Chen Feng picked up his phone, his voice calm and unwavering: "Dazhuang, call Ergou and bring a team of quick-witted and skilled brothers with you. We're going to take care of something."

At one o'clock in the morning, in front of an old residential building on the edge of the old city, Ma San stood in the shadows with his neck hunched over. When he saw Chen Feng and his group coming, he immediately went to greet them.

"Brother Feng, this way." Ma San pointed to an inconspicuous basement entrance on the side of the residential building. This place used to be an old civil defense project. The entrance was surrounded by a low wall covered with withered vines, and it looked like an abandoned corner. If Ma San hadn't led the way, even if someone passed by, they would never have given it a second glance.

"Is this the place?" Da Zhuang frowned, reached out and pushed the bicycle blocking the entrance, the chain making a screeching sound.

"No mistake," Ma San nodded, a hint of apprehension in his eyes. "This is Brother Biao's most core territory, with much tighter security than the one in the southern suburbs. There's a first guard post at the entrance, and hidden sentries below. The turnover in one night is equivalent to half a month's worth at other territories. Most of the elites are stationed here."

Chen Feng's gaze swept over the heavy iron door. The surface of the door was mottled and had several thick steel bars welded to it, making it clear that it could not be opened by an ordinary lock.

"Dazhuang, Ergou, and Masan, come in with me. The rest of you stay outside and provide backup if anything happens!" After giving the instructions, he gestured to Masan with his chin and said, "Knock on the door."

Ma San stepped forward and knocked on the iron gate: "Dong, dong dong, dong." The three long and two short coded messages were particularly clear in the quiet night.

A moment later, the small window on the iron gate was pulled open with a "whoosh," revealing a pair of wary eyes with bloodshot veins.

The man stared intently at Ma San for a few seconds, then glanced at Chen Feng and his group. His gaze lingered on Da Zhuang and Chen Fang's tense figures for a long time before he asked in an unfriendly tone, "Ma San, who are these people? I've never seen them before."

"It's Feng's men," Ma San quickly said. "Sister Zhen has already spoken to them, so please open the door."

The person behind the small window hesitated, then peeked out again, seemingly to check if there was any other movement.

"Wait," came the sound of the lock turning behind the door. After a few clicks, the heavy iron door was opened a crack, wide enough for one person to pass through.

The person who opened the door stood to the side with their arms crossed, their eyes still fixed on them warily.

Chen Feng stepped inside first, and as soon as he crossed the threshold, he smelled a mixture of musty and tobacco odors. After walking down the steep cement stairs for a few steps, four burly men in black overalls suddenly stood up on the platform halfway down the stairs, each carrying a steel pipe, blocking his way.

"Halt!" the burly leader shouted in a deep voice, tapping the steel pipe in his palm with a dull thud. "Who told you to come down? Did you get Gang's orders?"

Ma San's expression changed, and he leaned close to Chen Feng's ear and whispered, "This is the second guard post, and they're all Gangzi's cronies. They're ruthless."

Chen Feng didn't stop, taking two more steps forward and looking down at the group: "You're looking for Ah Zhen? Get out of my way!"

"You think you can just see Sister Zhen whenever you want? Nobody can come in without Brother Gang's orders." The burly man grinned, revealing two rows of yellow teeth. "If you want to get here, you'll have to ask the guys in our hands if they'll allow it!" As soon as he finished speaking, he swung a steel pipe and smashed it down on Chen Feng's shoulder.

"You're asking for it!" Da Zhuang roared, rushing forward and raising his arm to block the steel pipe. With a crisp "clang," Da Zhuang groaned, clearly in pain, but he didn't back down. Instead, he punched the burly man in the chest.

The burly man was knocked back two steps, clutching his chest and wincing. Seeing this, his three henchmen immediately surrounded him with steel pipes, attacking Chen Feng, Chen Fang, and the others.

Chen Fang reacted extremely quickly, dodging a sweeping steel pipe by sidestepping it. At the same time, he grabbed the man's wrist and twisted it hard. With a "crack," the henchman let out a scream, and the steel pipe crashed to the ground.

On the other side, Dazhuang was fighting two opponents at once. The sound of fists colliding with steel pipes rang out continuously. He had already taken two blows, but he still held on tightly, not letting his opponents take a single step forward.

Chen Feng didn't make a move; he just stood there. In less than three minutes, all four burly men who had blocked his way were knocked to the ground, some clutching their arms, others holding their stomachs, groaning and unable to get up.

Chen Feng didn't even glance at them, and continued walking down the stairs: "Let's go."

As you descend the concrete stairs, a strong smell of tobacco gradually fills the air. Pushing open the last wooden door wrapped in soundproofing, a tremendous wave of sound instantly floods your ears.

There were no crystal chandeliers or carpets; only dozens of high-powered fluorescent lights illuminated the roughly 200-square-meter hall. The floor was covered with ordinary terrazzo, but it was very clean.

The hall was filled with twelve gambling tables, offering everything from baccarat and dominoes to dice games. Dozens of people crowded around, some shouting as they placed their bets, some pounding their fists in frustration, and others excitedly counting their winnings. Smoke swirled in the air as waiters moved about, carrying tea and cigarettes.

This is a pure, fanatical gambling den. There are no fancy decorations here, only naked greed for money.

Meanwhile, on the second floor at the end of the hall.

In an unassuming office, Ah Zhen was reclining on a leather sofa, her gaze sweeping over everything below through the one-way glass window.

Tonight, she changed into a black, fitted suit dress, which made her look less alluring and more capable. But her captivating eyes were still shimmering, and a faint smile played at the corners of her lips.

"Sister Zhen, Chen Feng is in," the female assistant whispered. "Gangzi has already led his men to surround him."

Ah Zhen gently swirled her wine glass, leaving vibrant streaks of red wine on the glass. Her voice was languid and nonchalant: "Let them fight."

"But Sister Zhen, Gangzi has more than a dozen people, while Chen Feng only brought a few..."

"You don't understand," Ah Zhen interrupted her, her gaze still fixed on the downstairs. "That mad dog Gangzi, after all this time, he's become completely unruly. When Zhao Biao was around, he was somewhat more restrained. But as soon as Zhao Biao fell, he started targeting me. Last month, he actually dared to embezzle 30,000 yuan of my earnings. Did he think I didn't know?"

She sneered, her red lips slightly parted: "This kind of dog will bite its master sooner or later. Rather than me doing it myself and giving people something to talk about, I'd rather use Chen Feng as a knife to cripple him."

"If Chen Feng can't even handle Gangzi, then he's not worthy of cooperating with me."

Downstairs, the conflict officially broke out.

"Stop the fucking right there!"

A rough, loud shout suddenly rang out, drowning out the noise in the hall. In the rest area next to the gambling tables, a dozen burly men wearing tight black vests suddenly stood up. Each of them was muscular, with tattoos on their arms, and they were either carrying steel pipes or holding switchblades.

"Brother Gang!" Ma San subconsciously shrank back, his voice trembling slightly. "That's Gangzi, Brother Biao's most trusted subordinate. He's been with Brother Biao for five years and has blood on his hands. He wasn't there when he went back to his hometown in the southern suburbs, otherwise the place in the southern suburbs wouldn't have been taken over so easily."

Gangzi pushed aside his underlings and strode up to Chen Feng. He was more than half a head taller than Chen Feng and deliberately leaned forward, exuding a strong sense of pressure.

"So you're Chen Feng?" He scoffed. "That woman Ah Zhen said you were coming to take over? I think you're tired of living. Zhao Biao's downfall was his own stupidity. Don't really think that crippling Zhao Biao will give you the right to run rampant in Nancheng."
