The dark green vines retreated into the ground like a python, leaving only a hole about the size of a baby's arm.

"What a coincidence, I really didn't know about their plan beforehand."

Not far away, two people wearing protective gel masks huddled together, talking in hushed tones.

Su Han's original intention was to evacuate the people in the village and intercept Tang Qiao at the village entrance to kill them all.

He has the strength to suppress them, and he doesn't want to resort to any underhanded tactics. The only thing he needs to be careful about is that the superhumans don't hurt the villagers when they fight.

Who would have thought that Tang Qiao would be so cunning as to poison the village?

Shen Chengyin used his water-based superpower to control these potions. Tiny water jets would penetrate a person's body, like being bitten by a mosquito, and most people wouldn't even have time to react.

Shen Chengyin hummed in agreement, with several high-level ability users standing behind him, their eyes glazed over.

They were not psychic ability users, and once they entered Shen Chengyin's ability range, they became his puppets.

"This potion can nullify superpowers, but its effect lasts only a short time."

In his previous life, Pan Taining also used drug samples sent by the Reconstruction Base to develop this gel that could disable superpowers.

But that was nearly ten years after the apocalypse, when superhumans had generally reached the level of godhood, and the world was in complete chaos.

Too early...something's not right.

A green vine bound Tang Bridge tightly. Su Han crossed Tang Bridge and stood at the edge of the pit, looking into it.

The superhumans in the cave have broken free from mind control and regained their sanity, but they have just been silently injected with a drug and are currently unable to use their powers.

The pit, a full three meters deep, was dug by Shen Chengyin using his spatial abilities, leaving the six grown men helplessly staring at the bottom.

Su Han squatted down and asked them with a smile, "Can you tell me why your doctor is so eager to kidnap us?"

Everyone fell silent, glaring angrily at Su Han.

Someone sighed and said softly, "Well, it's a long story, our doctor..."

Su Han interrupted him: "Make it quick."

"That won't do, it can't be explained in just a few words."

Su Han's smile deepened. "Then there's no need to say anything. No matter how much time you stall, you'll die before your powers recover. If you don't even want to say your last words, then forget it."

The superhuman in the pit was able to react and started pointing at Su Han's nose, cursing and shouting.

Su Han simply waved her hand, and several figures emerged from behind her. Leading the way was Lin Qingya, who also wore the same mask. Wang Shoushan followed behind, carrying two heavy wooden buckets, his face as black as the bottom of a pot.

Ten, twenty... almost everyone in the village who could walk around gathered together.

Lin Qingya glanced coldly into the pit: "Uncle, Aunt, the livestock that we didn't have time to take with us... they've all been ruined."

"Thank goodness no one was left inside, otherwise it would have been terrible!"

Wang Shoushan let out a heavy sigh like an old ox, his thick eyebrows furrowed. He slammed the two wooden buckets down on the ground and lifted the lids in front of everyone.

Su Han and the others, who were wearing masks, didn't react much, but the other villagers immediately covered their mouths and noses and retreated with disgust on their faces.

Su Han was curious about the methods used to punish people in this village. Upon closer inspection, she found two large buckets filled with excrement.

He silently took two steps back, glanced sympathetically at the superhumans at the bottom of the pit, shook his head, and left.

I wonder if these superhumans, who are used to living a life of luxury after the apocalypse, can accept the feeling of being doused with excrement.

The superhumans in the pit were still cursing incessantly. The leader, hot-tempered and impatient, roared like he had a megaphone in his throat, his foul language audible to everyone present.

"You sons of bitches! When I get out of here, I'll skin you alive!"

Before he could finish speaking, a ladle of excrement was poured over his head, smearing his face completely.

Thick, foul filth poured into his wide-open mouth, choking him so much that his subsequent curses turned into gurgling sobs.

Then, the second ladle, the third ladle... came pouring down all over him.

The pit erupted in chaos, with angry curses turning into screams, then into retching and coughing.

"Ugh—you...ugh...country bumpkins! How dare you...ugh..."

The other person had just raised his arm to block it when the excrement had already poured down his neck and into his collar, sticking to his skin in a sticky, cold consistency.

He felt a jolt, his stomach churned, and tears mixed with filth streamed down his face.

"Are we the lowest of the low?" A middle-aged woman at the top, hands on her hips, spoke in a loud voice, "When you were killing the livestock, did you never think about how those were our means of survival! In this time of great calamity, you didn't even think about helping each other! Instead, you came to burn, kill, and loot! I think you're not even as good as animals!"

"Exactly!" the old man next to him spat. "So what if you have superpowers? So what if you're so capable? Now you're rolling around in our latrines!"

Wang Shoushan remained silent, only scooping up the excrement one ladleful after another and pouring it down.

His movements were steady, his expression somber, as if he were watering and fertilizing the land. With each ladleful he poured, the screams and sobs from the pit rose a notch higher.

Originally, the mask was supposed to block out odors, but once sewage gets on the mask, it will seep into the purification device and become impossible to save, so it has to be removed.

The excrement soaked their hair, clouded their eyes, and seeped into their tightly pursed lips.

They were once revered high-level superhumans, capable of splitting earth and rocks with a wave of their hand. They never imagined they would be surrounded by a group of ordinary people in a pit, wantonly humiliated.

The feeling of humiliation is harder to bear than being doused with excrement.

Along the edge of the pit, the villagers poured several large buckets of sewage down into it.

"Isn't it satisfying? We've been saving this for days, it's still fresh!"

Amidst the laughter, the excrement continued to pour down.

The bottom of the pit was muddy and treacherous. The superhumans, their arrogant demeanor gone, cowered and hid, but there was nowhere to escape.

Some people began to plead for mercy in low voices, their voices drowned out by the sounds of retching and splashing, and even louder than the laughter of the villagers.

Su Han didn't have time to watch the farce. When he turned around, Shen Chengyin was just two steps away from Tang Qiao.

The two men stared at each other coldly, but Tang Qiao remained completely calm and even had time to laugh a couple of times.

"You two... I haven't settled the score with you for framing me at Hope Base yet."

"You're still in debt to me since you're not dead." Shen Chengyin raised his hand, and Tang Qiao's lower body blood instantly froze into ice.

Tang Qiao lost contact with his lower body with almost no pain. He gritted his teeth and stared at Su Han, who was approaching him.

Su Han was a little curious. She looked at her watch; the medicine was about to take effect.

He asked Tang Qiao, "I'm curious, you previously worked for Wang Jiafu for arms. What are you working for Pan Taining for now?"

Tang Qiao didn't beat around the bush; he answered crisply, "To become a god."

Suhan was startled.

The term "becoming a god" is too early for us to use.

After breaking through the shackles of advanced abilities and touching the boundary of godhood, humanity gradually embarked on the path to godhood. Only then were three levels of superpowers established, igniting a frenzy of battles and competition among superpowered individuals.

"How does one become a god?" Su Han asked.

Tang Qiao made no attempt to hide it, "Awakening five superpowers is enough to become a god. Pan Taining has the technology and surgical facilities for transferring superpowers; if you need it, I can take you there—"

The man's voice abruptly stopped.

Because his heart was frozen.

Tang Qiao looked at Shen Chengyin in disbelief, his entire body frozen into a stiff ice sculpture.

Su Han was killed by Shen Chengyin halfway through the other person's conversation.

He looked at Shen Chengyin with displeasure, while Shen Chengyin pointed to his watch and said innocently, "Time is almost up."

Five minutes have passed since the minimum time required for the drug to disable the superpowers. If Tang Qiao were to suddenly regain his powers, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Although he and Su Han could handle it, they couldn't protect so many villagers at the scene.

Su Han sighed, and before the superhumans in the pit who had been splashed with excrement could react, she let Shen Chengyin end their lives decisively.

It contains many people with rare abilities such as time and space manipulation, and even those with multiple abilities, but they are countered by the ability-inactivating drug, and even these prodigies are powerless to fight back.

The loose soil filled the pit again, like applying fertilizer. Wang Shoushan used a shovel to level the top of the pit, and then slammed it down twice more amidst the curses of the villagers.

Su Han even sensed a touch of revolutionary sentiment in the villagers' indignant tone.

Tang Qiao's body was left unattended, and dark green vines quietly wrapped around his waist once more.

Tang Qiao's pistol lay quietly in the grass not far away.

He took two steps forward, picked it up, and found it heavy in his hand.

He hadn't touched a gun in a long time, and he always missed; the thing felt very unfamiliar to him.

"Shen Chengyin, I think I should go to the Dawn Base and kill Pan Taining."

Su Han looked up at Shen Chengyin.

The next second, his blood froze instantly, and a chill ran from his limbs to his scalp, exploding in his head.

"Get out of the way—!!"

"Get out of the way—!!!"
