Time Travel: My Comfortable Life After Going to the Countryside
Chapter 191 You must be really holding it in!
"What a disgrace." Xue Bingbing rolled her eyes at him, walked over, and took off his clothes.
Xue Bingbing's fingers deftly unbuttoned Liu Xiangyang's shirt, her movements as swift as ever, her fingertips occasionally brushing against his muscular chest.
"I smell of earth from the mountains, and I'm sweaty," she said softly, draping her clothes over the back of the chair next to her. Under the lamplight, her face was alluring, and her eyes were gentle.
Liu Xiangyang let her do as she pleased, but his gaze followed Luo Lan as she carried water in and out. Luo Lan rolled up her sleeves, revealing a section of her fair arm. After a few trips back and forth, the bath was almost full of water, and steam rose gently.
"The water's ready, come on over, don't catch a cold." Roland tested the water temperature, turned around and called out, her cheeks slightly flushed from the steam.
Liu Xiangyang walked over shirtless, stepped into the bath, and was enveloped by the warm water, which made him breathe a long sigh of relief.
Xue Bingbing moved a small stool and sat down next to him, picking up a bar of soap and a towel. Luo Lan knelt on the other side of the bathtub, also holding a towel in his hand.
Neither of them spoke, only the sound of water splashing. Xue Bingbing first helped him wash his back and arms with just the right amount of pressure, while Luo Lan carefully washed his calves and feet. Their four hands were busy on his limbs, working in perfect harmony, as if they were doing an ordinary household chore.
When they reached the front of the pool, Xue Bingbing paused for a moment. Liu Xiangyang leaned against the edge of the pool, his eyes closed, the steam making his angular face somewhat blurry.
"You must have been holding it in for so long, right?" Xue Bingbing's voice was very low, almost drowned out by the sound of water. Her hands didn't stop; the towel slid down his abs.
Liu Xiangyang didn't open his eyes, but hummed in response through his nose.
Roland looked up and exchanged a glance with Xue Bingbing.
Roland put down the cloth in his hand, moved forward a little, and gently placed his hands on the outside of Liu Xiangyang's thighs. Xue Bingbing turned slightly to block the view that might come from the doorway—even though the door was closed tightly.
Roland crouched down, her jet-black hair gleaming under the electric light. She moved very gently and carefully, as if afraid of hurting something, yet with a sense of familiarity.
Liu Xiangyang's Adam's apple bobbed. His eyes remained closed, but his breathing became noticeably heavier. His hand, resting on the edge of the pool, unconsciously clenched into a fist and then relaxed.
Xue Bingbing watched from the side, her face flushed, idly splashing water with a cloth in her hand to wipe his shoulders and neck. Her gaze followed Luo Lan's hunched back and then moved to Liu Xiangyang's firm eight-pack abs. Her eyes were burning, and even the air she exhaled seemed to get hotter.
After a while, Roland raised her head, her eyes watery. She coughed lightly twice and looked at Xue Bingbing.
Xue Bingbing put down the cloth and unbuttoned the top two buttons of her blouse. She was wearing a moon-white undershirt underneath, and as she bent over, her soft and full figure was revealed in the dim light.
She looked into his eyes, licked her lips, cupped her hands, and offered him her tender heart.
Liu Xiangyang's breathing became completely erratic. He lifted his arm from the water and stroked her hair: "Who taught you that?"
"Among the books Dr. Han gave you, there's a small booklet with pictures."
"What else did I teach you?"
Xue Bingbing didn't speak, and lowered her head...
"Hmm~, Bingbing, you all need to study this booklet carefully. I'm going to check everyone's learning progress!" Liu Xiangyang snorted and said in a slightly trembling voice.
"What's the rush?" Xue Bingbing let out a soft groan as he squeezed her, patting his bare back. Her voice, however, carried no reproach, but rather a hint of indulgent hoarseness. "Sister Lan has learned a lot. Go to the kang (heated brick bed)."
Roland blushed deeply at Xue Bingbing's words, quickly stood up, grabbed a towel, and said, "Bingbing has learned so much. I only read for a short while before she snatched the book away."
Xue Bingbing also stepped away from his embrace, leaving the silk bodice askew. Her face was unreadable, except that her ears were slightly red.
Liu Xiangyang stood up from the bathtub, water droplets rolling down his taut muscles. Roland stepped forward and gently wiped his body with a towel.
Xue Bingbing had already gone into the inner room and was making a rustling sound as she laid out the kang (a heated brick bed).
When Liu Xiangyang dried himself off and walked into the inner room wearing only trousers, the quilts had already been laid out on the kang (a heated brick bed), the light bulb had been turned off, and Xue Bingbing had placed an oil lamp on the table, leaving only a hazy halo of light.
Xue Bingbing and her companion, who were only wearing close-fitting undergarments, were sitting on the edge of the kang (a heated brick bed). When they saw the two of them come in, they moved over.
Xue Bingbing patted the middle of her head: "Hurry up, your hair is still wet, be careful not to get a headache."
Liu Xiangyang lay down on the kang (a heated brick bed), and Luo Lan immediately took another dry cloth, knelt behind his head, and gently wiped his hair. Xue Bingbing lay down on her side, facing him, with one hand on his chest, idly tracing circles on his chest.
"Are the wolf packs... dangerous?" Xue Bingbing suddenly asked in a low voice.
"Not bad." Liu Xiangyang closed his eyes, enjoying the massage of Roland's fingertips on his scalp and the warmth of Xue Bingbing's palms. "If we run into them, we'll deal with it."
"Be more careful next time." Xue Bingbing didn't say much, her fingers sliding to his ribs, where there was a faint old scar. "We're not short of food at home."
"Mmm." Liu Xiangyang responded, turned over to face Xue Bingbing, and pulled them both into his arms.
The oil lamp flame flickered one last time before going out.
Moonlight filtered through the paper window, casting a hazy glow on the three figures nestled together on the kang (a heated brick bed). Soft sounds were swallowed by the darkness, leaving only their gradually calming and drawn-out breathing.
The next day, just as dawn broke, two long cutting boards were set up under the old locust tree next to the production team's grain drying ground.
On the cutting board lay a small mountain of dark red wolf meat chunks, with two large scales beside it. A faint, gamey smell of wild game wafted in the air, but to the villagers, it was the unmistakable aroma of meat.
Zhang Tiejun and Wang Lixin stood behind the chopping board, while accountant Li Jianjun, with a dark face, kept the accounts in the ledger. Several burly young men who had been called in to help were responsible for weighing and dividing the meat.
The area around the threshing ground was already crowded with villagers who had heard the news. Men, women, and children were all there, some carrying basins and others carrying baskets, all craning their necks to look ahead, their faces filled with anticipation and excitement, and the buzzing of discussion never stopped.
"Look at this meat! Is it really wolf meat? It looks really substantial!"
"How could it be false? Tie Jun said it himself: that young man Liu Xiangyang went into the mountains alone and took down eight wolves!"
"Eight?! My goodness... this young man is too reckless!"
"What tiger or not, he's a patrolman, he's really capable! So we got our share of the meat, right?"
"They said it was sent in the name of those female educated youth, Luo Lan and He Xiaoqin, saying it was a token of their appreciation, and they even gave them work points for it."
"These girls, they seem quiet usually, but they really care about our village."
"Tsk, if you ask me, Liu Xiangyang is really generous! He risked his life to hunt the wolf, but he credits the profits to others. Those who work for him always benefit!"

Wolf meat doesn't taste good, and it would give his woman a good impression among the villagers, so they broke up.
