Time Travel: My Comfortable Life After Going to the Countryside
Chapter 222 You've eaten that bullwhip and it's gone to the dog's stomach!
After finishing Zhou Zhiming's class in the afternoon and having dinner, Liu Xiangyang had just put down his bowl when Zhao Xiaoman came over.
"Will you come for a walk with me later?"
Liu Xiangyang glanced at her, said nothing, and stood up.
The two walked slowly along the path behind the hospital.
It was completely dark, and the streetlights were only a few far apart, casting a dim yellow light that didn't illuminate very far.
Zhao Xiaoman walked beside him, her hands sometimes hanging down, sometimes raised, and sometimes hanging down again.
After walking a few steps, she gently touched him with the back of her hand.
After walking a few more steps, her hand touched him again. This time he didn't pull away; it just stayed close.
Zhao Xiaoman pursed her lips, but the corners of her mouth were turned up.
After a few more steps, her hand slid over and her fingers gently hooked around his little finger.
Liu Xiangyang smiled, took her hand in his, and intertwined their fingers: "Now you can't escape, can you?"
Zhao Xiaoman paused for a moment, then lowered her head. Her face was not visible in the darkness, but the tips of her ears were red.
The two walked forward hand in hand, silently experiencing each other's presence.
After walking for a short while, Liu Xiangyang suddenly grabbed Zhao Xiaoman's hand, raised his chin, and pointed forward.
"Look over there."
Zhao Xiaoman followed his gaze.
Not far ahead, two figures were walking side by side, a man and a woman, very close together. The man was wearing a white shirt, his hair was neatly combed, and his gait looked somewhat familiar.
As I got closer, I could see his profile clearly in the light.
It's Zhou Zhiming.
The woman next to him wasn't the nurse surnamed Li from yesterday; it was someone else. She was quite pretty, wearing a light-colored coat, and was looking up at Zhou Zhiming as she spoke.
Liu Xiangyang and Zhao Xiaoman exchanged a glance.
Zhao Xiaoman's lips curled up, and she lowered her voice: "We really have a special connection with Teacher Zhou."
Liu Xiangyang tightened his grip on the hand he was holding: "He changed partners, but his judgment isn't as good as mine."
"I can now hold the hand of the most beautiful person in the hospital."
Zhao Xiaoman said with a delighted look, "You smooth talker, how about we see what Teacher Zhou does like yesterday?"
Liu Xiangyang smiled and said, "What do you think?"
The two slowed their pace, falling far behind Zhou Zhiming and his companion.
Zhou Zhiming and the woman walked at a moderate pace, heading deeper into the hospital, bypassing the outpatient building and the inpatient department, until they reached a small, detached building.
That little building looked quite old; it had three floors and the windows were all dark.
Zhao Xiaoman leaned close to Liu Xiangyang's ear and whispered, "Where is this?"
Liu Xiangyang squinted and looked around, spotting the sign for the sanatorium.
"It should be a ward for high-ranking officials."
He had heard Wang Dazhu say that there was a small building behind the hospital that was prepared for high-ranking leaders, and it was usually empty with hardly anyone living there.
Zhou Zhiming led the woman around the small building and up the stairs, as if he had been there many times before.
Liu Xiangyang and Zhao Xiaoman waited behind them for a while before tiptoeing upstairs.
The two tiptoed up to the second floor, listened carefully for a while, and faint voices came from the room at the far end.
Liu Xiangyang and Zhao Xiaoman slowly crouched down and moved over to the windowsill.
Zhou Zhiming's voice came through:
"What's the rush? Your husband has to work the night shift all night."
The woman chuckled, "A whole night? I'd be happy if you could last half an hour."
"This time, I've really prepared something good."
"What good stuff?"
"Bullwhip, this is something I got with great difficulty. I guarantee it will kill you later."
There was a rustling sound coming from inside, like something had been knocked over.
Then came the woman's low, panting voice:
"You didn't cook this cow testicle properly, did you? It smells fishy."
"Never mind that, as long as it works." Zhou Zhiming's breathing became heavy. "I heard it only works if it smells fishy, and look, it's working pretty well now, isn't it?"
Then came a denser rustling sound, the rustling of fabric, a woman's soft laughter, and a man's panting.
"Don't...hurry..."
"I've been waiting for a week, can't I get impatient? Let me see if this cow gallstone I worked so hard to get is even useful."
"Be gentle..."
Liu Xiangyang's throat went dry as he listened.
Zhao Xiaoman was pressed against him, listening, her breathing becoming heavier and heavier, her grip on his arm tightening.
The sounds inside were becoming increasingly incoherent.
The woman's voice began to tremble, with suppressed moans, while the man's breathing grew heavier, interspersed with some indistinct words.
"Zhou Zhiming, you've really wasted your money. You're such a useless piece of trash."
"Don't worry, let me rest for a bit. I promise I'll be able to get up again."
Liu Xiangyang felt like he was about to collapse, and he looked down at Zhao Xiaoman.
Zhao Xiaoman blushed furiously, her eyes were watery, her lips were slightly parted, and her breath was blowing all over his neck, making it feel hot and itchy.
She was looking at him too.
Their eyes met, and they both paused for a moment, startled.
The sounds inside continued; the woman's moans grew louder and louder, almost choked with sobs, while the man's breathing became heavier and heavier, occasionally punctuated by a swear word or two.
Hearing the commotion inside, Liu Xiangyang knew they were almost done. He leaned close to Zhao Xiaoman's ear and said, "They're almost finished. Let's hurry and leave before we get caught. Take it slow."
Zhao Xiaoman's dazed eyes snapped open. She nodded and carefully moved out, with Liu Xiangyang following behind her.
A moment later, the two moved to the top of the stairs. Zhao Xiaoman had just breathed a sigh of relief and stood up when Liu Xiangyang grabbed her and kissed her.
Zhao Xiaoman made a soft "hmm" sound, then went limp in his arms, her hands clinging to his shoulders, and tilting her head up in response.
Liu Xiangyang pinned her against the wall and kissed her deeply and urgently.
His hand moved up from her waist, slipped inside her clothes, and touched a patch of warm skin.
Zhao Xiaoman trembled and let out a soft hum, but she didn't flinch.
Liu Xiangyang's hand caressed her back, his palm tracing along her spine and sliding down to her waist.
Zhao Xiaoman's breathing became heavier and heavier, and she clung to him, too weak to stand.
They were kissing passionately when they suddenly heard footsteps coming from downstairs in the stairwell.
Liu Xiangyang snapped out of his daze, released her, pulled her clothes down a bit, covered her mouth, and shook his head at her.
Zhao Xiaoman's eyes widened, and she nodded.
The two held their breath and huddled in the shadows of the stairwell.
The footsteps grew closer, accompanied by voices.
"Don't believe in these folk remedies next time. Don't you usually hate these traditional Chinese medicine remedies the most?" It was the nurse's voice, tinged with reproach. "They make you smell weird all over."
Zhou Zhiming's voice followed, furious: "That son of a bitch, I'll curse him to death next time I see him. He's useless and only brings trouble upon himself."
The footsteps stopped at the top of the stairs, and the two seemed to have stopped.
The nurse's voice rang out again, this time with a hint of sarcasm: "Zhou Zhiming, I'm not trying to be mean, but you could at least last seven or eight minutes before, but with this weird trick, you didn't even last three minutes. Don't bother me with this one."
"I was fooled by him, I'll never believe him again."
"I can't be bothered to talk to you," the nurse said. "Three minutes isn't even enough to take off your pants and fart. You've really wasted your bull penis."
Zhou Zhiming panicked, his voice cracking: "What do you know! I was just not in the zone!"
"Not in the zone?" The nurse laughed. "You said you weren't in the zone last time, and the time before that too, Zhou Zhiming. Are you just completely incapable?"
"You fucking..." Zhou Zhiming's voice trailed off again, as if something was blocking his throat.
Then the nurse's voice rang out again, this time softer, but every word was clear:
"Never mind, I'm going back. I have to work the early shift tomorrow."
"Tang Xiaohong!" Zhou Zhiming called out.
The footsteps faded into the distance, growing fainter and fainter until they could no longer be heard.
