Chapter 114 Eat shit!
11pm late at night.
Wan Chai, Jaffe Road.
This is the red-light district, just one street away from the bustling Central district, where neon lights flash and desires run rampant.
Inside a disco called "Saigon Nights," heavy metal music was deafening.
In the center of the dance floor, a spotlight shone on a man dressed in a flamboyant purple blouse and a black suit. He was swaying and dancing wildly to the powerful beat. His movements were exaggerated and frenzied, occasionally punctuated by a strange cry, as if the entire dance floor belonged to him.
Brother Zha, the boss of the Vietnamese gang, is a madman with an eccentric personality and ruthless actions.
"Great! Brother Zha danced well!"
The thugs and hostesses around him cheered loudly, and Brother Zha was even more smug. He turned around and slid directly to the booth, picked up a bottle of beer and drank it all in one gulp.
"Cool!"
Brother Zha roared and wiped the wine stains from the corner of his mouth.
Just then, a henchman ran over in a panic, clutching a mobile phone, and shouted into Brother Zha's ear, "Boss! It's a call! It's from Hung Hing in Mong Kok!"
"Hung Hing?"
The guy frowned, took off his sunglasses to reveal a pair of menacing eyes. He took the phone, his tone unfriendly: "Hey? Who is this?"
A cold voice came from the other end of the phone: "Brother Zha, right? This is Ah Wah. Your man is in my hands. If you want him alive, bring one million to the Golden Phoenix Cafe in Mong Kok before midnight. No exceptions."
"Beep—beep—"
The phone hangs up.
"Damn it!" Brother Zha slammed his expensive mobile phone to the ground, shattering it into pieces. "Ahua? A newly promoted nobody dares to hang up on me?!"
The music continued, but Brother Zha's face had darkened to the point of looking murderous. He waved his hand, and the underlings who had been partying immediately quieted down and went to inform the other two bosses.
A moment later, inside the private room.
The three leaders of the Vietnamese clique have reunited.
The eldest is Brother Zha, the second is Tony, and the third is Ah Hu.
"That Ah Hua said our little brother Ah Gou is in his hands, and he wants a million dollars in ransom." Brother Zha lit a cigar, took a deep drag, and said, "This is clearly a blatant disrespect to our Vietnamese gang."
"Brother, this is my fault," Tony, who had been sitting in the shadows with a sinister look in his eyes, finally spoke. He was the strategist and the most skilled of the three brothers. "I sent Ah Gou to Mong Kok to test the waters. Yau Tsim Mong is a lucrative place. Ah Wah set a rule against selling drugs, so the market there was vacant. I thought I could take advantage of that. But that idiot Ah Gou dared to go to their headquarters to sell drugs on the very first day, got caught red-handed, and even betrayed us."
"Even if they're stupid, they're still our people," said Ah Hu, the third brother, a martial arts fanatic, cracking his knuckles. "They captured our people and dare to ask for money; they're asking for death. Big brother, second brother, let me take some men to take down that bastard Ah Hua!"
"You can't do it," Tony shook his head, a calculating glint in his eyes. "Ahua is now the head of the Hero Hall, and he has Jiang Tiansheng backing him up."
"Then what do we do? Pay up?" Brother Zha stubbed out his cigarette on the table. "When I, Brother Zha, am in this business, I'm the one who robs others, never the other way around!"
"We're definitely not giving them the money," Tony stood up, straightened his collar, and said, "We're bringing the man back, and we're getting our face back. We're taking the brothers, the weapons, and going to meet that legendary Mong Kok upstart."
"Let's try diplomacy first, then force. If we can't reach an agreement..." Tony's eyes flashed with murderous intent, "then let him know how fast the Vietnamese gang's knives can be."
……
Half an hour later.
Six dilapidated but powerful Toyota vans roared toward the undersea tunnel.
The carriages were filled with fierce-looking, dark-skinned Vietnamese thugs. In the last carriage, a henchman sitting in the corner looked somewhat nervous.
Watson is an undercover police officer who has infiltrated a Vietnamese gang.
Looking at the bulging machetes and even Black Star pistols at the waists of his accomplices, Watson knew that something big was going to happen tonight. These Vietnamese gangsters were lunatics; if a fight broke out, it would be a bloodbath.
Before getting on the bus, he pretended to have a stomachache and secretly called the police. The person who answered the phone was named Ma Jun.
……
Mong Kok, Kam Fung Cafe.
This is a long-established tea restaurant, owned by Ahua. Tonight, a "Closed for Business" sign has been put up.
The table, which should have been laden with milk tea and pineapple buns, was now completely empty. Two people sat at a round table in the center of the hall.
Ahua, dressed in a white shirt, calmly sipped his iced lemon tea.
Fly sat next to him, playing with a watermelon knife in his hand, occasionally tapping Ah Gou, who was kneeling on the ground, with the back of the knife.
At this point, Ah Gou was in a terrible state, his face bruised and swollen, his right hand hanging limply at his sides, clearly ruined by the plane, and his whole body was trembling like a leaf.
"Boss, do you think that scumbag brother will come?" Fly asked.
"Yes," Ah-Hua put down his cup. "The Vietnamese gang has just established itself in Hong Kong, and their most important trait is ruthlessness. If their underlings are arrested and they don't dare to show their faces, how will they survive?"
Before he could finish speaking...
"Squeak—!!"
The screeching sound of brakes echoed at the doorway.
Immediately afterwards, the roller shutter door of the ice room was roughly pulled open.
A chilling aura instantly swept in.
Brother Zha walked in front, followed closely by Tony and Ah Hu, with more than twenty menacing Vietnamese guys behind them.
"Hey, it's quite lively here," Brother Zha said as soon as he entered the room. He saw Ah Gou kneeling on the ground, half dead. His eyes twitched, but he forced a smile. "This must be Brother Hua, right? I've heard so much about you. I'm Brother Zha."
Ahua remained seated, neither moving nor standing up, and simply nodded slightly: "Sit."
This is an extremely contemptuous attitude.
Ah Hu was about to lash out, but Tony held him back.
The three brothers sat down opposite each other.
"Brother Hua," Tony spoke, his voice steady yet chilling, "My men were ignorant and went to the wrong place. We apologize. Look, they've been beaten up like this; shouldn't you be over your anger by now?"
"Get over it?" Ah-Hua sneered, pointing at Ah-Gou. "He was selling drugs in my territory, which broke Hung Hing's rules. Mr. Chiang said that no drugs are allowed on Hung Hing's turf. Whoever does will die. I'm already being lenient by not throwing him into the sea to feed the fish."
"One million." Ah Wah held up one finger. "Give me the money, and take him away. Don't let me see him in Mong Kok again, and don't let me see you either."
"One million? Are you out of your mind?" Ah Hu finally snapped, slamming his fist on the table. "Ah Hua! Don't push your luck! We're all in this together, we'll run into each other again soon. If you mess with my people today, believe me, your place will be out of business tomorrow!"
"Threatening me?" Ahua's eyes narrowed. "You can try."
The atmosphere instantly became tense.
The henchmen on both sides put their hands on their waists, and the air seemed to freeze.
Just then, the fly, which had been silent all along, suddenly stood up.
Looking at the three arrogant and domineering brothers opposite him, his anger surged.
This was a security blunder on his part, allowing those Vietnamese guys to take advantage of the situation. He had to do something to salvage the situation, both to save face for his boss, Brother Hua, and to prove his own abilities.
"Try what?!" Fly, wielding a watermelon knife, swaggered between the two groups, pointing at Ah Gou on the ground and cursing, "Selling drugs on our turf, you think you can disregard us! No money, huh? If you have no money, leave something behind!"
Before he could finish speaking...
The fly swiftly brought down the knife.
"Pfft!"
"ah!!!"
A piercing scream echoed through the ice chamber.
Ah Gou only had his left hand intact; three fingers were cleanly severed, and blood gushed out instantly, splattering all over Wu Ying's face.
The entire room fell silent.
Even Ahua was stunned for a moment, not expecting that the usually carefree Fly would be so ruthless and fast.
Even the scumbag was stunned by the sudden bloodshed.
Fly's face was covered in blood, and he held a bloodstained knife in his hand, panting heavily. He felt his heart was about to jump out of his chest, but an unprecedented sense of pleasure filled his entire body.
He slowly turned around, looking at the three arrogant Tony brothers opposite him with an extremely twisted and arrogant expression.
He raised his hand, pointing the blood-stained tip of the knife at Tony.
"What are you looking at?!"
The fly tilted its head, a chilling smile spreading across its face, its once comical eyes now filled with madness.
"You bunch of Vietnamese bastards! Do you really think this is Saigon?" He walked step by step toward Tony, completely ignoring the man's murderous glare. "This is Mong Kok! My brother's territory!"
Fly walked up to Tony, their faces almost touching. He reached out and patted Tony's slightly misshapen suit collar with utter contempt.
"What's the point of wearing a suit and tie and carrying a cell phone?"
The fly's voice suddenly rose, transforming into that classic roar that would be passed down through generations: "Following those big shots, you'll eat shit!!"
At this moment, it was as if the God of Songs had possessed him.
That meme came to life in the Mong Kok cafe in 1982.
Tony was stunned.
He'd seen ruthless people and arrogant people in his life, but he'd never seen anyone so... so deserving of a beating!
An uncontrollable rage surged up to the top of his head.
"Fuck you!!"
He's not the cowardly Tony from "As Tears Go By," he's the martial arts expert from "Flash Point," a ruthless guy who can go toe-to-toe with Donnie Yen's kung fu!
Without saying a word, Tony kicked out.
This kick was as fast as lightning and as powerful as a hammer blow.
"Bang!!"
Before Fly could react, he felt as if he had been hit in the chest by a truck, and he was sent flying backward, crashing heavily onto the table behind him and smashing it to pieces.
"Flies!!" Ahua exclaimed in shock, jumping up and overturning the table. "Shoot them!!"
"kill!!"
The two sides could no longer restrain themselves and instantly clashed.
Inside the cramped ice room, swords clashed and tables and chairs flew about.
The Tony brothers are indeed formidable.
Tiger is like a wild beast, his punches are brutal; although Brother Zha is a flamboyant dancer, he's also a ruthless fighter; and Tony is even more skilled, able to take on three opponents at once without being at a disadvantage.
Just when the situation was about to get out of control and people were about to die.
"Bang!!"
The ice room's roller shutter door slammed shut again.
But this time, it was kicked open by a large foot wearing military boots, and even the door frame was deformed.
"Don't move! Police!!"
A loud shout, like the roar of a tiger.
Immediately afterwards, a burly man in a leather jacket, with a menacing look on his face, rushed in.
Ma Jun, an inspector in the Wan Chai Anti-Triad Unit, is also a notorious violent maniac within the police force.
Behind him were more than a dozen detectives from the Mong Kok Anti-Triad Unit who came to provide support.
"Everyone, cover your heads! Crouch down!!"
With his gun raised, Ma Jun's fierce and menacing aura completely intimidated the crowd.
The two sides, who were hacking at each other, stopped instantly.
Ahua stepped back and helped Wuying up, while Tony also pulled back Ah Hu, who was about to rush forward.
"Officer, it's a misunderstanding." The quickest to react was Brother Zha. He suppressed his murderous aura, straightened his disheveled suit, and gave a fake smile. "We came here for a meal. You see, we didn't want any late-night snacks, but we ended up having a little argument with these friends."
"A fight?" Ma Jun pointed to the severed finger on the ground. "You can bite off a finger with your mouth? You have pretty good teeth."
"I don't know about that," Zha Ge shrugged. "Maybe he accidentally cut himself."
"Yes, officer," Ah Hua said, having calmed down, as he helped the badly injured Fly to his feet. "We were just having a cooking competition. What, is that illegal?"
Both sides had a tacit understanding: underworld matters should be handled by the underworld, and at least on the surface, neither side could allow the cops to interfere.
"A culinary exchange?" Ma Jun sneered, walked up to Brother Zha, and poked his chest hard with his finger. "Brother Zha, don't think I don't know what you're up to. This is Hong Kong Island, not your Saigon. Behave yourself. Otherwise, I'll personally kill you all!"
"And you too." Ma Jun turned to Ahua, "Tell Jiang Tiansheng not to make a big fuss. If someone dies, I'll arrest him first."
"Fall back!"
Ma Jun knew that in this situation, without anyone calling the police or identifying anyone, they couldn't arrest anyone. His purpose in coming was simply to prevent a shootout.
Watching the police leave.
Zha Ge spat and glared fiercely at Ahua.
"Ahua, I've remembered this debt."
"I'm available anytime," Ahua replied coldly.
Tony glanced at Fly, who was being supported by Ahua, a cruel smile flashing in his eyes: "Kid, you had guts with that last sentence. Next time we meet, I'll cut your tongue out and make you really eat shit."
After saying that, the Vietnamese gang members picked up the henchman with the severed finger and strode away.
Ahua watched their departing figures and clenched his fists.
"Take Fly to the hospital!" He looked down at Fly in his arms, who was spitting blood but had a silly grin on his face.
"Boss... was I... impressive just now?" Fly asked weakly.
"Wow! That was absolutely awesome!" Ah-Wah's eyes welled up with tears. "That shout you just gave us, the whole of Mong Kok heard it!"
