I, the warden of Delta, am a science popularizer and advocate for nuclear peace and friendliness.

Three days passed, and during those three days, there was a gradual silence from GTI headquarters. Because the branch controlled by Houston was in a special period and could not be entered or exited at will, no other forces came to disturb it.

As for headquarters, they have probably given up. Shiyu intentionally controlled the research institute's communication with the outside world, instructing them to focus on scientific research and not to pay attention to other things.

When Smith and his two companions attacked Shigure, it was nighttime, and the battle was so quick and brief that no one noticed.

So the research institute was unaware of what was happening outside and thought everything was fine.

Inside the command center office, Shi Yu leaned back on the soft sofa, watching the television hanging on the wall with great interest. It was showing a 2D animation from a well-known animation company.

During these three days, Shi Yu would sometimes go to check on the research institute, and when she had free time, she would relax in the office.

Since there was really nothing else to do, Song Lanfeng and the others were training intensively in the prison. Three consecutive days of high-intensity training had brought him and Jie Rui to the edge of the mid-stage of the standard level.

At this time, most of the players were still new recruits. The worst off were the players who were respawned and assigned to Asara. Now they could only use the Bison SMG, and even if they had HAF coins, they could only buy a PKM at most.

It's not that they don't have money, it's that they simply don't have a source of goods!

Since Saeed and Hafk entered into a cold war, the arms supply has been severely cut. Before, they might have been able to get level 4 equipment wholesale, but now they can only get level 3 or slightly better at best.

Shi Yu bent down, picked up the remote control from the coffee table, and pressed the button to pause the playback.

"Hmm... By the way, why hasn't Hafk arrived yet? It's been three days."

Since Shigure started traveling alone more often, he has developed a habit of talking to himself. He likes to talk to himself when he has nothing to do, like right now.

"Let's go check on the situation at the research institute."

The GTI branch doesn't have any other entertainment facilities; it's simply divided into three main areas: living area, combat readiness area, and research area.

Shi Yu had been to the combat readiness area once, and in the past few days he had a pretty good grasp of the situation there.

The combat readiness area is mainly used for storing firearms and combat equipment, and also serves functions such as soldier training and combat readiness mobilization.

He retrieved 300 rounds of level 5 12.7×55mm ammunition from the combat readiness zone to fill the previous gap.

It's not that we didn't want to take more, but the division only had this many level 5 12.7×55mm bullets in reserve.

He did have some other types of bullets, but they were of little use to him at the moment, and they would take up too much space, so he simply left them aside.

A moment later, Shi Yu drove from the command center to the underground parking garage of the research institute.

The vehicle was provided by a kind-hearted person named Houston; it is a military off-road vehicle.

This was his first time driving an off-road vehicle. It was a little different from driving a normal sedan, but he didn't know exactly how.

She got out of the car, swiped her card, and the parking fee started timing. Shi Yu glanced at the numbers jumping on the meter.

10…20……30……100 Haf Coins

In just 10 seconds, the parking fee jumped to 100 Haff coins.

"6"

What else could he say? Shi Yu was speechless. If he weren't a player with 30 billion in assets, he would have rushed to complete the task and move the car out as quickly as possible.

10 Haff coins per second, that's over 800,000 Haff coins a day, which is a terrifying number for someone who used to run around in Delta Force every day.

May there be no GTI in heaven.

This was truly an eye-opener for him. He didn't know if it was the same in other places, but the prices in GTI seemed a bit inflated to him.

Shi Yu quickly put these thoughts out of her mind and strolled to the front of the research institute. The automatic door opened, but the female receptionist wasn't there this time; another receptionist had taken her place, probably on vacation.

Ignoring the receptionist's greeting, Shi Yu went up the stairs to the second floor and found the laboratory where Shi Yue was.

Shi Yu stood outside the glass wall, watching the research process inside.

They are simulating a radiation environment and adjusting the parameters of the radiation equipment to see if it can effectively resist radiation and prevent users from being affected.

Current radiation protection equipment can already resist radiation to a certain extent. He had inquired about the details with Shi Yue and heard that it could achieve a resistance level of about 60%. For ordinary people, wearing such equipment would mean certain death.

A radiation dissipation of up to 40% is already deadly enough. Shi Yue and other researchers estimate that at least 90% radiation resistance is needed to meet the expected standard.

Shi Yu wasn't so arrogant as to think he could withstand 40% radiation and had the idea of entering the range of the colossal diamond ahead of time to directly seize the Heart of Africa. The harm of radiation is genetic, which has nothing to do with his physical fitness.

In other words, he will have to wait a while longer, and the exact time will depend on how well Shi Yue and his team can help.

"Could we involve the PhD and Chen Ze...?"

Shi Yu stroked his chin. In his opinion, Shi Yue's abilities were definitely inferior to the former two. He was very clear about the doctor's achievements. In his world, he would have won several Nobel Prizes, and he had patents left and right.

He was a man of action; he did what he thought of, and immediately turned and drove back to his office.

Pushing open the office door, Shi Yu closed it behind her and locked it. Then, sitting in her office chair, she revealed her wristwatch from under her sleeve and began typing.

[Li Junjie: Xiao Song, send a message to the professor and ask if he's interested in researching this colossal diamond.]

Song Lanfeng didn't reply immediately, so he's probably training.

About three minutes later...

[Song Lanfeng: Where is the lab of the PhD student at Dian University?]

"Hmm?" Shigure scratched his head in confusion and asked.

[Li Junjie: Didn't the law enforcement officer tell you?]

[Song Lanfeng: Um… there was a bit of trouble at the prison today, he went to handle it and hasn't returned yet, so I don't want to bother him.]

Upon seeing this, Shi Yu immediately understood the reason. However, he was not worried about the situation in the prison. After all, the law enforcement officers were elite-level peak officers. If he couldn't even handle those unarmed prisoners, then he would have wasted his time as a prison law enforcement officer.

[Li Junjie: Go to the fourth basement level. The only room with lights on is the doctor's lab.]
