upon hearing this, Battalion Commander Sun's lips twitched involuntarily.

However, I also admire Chen Yong'an; he wouldn't dare to do something like that.

Just then, Chen Yong'an's pig-like screams rang out again from the distant trees.

This was immediately followed by pleas for mercy: "Brothers, I really know I was wrong! Please let me go!"

"Weren't you quite capable just now? You even gave the regimental commander some advice." Company Commander Zhou said sarcastically from under the tree.

"Exactly!" someone chimed in. "It's one thing for you to betray other companies, but you even betray our own people."

As soon as he finished speaking, the other companies all looked over in this direction.

Seeing that things were not going well, Company Commander Zhou quickly slapped the man who had spoken on the head:

"Xiao Liu, how can you talk like that? We're a team; how can you say something so detrimental to unity?"

Then, he gave the other men in the company a forced smile: "Little Liu doesn't think before he speaks. Let's deal with Yong'an first!"

The other companies then turned their attention back to interrogating Chen Yong'an.

Company Commander Zhou breathed a sigh of relief, wiped away non-existent cold sweat, and glared fiercely at Xiao Liu.

Meanwhile, Chen Yongtai, along with Jiang Dahe and a few others, were hiding behind a tree in the distance, keeping a close eye on Chen Yong'an.

Jiang Dahe withdrew his gaze, turned his head and asked in a low voice, "Brother Yongtai, what are we afraid of? It wasn't us who instigated the regimental commander."

"Dahe, you can't judge things by appearances."

Chen Yongtai lowered his voice, "Tell me, didn't we invite Kaixin over? What if they get upset, wouldn't we suffer the same fate?"

"Are you really so heartless as to let Yong'an shoulder this burden alone? Aren't we brothers?" Wang Feng, being straightforward, couldn't help but interject.

Chen Yongtai and his brothers rolled their eyes when they heard this.

Chen Yongtai glanced at him: "Fengzi, since you're so loyal, why don't I go over and talk to them now and get you put in?"

"No, no! Brother Yongtai, I was just joking, why did you take it seriously?" Wang Feng waved his hands repeatedly and quickly shrank back.

Chen Yongtai ignored him and exchanged glances with his other brothers before continuing to watch the commotion in the distance.

Fifteen minutes later, Chen Yong'an was finally released by the crowd.

Chen Yongtai then peeked out from behind the tree, a smile playing on his lips: "Alright, let's go pick them up."

"Brother Yongtai, your attitude changed way too quickly." Jiang Dahe couldn't help but mutter to himself.

"Nonsense, that's my own brother," Chen Yongtai said matter-of-factly, and then walked over there.

Jiang Dahe and Wang Feng exchanged bewildered glances upon hearing this.

He kept thinking to himself: Who was this person just now? I don't know them.
