The association had already set up three layers of cordon around the perimeter, with superhumans in uniforms scattered at various points, their expressions tense.

Yin Tianzheng pushed open the car door and got out, the night wind blowing into the car.

A mid-level manager from the association came up to him, about to give a report, but Yin Tianzheng only said one sentence.

"Get out of the way."

The man glanced at An Changqing following behind Yin Tianzheng, then at the other young people, and stepped aside to make way.

The group crossed the cordon and entered the main hall at the bottom of the tower.

The elevator doors were already open, and the lights inside the metal car were a stark white.

Everyone squeezed in, and Yin Tianzheng pressed the button for the top floor.

As the elevator began to ascend, my eardrums felt a little swollen from the change in air pressure.

"When we arrive, listen up."

Yin Tian was facing away from everyone, with his back to the elevator door.

"I'll talk to Guan Jinyue about the sealing. Let's proceed as planned."

"But what if anything unexpected happens?"

The old man paused for a moment.

"Take Ah Chen and run, don't look back."

The elevator slowed down, and the numbers jumped to the top floor.

The door opened.

The wind, carrying ice shards, rushed in from high altitude, and everyone's eyes were drawn to the platform at the same time.

There were no signs of fighting, no tense standoff.

On one side of the platform, Yin Chen sat on the ground leaning against the Frostbone Wolf. The giant wolf's body blocked most of the wind from entering, and his expression did not resemble that of a hostage.

On the other side, Guan Jinyue stood at the very edge of the platform, her silver hair rising and falling in the wind.

Yin Chen saw Yin Tianzheng first.

His lips were pressed into a thin line, his brows were furrowed, his eyes were red but not wet, and the corners of his mouth were slightly pressed down.

Guan Jinyue's gaze passed over An Changqing, over Long Ao and Hong Yuan, over Su Yuehe and Chen Guan, and landed directly on Yin Tianzheng, who was walking out of the elevator at the very back.

The wind whistled between the two of them.

She spoke, and her voice was carried by the wind to everyone's ears, clear and without a trace of impurity.

"You've arrived."

Yin Tianzheng stood at the elevator entrance, looking at the silver-haired young woman, his lips moving slightly.

"I am coming."

The moment Yin Tianzheng stepped out of the elevator, his gaze first fell on Yin Chen.

The old man paused for a moment, his lips pressed tightly together.

Yin Chen was not injured, and his mental state was even better than he had imagined. He sat on the ground leaning against the giant ice-blue wolf, his collar billowing in the wind, but he was completely unharmed.

Long Ao was the first to rush over, and Guan Jinyue did not stop him, letting him squat down and look Yin Chen up and down.

Are you alright?

"fine."

Yin Chen patted Long Ao's outstretched hand and stood up from beside the Frostbone Wolf.

Hong Yuan followed closely behind, her battle axe planted on the ground, her eyes scanning back and forth between Yin Chen and Guan Jinyue.

"She didn't do anything to you?"

"no."

Yin Chen shook his head, his tone calm, so calm that he didn't seem like someone who had just been kidnapped.

"She released my meridians, and we chatted for a while."

Long Ao's expression froze.

Hongyuan opened her mouth, then closed it again.

We chatted for a while?

Wait, aren't you two kidnappers and hostages? Why are you wrapped up like dumplings?

Yin Chen noticed their confusion and, before they could ask further, explained the situation clearly.

"She didn't force me to stay; it was my own decision."

Yin Chen's gaze swept over everyone present, finally settling on Yin Tianzheng.

"I made a deal with her. She closed most of the cracks in the city and stopped harming civilians. I will stay here and wait for Grandpa to come."

Long Ao was stunned for several seconds.

"You're going to negotiate with her? You, a hostage, are negotiating with the kidnappers?"

"I am not a hostage."

Yin Chen corrected him, looking very serious.

"My grandfather did something to wrong her. I am a member of the Yin family, so I stayed behind to wait for him to give me an explanation."

Hong Yuan lowered her head, asking suspiciously, "You believe her?"

Yin Chen smiled and said, "The sins my grandfather committed are passed down to his sons."

These words made Yin Tianzheng stiffen.

This is to call on him.

An Changqing stepped forward and stood between Yin Chen and Guan Jinyue, his right hand still resting on the hilt of his sword, but he did not draw it.

He didn't look at Yin Chen, but instead focused his gaze on Guan Jinyue at the edge of the platform.

"Guan Jinyue, Chen Guan has a plan to rescue your sister's soul without destroying Shanghai."

Guan Jinyue turned around.

Her silver hair scattered and then gathered in the wind, and her gaze shifted from An Changqing to the coffin at the very back.

Are you... going to give me a surprise?

An Changqing briefly explained Chen Guan's plan, while Guan Jinyue remained expressionless, revealing neither joy nor anger.

Finally, An Changqing added, "And what's your attitude?"

"Can."

Guan Jinyue raised his hand and pointed in the direction of Chen's coffin.

"He used the fragments of divine essence to attract the attention of the remaining body, creating a window of opportunity. Yin Tianzheng was able to extract my sister's soul within five seconds."

She paused for a moment.

"But if I fail, or if any of you try anything funny, I will make everyone on this tower disappear physically."

Yin Chen opened his mouth as if to say something, but An Changqing stopped him with a look.

There won't be any surprises.

An Changqing's tone was steady.

"After your sister comes out, all the spatial rifts must be closed. Take her away, and that's the end of tonight."

Guan Jinyue looked at him and nodded, saying, "Okay."

As for the Bear King, why should she care? Her sister's body was protected by Baal. Even if she betrayed him, who would dare to covet the ice coffin?

Although the fragments of Baal are scattered all over the world, once combined into a single Great Baal, who can rival him?

It's nothing more than leaving the North and wandering the world.

It doesn't matter anymore, she hasn't had a home for a long time.

Yin Tianzheng then walked over from the elevator entrance. The old man's steps grew heavier with each step, and he stopped when he reached the center of the platform.

He looked down at the metal plate beneath his feet, reached out and pressed his hand on it. After sensing it briefly, he said, "The core of the seal is three hundred meters directly below."

"The earth vein connection point runs through the entire structural component of the tower, extending from the base all the way to where I am standing."

He released his grip and straightened up.

"I will guide the power of the earth's veins here to temporarily tear open a gap in the seal, allowing the power of the remnant body to rush up through this gap."

"Its power will be transmitted along the earth's veins to the top of the tower. I can control the flow and also seal the opening in time if the situation gets out of control."

He pointed to the broken metal plate at his feet with two fingers.

"But the trade-off is that this power doesn't diminish once it reaches the top of the tower."

An Changqing added a sentence.

"Therefore, what Chen Guan has to face is the full-force spiritual erosion released by the remnant body of a demon god."

Yin Tianzheng did not deny it.

Chen Guan walked out from the back of the group and patted Yin Chen on the shoulder as he passed by.

Yin Chen grabbed his wrist.

"Chen Guan"
