Dual Transmigration: American Prison, Surviving to a Fantasy Development Stage
Chapter 306: Requesting Helicopter Support
The boss was taken aback, not expecting Lin Feng to be so arrogant.
However, her smile widened even more. "Sir, you play so well. These two pianos are truly lucky to have you in your hands."
He paused for a moment, then quoted a price, "Sir, you can pay me four hundred and seventy-five thousand US dollars."
Lin Feng shook his head. "I'll buy two at once. Let's round it down to four hundred and fifty thousand US dollars."
"No, at least $470,000 USD. I need to make a profit too."
"Okay."
"OK! Since you play the piano so well, I'm willing to give you a discount."
"If it were anyone else, they wouldn't have shortchanged a single cent."
Lin Feng listened to the boss's explanation but didn't take it seriously; businessmen's words shouldn't be taken literally.
He nodded and added, "These two pianos are so heavy, I can't easily carry them back. Boss, could you please deliver them for me?"
"Of course, no problem!" the boss assured him, patting his chest. "Where would you like to take him, sir?"
"Send it to Cowboy Town," Lin Feng said casually.
The boss's smile froze for a moment: "Oh, Cowboy Town? That's too far."
The shipping alone will cost two thousand US dollars…
Lin Feng glanced at him and said indifferently, "Not going to give it to me? Then I won't buy it."
The boss's expression changed, and he quickly waved his hand, "See you off, see you off."
Of course, sir, you're such a good negotiator.
Please fill in the address, sir.
Lin Feng took the pen and wrote down McKenna's Rattlesnake Farm in a flourish.
He handed the receipt back to the shopkeeper, took out his black card from his pocket, and placed it on the counter: "Swipe card."
The shopkeeper took the card, swiped it, and his smile was as bright as a flower.
While there are many wealthy people in Austin, only a minority are willing to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy two top-of-the-line pianos at once.
Such customers are rare and hard to come by.
When they came out of the music store, Sarah and Anna were embraced by Lin Feng.
The way the two women looked at him had completely changed.
At this moment, they believed Lin Feng's words without a doubt.
This man is like a treasure trove; you think you know him well enough, but little do you know that's just the tip of the iceberg.
You never know how big an iceberg is underwater, or how many secrets it holds that have yet to be discovered.
But the more this was the case, the stronger Lin Feng's attraction became to them, like a poison with a deadly allure.
Who wouldn't love such an elegant, powerful, wealthy, and multi-talented man whose abilities are all at the highest level?
Anna walked beside Lin Feng and couldn't help but turn her head to look at him.
After getting in the car, Lin Feng drove the Cullinan, carrying the two women, slowly through the streets of Austin.
The car window was half-open, and a cool breeze blew in, carrying the scent of the river and the sound of music drifting from afar.
"Where to next?" Lin Feng asked.
Anna: "It's still early, why don't we go to the Capitol Avenue Bridge to see the bats?"
Watch this first, then go racing.
Lin Feng looked at Anna strangely: "What's so interesting about bats?"
Anna shrugged and laughed, "That's one of Austin's unique features, too. A million bats can be quite intimidating."
Since we're already here, it wouldn't hurt to go and take a look.
Lin Feng shrugged: "Alright, alright, let's go take a look."
However, my car is too flashy, and it's difficult to park it when I drive by.
Let's park the car back at the hotel and take a taxi there.
Anyway, there are plenty of driverless taxis in Austin.
"Great idea!" Anna clapped her hands in approval.
It has to be said that Austin has more self-driving cars than New York or Washington; you can see those little white cars all over the streets, weaving through traffic.
In comparison, Austin's streets are much cleaner than New York's, there are fewer homeless people, and the whole city exudes vitality.
The three drove back to the Four Seasons Hotel and parked the Cullinan in the underground garage.
Back in the presidential suite, the three of them snuggled up on the sofa, chatting idly. Sarah went to the refrigerator and got three bottles of beer, handing one to each of them.
Lin Feng leaned back on the sofa, drinking beer and embracing the two women.
Sarah and Anna couldn't hold out any longer and started fighting with Lin Feng.
Around five o'clock in the afternoon, as it began to get dark, Anna glanced at the time.
"That's about enough! We should set off now, or we'll miss the bats emerging from their caves!"
I had just gotten up when I fell down.
"Oh shit, my legs are going weak."
"Me too, I really can't stay with this devil."
Anna took out her phone and hailed a Waymo self-driving taxi.
The three of them went downstairs and waited at the hotel entrance.
A few minutes later, a white car silently glided over and came to a steady stop in front of them.
Destination: Congressional Avenue Bridge.
The car started smoothly, merged into the traffic, and headed towards the bridge.
As night deepened, the Capitol Avenue Bridge on the shore of Mrs. Johnson Lake was shrouded in twilight.
Many tourists were sitting on the lawn under the bridge. Some were holding cameras, some were holding mobile phones, and some were using professional telephoto lenses to aim at the gaps under the bridge.
In the distance, a street performer was playing guitar, and his singing drifted away on the evening breeze.
Lin Feng put his arm around Sarah and Anna, and the three of them sat side by side on the lawn.
Sarah leaned on his shoulder, pointed in the direction of the bridge, and introduced it like a professional tour guide:
"Every evening at dusk, about 1.5 million Mexican tailless bats emerge from the cave."
This is the largest urban bat colony in North America and one of Austin's most famous attractions, drawing tens of thousands of visitors every year.
Lin Feng looked up at the bridge, then at the sky, and asked, "What time do the bats come out?"
Sarah glanced at the time on her phone, then looked up at the fading sunset on the horizon: "It's getting dark, it'll probably be dark soon."
As soon as he finished speaking, a few bats emerged from the gaps under the bridge.
They circled a few times in the twilight before quickly flying away into the distance.
The surrounding crowd immediately stirred, raising their phones and cameras, and the sound of shutters clicking incessantly.
"They're here!"
Immediately afterwards, more and more bats poured out from the gaps under the bridge.
At first there were dozens, then hundreds, thousands, and tens of thousands.
The shadowy figures gradually densed, and a few minutes later, a black torrent surged out from under the bridge.
Approximately one million bats swarmed out of their nests, darkening the sky and forming streams of black water.
The sound of wings flapping merged into a low buzzing sound.
Lin Feng looked at the dense swarm of bats and asked, "Do you think there are vampires under this bridge?"
Sarah was amused by him and patted him lightly: "Never seen it before."
"If vampires existed, Austin would have been famous long ago."
Anna looked at Lin Feng intently, her eyes filled with a hint of inquiry:
"I even suspect that you are the vampire."
Mysterious, powerful, capable of anything, and even able to cast curses.
Lin Feng smirked, leaned close to her ear, and whispered, "Really? Be careful, I'll suck your blood tonight."
Anna immediately chickened out.
He shrank his neck, raised his hands in surrender, and said, "OK, I give up, but don't actually do it."
As darkness fell, the swarm of bats disappeared into the distant horizon, and the tourists gradually dispersed.
Lin Feng stood up, stretched, and realized he hadn't raced in a long time and his hands were itching to go.
"You two wait here, I'll go get a car."
He brushed the grass clippings off his clothes and turned to walk towards the park.
"Okay!" the two women said in unison, looking expectantly at Lin Feng's back.
Lin Feng walked to the depths of the park, found a secluded corner, and after confirming that there were no surveillance cameras or pedestrians around, he had a thought, and a brand-new red Ferrari SF90 appeared out of thin air in the open space.
He opened the car door, got into the driver's seat, and started the engine.
He stepped on the gas, and the Ferrari sped out of the park like a red lightning bolt, arriving in front of the two women in the blink of an eye.
Sarah and Anna looked at the Ferrari that had suddenly appeared, exchanged a glance, and both looked incredulous.
It only took a few minutes. Where did he get it from?
Moreover, this car has no license plate.
Lin Feng stepped on the gas, and the engine roared. He shouted at the two women, "What are you standing there for?"
Aren't you getting on the bus?
Anna was the first to react, opening the passenger door and getting in.
Sarah followed closely behind, sitting sideways on Anna's lap. The two women squeezed into one seat and hugged each other.
"Fasten your seatbelts," Lin Feng reminded him.
As soon as the two women fastened their seatbelts, Lin Feng floored the accelerator, and the Ferrari shot off like an arrow.
The red car sped past under the streetlights at an extremely high speed.
Pedestrians on the roadside only had time to catch a glimpse of red before the car disappeared at the end of the street.
A motorcycle patrol officer was waiting at a red light when he suddenly heard a deafening roar.
He looked up and saw a red Ferrari whizzing past him, so fast that he couldn't even see the license plate—no, the car didn't have a license plate at all.
Speeding on a main road is suicidal.
The mounted police officer immediately grabbed his walkie-talkie and urgently reported, "Report! There's a situation! A red Ferrari, without license plates, is speeding northbound on Capitol Avenue at at least 100 miles per hour (160 kilometers per hour). It's too fast. Requesting helicopter support!"
The walkie-talkie crackled with static, followed by a reply from headquarters: "Received, immediate support."
