Just as they were having a lively conversation, Sun Yingjun walked in with a stern face.

He glanced around and saw that most of the people sitting there were young faces, and his imperious air returned:

"I don't know how your instructors teach me. There wasn't even anyone to show me the way to the cafeteria! I searched for ages!"

The people in the cafeteria immediately fell silent, except for Li Kaixin's table, where the sounds of chatting and laughing could still be heard.

Sun Yingjun naturally noticed it too, and his eyes met Li Kaixin's.

Li Kaixin didn't stand on ceremony. He smiled, raised his hand, and tapped his head lightly with his finger.

Sun Yingjun's face immediately turned pale again. He turned his face away and walked silently toward the cafeteria window.

Many of the people in the cafeteria who witnessed this scene let out suppressed snickers.

Zhou Zhiming was telling Wu Tian and the others about what happened this morning, and he didn't lower his voice, so many people heard him.

When Sun Yingjun finished getting his food and found a seat, the person sitting next to him felt like there was something dirty about him and immediately moved away.

Sun Yingjun, however, was completely oblivious, and instead felt that everyone was giving him space out of respect.

He looked up and saw Li Kaixin huddled at a table with several other people, and raised an eyebrow smugly.

Li Kaixin witnessed everything from beginning to end, and it was the first time she had ever seen someone with such a novel brain circuit.

At first, I thought Sun Yingjun was about to get angry again, but seeing his current expression, I realized that this person must have misunderstood something, and the corner of my mouth twitched slightly.

In the afternoon, since there weren't many driving assignments, Sun Yingjun started trying to get noticed by the experienced drivers around, pointing and commenting on each one he passed.

This time, however, even fewer people paid him any attention.

When it was time to leave work, the experienced workers and apprentices who had been quite annoyed by Sun Yingjun that day greeted Li Kaixin with more enthusiasm than usual.

This comparison makes everyone realize just how amiable and low-key Li Kaixin is.

After getting off work, Li Kaixin first went back to courtyard house number 94, put his bicycle inside, and then turned around and walked towards courtyard house number 93.

As soon as you push open the gate to the courtyard, a delicious aroma of meat wafts out.

Li Kai, the younger brother, spotted his older brother entering and immediately led several of his friends from the yard to excitedly surround him: "Big brother, you're finally off work!"

Several children behind them also shouted in their clear voices:

"Hello, Happy Brother!"

"Happy Brother is back!"

"Come on, everyone, come here. I'll treat you to some candy." Seeing this, Li Kaixin smiled and reached into his pocket, took out a handful of milk candies from his secret space, and gave a few to each of the children who gathered around.

The children in the yard were all very well-behaved. No one fought over the candy; they stood obediently one by one, received the candy, and then sweetly thanked the children.

Their obedient appearance softened Li Kaixin's heart, so she took out another handful and gave each child two more.

His younger brother, Li Kai, watched longingly from the side.

Seeing that the candy was almost gone, she suddenly became anxious and tugged at Li Kaixin's sleeve: "Big brother, big brother, what about me?"

"Didn't I bring home several kilograms of it a few days ago? Did you finish it all so quickly?" Li Kaixin asked, somewhat puzzled.

It would have been better if he hadn't asked. As soon as he did, Li Kai immediately became aggrieved: "Mom took them all away! She only allows Xiaoxiao and me to have two or three a day."

Seeing her younger brother's adorable expression, Li Kaixin couldn't help but laugh. She handed him the rest of the candy, saying, "Here, it's all for you. Stop pouting."

"Thank you, big brother!" Li Kai immediately took the candy with a big smile and carefully put it in his pocket.

Then, pulling Li Kaixin's hand, he led him inside. "Big brother, let's go to the backyard! Mom and Aunt Wang made lots of delicious food today."

And so, Li Kaixin was surrounded by a group of little ones in the yard and led to the backyard.

Three tables had already been set up in the backyard, and five large iron pots were bubbling and steaming.

Everyone in the courtyard gathered in the backyard, chatting idly in twos and threes.

As soon as Qin Xiuli turned her head, she saw her eldest son returning home. Her face was full of smiles: "Kaixin, go wash your hands. Everyone is waiting for you to start the meal."

Her voice stopped everyone in the courtyard from talking, and the men greeted Li Kaixin with smiles.

Li Kaixin walked towards the sink, smiling and agreeing as she did so.

Aunt Wang and her mother quickly began serving dishes to the table.

As the banquet began, Li Kaixin, being the main character of the day, was invited to sit at the head of the main table, next to his father, Li Mingde.

With the mother and the aunties in the courtyard bringing out eight dishes, the meal was finally served.

Besides the main dishes that Li Kaixin brought back in the morning, there were also cold pig ears and fried peanuts as appetizers, making the banquet even more lavish than the previous two.

The eldest son of Uncle Wang, who was sitting to the side, got up, opened a bottle of Fenjiu liquor, and filled the bottles for all eight people at the main table, including himself.

Uncle Wang was the first to stand up, raise his glass, and wear a sincere smile on his face:

"Cheers, let me toast you first. We had planned to throw you a housewarming party, but it seems you've ended up spending all that money."

"Yeah, Kaixin made us feel kind of embarrassed," Sun Dali chimed in.

The others at the table nodded and stood up, raising their glasses as well.

"Uncle Wang, Uncle Sun, please don't say that. I should thank everyone for hosting this housewarming party for me!" Li Kaixin quickly raised his wine glass, his tone sincere.

At this moment, Father Li Mingde spoke up with a smile: "Kaixin is right, come on, let's have one together!"

"Yes, yes, let's all have one together!" Everyone laughed and echoed in unison.

Everyone clinked glasses and drank their drinks in one gulp, instantly enlivening the atmosphere.

During the banquet, people would toast Li Kaixin from time to time, saying nice things. Even Aunt Wang and Aunt Zhao would offer Li Kaixin a cup of water instead of wine.

His place had become the center of the entire banquet.

After having another drink with Li Kaixin, Uncle Wang felt the atmosphere was just right, so he said in a slightly joking tone, "Kaixin, when you move to the next courtyard, don't forget about us old neighbors."

"Uncle Wang, how can this be!"

Li Kaixin chuckled and took the bait, then casually replied, "I only live in the next courtyard. I'll definitely eat and move around here. I don't want the people in that courtyard to find another excuse to report me one day."

The attitude behind those words was quite clear, and Uncle Wang understood immediately.

Then, he immediately patted his chest and said, "Kaixin, don't worry! If you are bullied in the neighboring yard, just tell us. Everyone in our yard will support you."

"Yeah, I'm happy!"

"Say something if you need anything!" The other neighbors at the table echoed this sentiment.

The banquet was drawing to a close, and it was already getting dark.

The neighbors didn't let Qin Xiuli clean up; instead, they asked her to see Li Kaixin off.

Seeing her son's face turn red, Qin Xiuli, the mother, did not refuse.

The father, Li Mingde, had drunk too much and went to bed early.

After Li Kaixin was helped away by her mother and younger siblings, the older women in the courtyard surrounded her and started asking her all sorts of questions.

"Brother Wang, how do you say 'happy'?"

"Yeah, Brother Wang, what does 'happy' mean?"

Uncle Wang raised his hand and pressed it down, waiting for everyone to quiet down before smiling and saying, "Kaixin said that, just like before, the things she brought back from the long journey will still be brought back to our yard."

The women smiled broadly upon receiving a positive response, stopped arguing, and began quickly clearing away the dishes and utensils left after the banquet.

Besides trying to build a relationship with Li Kaixin, they also wanted to find out about this matter.
