The young man at the head of the group dismounted and strode over.

His gaze swept over Li Kaixin and the others, finally landing on Bayar, and he chuckled, "Oh, you've brought some new faces too. Looks like your brigade has received some new recruits?"

Then, his eyes swept over the group, "But these guys all look pretty sturdy."

"Chokhtu, you've guessed wrong."

Bayar stood up to greet him, smiling and punching him on the shoulder. "This is our distinguished guest, a driver from Beijing. He wants to hunt some gazelles today."

Li Kaixin and the others behind him also stood up.

"A driver from Beijing?"

Upon hearing this, Chaoketu quickly walked up to Li Kaixin and the others, politely extending his hand, "Hello comrades! My name is Chaoketu, and I'm from the same brigade as Bayar and his group."

Li Kaixin, who was closest, shook his hand and said, "Hello, Comrade Chaoketu. My name is Li Kaixin, and I am a driver at the Sijiucheng Transportation Station."

Then he turned to the side and introduced, "These are my master Chen Dabing, my apprentice Zhou Zhiming, and my junior brother Song Hai."

As Chaoketu looked over, Master Chen and Zhou Zhiming nodded to him, while Song Hai gave a shy smile.

As soon as the two let go of each other's hands, several young men who had been traveling with Chaoketu came over from behind, leading their horses.

"Brother Chaoketu, let's get moving! If these gazelles keep eating, the grassland will be completely stripped bare," one of the youths urged.

"Risu, don't be in such a hurry." Chaoketu turned to him, smiling and greeting him, "These are drivers from Beijing, come and get to know them!"

"The driver?" Risu's face immediately darkened. He glanced at the group, his expression disdainful. "Aren't they just a bunch of spineless cowards? What's there to know about them!"

The smiling faces of Li Kaixin, Master Chen, Zhou Zhiming, and Song Hai immediately darkened.

Chao Ketu's expression changed: "Risu, how dare you speak like that? Apologize to these comrades!"

"Why should I apologize? Was I wrong?" Risu's reaction intensified. "Brother Chaoketu, don't forget what happened a few days ago!"

Chao Ketu was speechless for a moment, and was about to turn around and say something.

Zhou Zhiming couldn't hold back any longer. He stepped forward and pointed at Risu, saying, "Who are you?! Do we know you? You're so foul-mouthed right off the bat!"

"What? Did you hit a nerve?" Risu completely ignored his words, sneered, and continued attacking:

"You city folks, all skinny and weak, you should just stay in your yurts! What are you doing here, trying to embarrass yourselves?"

He spoke one sentence after another, showing no mercy whatsoever.

None of the people around Risu made any attempt to smooth things over; they simply watched the scene quietly, clearly agreeing with what Risu had said.

"Risu, you've really gone too far! What happened a few days ago wasn't done by Brother Kaixin and the others, you have to apologize to them! Otherwise..." Bayar stepped forward, looking ready to take action.

Chagan was no exception; he took a step forward and stared at him.

"What else? You want to hit me?"

Risu retorted, then looked at Li Kaixin and the others again, continuing his mockery, "Aren't you guys cowards? All you can do is..."

"Enough!" Chao Ketu interrupted sharply, his face ashen. "Risu, if you don't obey, you're not welcome in my team next time!"

Risu's expression froze when Chaoketu shouted at him. He opened his mouth as if to retort, but when he met Chaoketu's dangerous gaze, he swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue.

He glared hatefully at Li Kaixin and the others, then turned and walked aside, no longer saying a word.

Chao Ketu turned around, his face apologetic, and cupped his hands to Li Kaixin and the others: "Comrades, I'm really sorry. That kid Risu doesn't think before he speaks. Please don't take it to heart."

"Is an apology enough? What about the insults we just received?" Zhou Zhiming muttered under his breath, unimpressed.

Although the sound wasn't loud, everyone present could hear it clearly.

Chao Ketu looked somewhat embarrassed and didn't know what to say, causing the atmosphere to plummet to freezing point.

Seeing this, Li Kaixin stepped forward and patted his apprentice on the shoulder, signaling him to stop talking.

Then, he took two steps forward and looked calmly at Chaoketu:

"Comrade Chaoketu, we have received your apology. However, this Comrade Risu seems to have some misunderstanding about us. Could you tell us what exactly happened a few days ago?"

"Comrade Li Kaixin, you don't know!"

Chaoketu sighed and slowly began to explain:

"A few days ago, our team also received drivers like you. Several of the young men insisted on having Risu's brother take them hunting gazelles. His brother agreed immediately."

As he spoke, he glanced at Risu, who was squatting to the side, with a complicated expression, and continued:

"It just so happens that we ran into a pack of wolves that day. Normally, riding away on horseback wouldn't have been a big deal, but one of those young men, I don't know who it was, fired a shot randomly, hitting the belly of the horse my brother was riding. The horse was startled, and my brother fell off and had his leg broken by the horse's hooves."

"Those guys, seeing things were going wrong, just rode off on their horses, completely ignoring his brother. He's still crippled!"

After listening, Zhou Zhiming's face was no longer as indignant as before, and Master Chen and Song Hai's expressions also improved a lot.

However, although one can understand the sentiments towards Japan and the Soviet Union, being scolded for no reason is never pleasant for anyone.

Li Kaixin took a few steps forward and looked at Risu, who was squatting to the side: "Risu, right? Apologize to us now, and this matter will be over, how about it?"

"Hmph, dream on!"

Risu retorted stiffly, then his eyes darted around and he changed his tone, "However! It's not impossible for me to apologize."

Risu pointed at the herd of gazelles below the slope: "Let's have a contest of who can kill gazelles. If you beat me, I'll not only apologize to you, but you can do whatever you want with them. But if I win..."

He paused, a hint of provocation in his eyes, "You have to stand here and loudly proclaim yourself a coward, do you dare?"

"Risu, stop fooling around!" Chaoketu quickly tried to stop him.

Li Kaixin raised her hand to stop him, her gaze falling on Risu's face, a slight smile playing on her lips: "Sure, no problem!"

He has now come to understand this kid's character, and it's no problem to make him more convinced than last time.

"Alright! You've got guts." Risu immediately perked up and stood up abruptly.

Bayar and Chagan exchanged a glance, their faces showing a hint of worry. They knew Li Kaixin was capable, but Risu was a well-known sharpshooter in their area.

The people around Ri Su looked at Li Kaixin with a hint of sympathy.

Master Chen leaned closer to Li Kaixin and asked in a low voice, "Kaixin, are you confident?"

"Don't worry." Li Kaixin smiled, looking relaxed.

Seeing that he couldn't stop them, Chaoketu simply stepped forward to preside:

"Since we're going to have a competition, let's set a one-hour time limit. Whoever shoots the most gazelles wins. Is that fair?"

After speaking, he glanced back and forth across the two faces.

"Okay!" Li Kaixin and Risu agreed in unison.

Then, the two looked at each other and began to check their respective firearms.
