Time Travel: My Comfortable Life After Going to the Countryside
Chapter 247 Lin Xue
When Lin Xue returned, she had changed into a pair of dark pants. She pushed open the door and came in, and the classroom was quiet for a moment.
The dark pants were a little tight, perfectly outlining the curves of her hips.
Her upper body was round and chubby, swaying as she walked. Her waist was slender and narrow, and her white shirt was stretched to its limit, with the collar taut and the buttons looking like they were being pulled up.
Lin Xue walked up to Liu Xiangyang, bowed slightly, and gave him a shy smile: "Liu Xiangyang, thank you so much for your coat. I'll return it to you after I wash it."
Liu Xiangyang felt a unique fragrance and pressure emanating from the girl, and when he looked up, a mountain of pressure loomed right in front of him.
Liu Xiangyang steadied himself and admired the scene for a while before waving his hand and saying, "It's nothing, we're all classmates, helping each other is only right."
Lin Xue met his gaze, her smile widening. She straightened up, turned around, and her round bottom almost touched his hand, her long hair brushing against his face.
"I still want to thank you. Out of so many people, you're the only one who helped me." After saying that, she bit her lip and glanced at Zhao Xiaoman with a hint of provocation in her eyes.
Zhao Xiaoman reached out and grasped Liu Xiangyang's hand, which was hanging by her side, and raised it upwards with their fingers interlocked.
She looked at Lin Xue with a slight smile, their eyes sparking with a hint of chemistry.
Liu Xiang looked at Zhao Xiaoman, then at Lin Xue, and squeezed Zhao Xiaoman's hand tightly.
Lin Xue stared at their clasped hands for a moment, then straightened up, smiled at Liu Xiangyang, and said, "Class is about to start, I'll go back to my seat first. I'll return your clothes to you after I've washed them."
After Lin Xue finished speaking, she twisted her waist and returned to her seat, and Liu Xiangyang then looked away.
"Ouch, why are you pinching me again?"
"Is it pretty?"
Liu Xiangyang was stunned for a moment, then smiled.
"nice."
Zhao Xiaoman tightened her grip.
Liu Xiangyang quickly replied, "But it's not as big as yours, and probably not as soft either."
Zhao Xiaoman glared at him, but the corners of her mouth curled up, and she gently pinched his hand: "You're smart enough to agree to what you just said."
"Hehe, then I need to prepare properly."
At this moment, Sun Famiao pushed open the door and entered the classroom, and the classroom quieted down. Today, Sun Famiao was going to talk about the identification and collection of Chinese herbal medicines.
As get out of class was about to end, Liu Xiangyang stood up and walked to the podium.
"Teacher Sun, I'd like to ask for leave. I need to go back to Dongsheng Village this afternoon."
Sun Famiao dusted off the chalk dust in his hand, looked up at him, and asked, "Why do you suddenly want to go back?"
Liu Xiangyang lowered his voice: "Isn't it supposed to be acupuncture for Director Qin next week? I need to go back and prepare some things. My master has a set of needles, and I'm used to using them."
Sun Famiao looked at him and nodded: "This is important. Okay, then I'll put in a good word for you. When can you come back?"
Liu Xiangyang nodded: "I'll be back Monday morning."
Sun Famiao waved his hand: "Then there's no problem, go ahead."
At lunchtime in the cafeteria, Liu Xiangyang sat down opposite Zhao Xiaoman with his lunchbox.
Zhao Xiaoman glanced up at him, then continued eating.
Liu Xiangyang picked up a piece of food with his chopsticks and put it in her bowl.
"I need to go back to the village after I finish eating."
Zhao Xiaoman paused with her chopsticks and looked up.
"Going back to the village? What for?"
"I had some things to take care of, so I took two days off," Liu Xiangyang said, taking a bite of his rice. "I'll be back Monday morning."
Zhao Xiaoman said "Oh" and lowered her head to continue eating.
After taking a few bites, she looked up again.
"Will you only be back Monday morning?"
Liu Xiangyang nodded.
"Hmm, we need to prepare some things."
Zhao Xiaoman nodded and didn't say anything more, but simply ate the food he had put on her plate.
After finishing their meal, the two walked outside.
As they reached the cafeteria entrance, Zhao Xiaoman suddenly grabbed his hand.
Liu Xiangyang turned around.
Zhao Xiaoman looked at him, her lips moving slightly.
"Are you going back alone?"
Liu Xiangyang nodded.
Zhao Xiaoman was silent for two seconds before letting go of her hand.
"Then drive carefully."
Liu Xiangyang laughed and reached out to pinch her cheek.
I'll bring you something delicious on Monday.
Zhao Xiaoman's lips curled up, her face full of arrogance: "Who cares?" But she couldn't hide the smile in her eyes.
After finishing his meal and saying goodbye to Zhao Xiaoman, Liu Xiangyang rode his bicycle out of the hospital gate, turned two streets, and rode into an alley he knew well, arriving at Wanwu's stronghold.
The door was ajar. He pushed it open and went inside. The room was dimly lit, and there were all sorts of odds and ends on the shelves. Behind the counter, the lean man from last time was dozing off. Hearing the noise, he looked up, saw Liu Xiangyang, and his eyes lit up instantly.
"Brother Liu is here? Brother Wu is behind us, I'll take you there."
Liu Xiangyang followed him through the shop, out the back door, and after wandering around twice, arrived at the backyard of an inconspicuous old Russian-style building.
Knock on a small door covered with sheet metal. A lean, middle-aged man with sharp eyes opened the door. He paused for a moment when he saw Liu Xiangyang, then smiled.
Following the man into the house, I found it more spacious than I had imagined. There was a stove burning, making it very warm, but what surprised me even more were the things inside.
On the wooden shelves against the wall, goods that are scarce or even unavailable on the market are neatly stacked: bolts of Dacron, brightly colored cotton cloth, well-packaged leather shoes, boxes of Shanghai brand watches, and even transistor radios and cartons of cigarettes. The air is filled with the smells of fabric, leather and tobacco.
At this moment, Wanwu pushed open the door from the inner room and, through the slightly ajar door, could see a woman lying on the kang (a heated brick bed) inside, slowly getting dressed.
"Brother, you've finally arrived!" Wan Wu strode up to Liu Xiangyang, shook his hand, and said, "How did you like the stuff from last time? Just tell me what you want this time, and the price will be the same as we agreed last time!"
Liu Xiangyang pulled his hand away and smiled, "Then thank you very much, Brother Wu. It's summer now, so I came over to buy some things."
Wan Wu's gaze swept over him, his smile widening: "Understood, understood! Whatever you want, brother, I have it all here. Take a look, I guarantee it's all good stuff."
Liu Xiangyang stopped being polite and began walking between the shelves, his eyes scanning the items as he told Wan Wu what everyone wanted.
While Wan Wu was taking notes quickly, he instructed his assistant to fetch the goods as instructed. He couldn't help but look amazed. How many more people had this guy taken on in such a short time?
The items quickly piled up into a small heap. Liu Xiangyang thought for a moment and then added, "Brother Wu, do you still have those stockings from last time?"
Wan Wu paused for a moment, then laughed and lowered his voice: "Yes! A new batch just arrived, and we've reserved them all for you."
Liu Xiangyang nodded: "Twenty pairs of the same."
Wan Wu's eyes lit up, and he winked at the man next to him. The man turned and went into the inner room, quickly took out a cloth bag, and handed it to Wan Wu.
Wan Wu opened it for Liu Xiangyang to see; inside were stacks of neatly folded stockings, so thin they were almost translucent.
"Good stuff, imported goods, I've saved some for you. I've used a few pairs myself."
Liu Xiangyang glanced at him. "Fellow enthusiasts."
When it came time to pay, Liu Xiangyang took out a dozen yuan bills from his bag, counted them, and paid the price quoted by Wan Wu.
Wan Wu accepted the money with a smile and then offered him a cigarette.
"Brother, let me know in advance what you need next time, and I'll prepare it for you."
Liu Xiangyang took the cigarette, didn't light it, and tucked it behind his ear.
"Okay, I'll be going now."
Wan Wu saw him to the door, then suddenly remembered something and lowered his voice:
"By the way, bro, things' been a bit tense lately. The higher-ups might be investigating. Be careful over there, don't let anyone see you."
Liu Xiangyang glanced at him and nodded.
"understood."
He pushed the bike out of the alley, and while no one was around, he put everything into his spatial storage. Liu Xiangyang then mounted the bike and rode towards Chen Jie's house.
