It's so regular, it's like it's deliberately being shown to people.

"You think there's a problem?" The skinny man noticed his hesitation.

"Not sure." Ghostly Shadow lowered his binoculars, his voice hoarse. "The fact that he survived the attacks of six of us last time, and even crippled two of us, means this kid is no ordinary person. Someone like that wouldn't be stupid enough to walk the same path every day, waiting to be ambushed."

"Then... shall we observe for a few more days?"

The "ghost" was silent for a moment, then nodded: "No rush, let's observe further."

......

In the alley, Chen Feng walked nonchalantly through the darkest section of the road.

His peripheral vision kept scanning his surroundings, and his ears were perked up like a wolf's.

But... nothing happened.

There was no sudden appearance of a dark shadow, no gleaming blade, not even the slightest unusual movement.

As Chen Feng walked out of the alley, the corner of his mouth twitched slightly.

These people are more cautious than you might imagine.

......

The clinic of Ghost Hand Zhang was dimly lit.

Chen Feng sat in a chair as Ghost Hand Zhang changed his dressing. The moment the gauze was removed, it aggravated his wound, and he gasped.

"Kid, what are you up to?" Ghost Hand Zhang asked without looking up.

"What do you mean?"

"Don't play dumb." Ghost Hand Zhang paused, lowering his voice, "These past few days, you seemed to have come here alone, but there were quite a few people lying in ambush outside, weren't there?"

Chen Feng's eyes sharpened: "How did you find out?"

"I've been in this business for so many years, what kind of people haven't I seen? Do you think I wouldn't notice something like this?"

Chen Feng fell silent.

A true expert's skill is immediately apparent! He thought his plan was flawless, but to these professional assassins, it was riddled with holes.

"Uncle Zhang, thank you for your help," Chen Feng said in a low voice.

"I'm not afraid of trouble." Ghost Hand Zhang finished wrapping the gauze, straightened up, and stared into Chen Feng's eyes. "I just want to remind you—these guys are tough to deal with. If you want to fish, don't make your bait too fake."

Chen Feng was taken aback: "Too fake?"

"You come at eight o'clock sharp every day, taking the same route, and only bringing one or two people." Ghost Hand Zhang tapped the table. "Too routine!"

Chen Feng's expression changed slightly.

He definitely underestimated these assassins.

"Then, Uncle Zhang, what should I do?"

Ghost Hand Zhang lit a cigarette, exhaled a plume of smoke, and his eyes revealed a worldly-wise shrewdness.

"The best way to convince a fox that a trap is safe is to let it see other rabbits eat the bait without incident."

Chen Feng nodded thoughtfully.

......

On the way back, Chen Feng's mind was racing.

Ghost Hand Zhang is right.

His behavior these past few days has been too deliberate, so deliberate it's like he's shouting, "Come kill me!" Those professional assassins aren't stupid; they couldn't possibly not see through it.

To lower their guard, you have to give them a “reasonable” explanation—why does he dare to walk around so brazenly?

Back in the office at the battlefield, Chen Feng immediately called Monkey and Er Gou over to him.

"Let's change the plan."

"How will it change?" the monkey asked, perking up its ears.

"Starting tomorrow, we'll change the time of day to change the dressing. Sometimes in the afternoon, sometimes in the evening, and occasionally we can skip it altogether." Chen Feng squinted. "Also, the person who brings the dressing needs to be changed; we can't always have the same face."

"Wouldn't that make it even harder for them to judge?" Er Gou asked, somewhat puzzled.

"That's the normal reaction," Chen Feng sneered. "A person who's been chased can't be completely unprepared. I deliberately acted 'slightly wary,' but not to the point of being paranoid—that way they'd believe I just felt the danger had passed and was slowly relaxing."

The monkey suddenly realized, "Brother Feng, you're... feeding the bait for a few days before fishing?"

"More or less." Chen Feng stood up, walked to the window, and looked at the night outside. "Be patient. Since these people dare to kill for money, they won't give up easily. What we need to do is make them believe—the opportunity has arrived."

......

Over the next five days, Chen Feng began a psychological battle that was fought without the smoke of gunpowder.

He deliberately made his movements "irregular"—sometimes he would go to change his dressings at four in the afternoon, and sometimes he wouldn't leave until nine-thirty at night. He also changed the people he brought with him; sometimes it was Monkey, sometimes a new-faced henchman, and occasionally he would actually go alone.

But one thing never changed—he always took that alley.

This was the "flaw" he deliberately left for the other party.

Meanwhile, the "Ghost Hand Society," which was secretly keeping watch, was also gathering intelligence day by day.

......

On the fifth night, in the residential building.

"Ghost Shadow" stared at the record in his hand, his brows gradually relaxing.

"You see, he was definitely more vigilant the first couple of days—the timing changed, the person changed. But starting from the third day, he started to relax again." The skinny man pointed to the times on the record. "Yesterday he went in the afternoon, and today he went back to the evening. And you see, he kept taking the same alley, which shows he didn't take us seriously at all."

"Ghost Shadow" pondered for a moment: "He probably thinks we learned our lesson last time and won't dare to come again."

"Yeah! Young people, they get all cocky after winning a battle." The skinny man's tone was tinged with contempt. "And look at him today, he only brought one lackey, a skinny monkey-like guy who looks like he can't take a fight."

The "ghost" did not respond immediately, but stood up, walked to the window, and looked at the dark alley in the night.

His intuition still told him that something was amiss.

......

Nine o'clock on the sixth night.

Inside the clinic, Chen Feng changed his dressing and put his slightly bulky black jacket back on.

"Brother Feng, are these bastards some kind of turtles? How can they be so tolerant?" Monkey slipped in through the back door, looking annoyed. "The brothers have been feeding mosquitoes in the woodshed for days, and haven't seen a single one."

Chen Feng buttoned his shirt, his eyes calm: "If they were that easy to fool, they wouldn't need to act. These guys are very professional; they must have found your hiding place."

"They found out? Then all our acting was for nothing!" the monkey exclaimed in surprise.

"Since they think this is a trap and dare not jump in, then we'll 'remove' the trap for them to see." Chen Feng's lips curled into a crazy smile.

"Brother Feng, what do you mean?"

Chen Feng didn't explain, but grabbed a bottle of medical alcohol from the table, gulped it down, and then splashed some on himself.

"Cough cough cough..." The pungent alcohol made his eyes water, but the fierceness in his eyes grew stronger.

Five minutes later, a heated argument suddenly broke out at the clinic entrance.

"Get the fuck out! All of you, get the fuck out!"

Reeking of alcohol, Chen Feng staggered open the clinic door and pointed at Monkey and his few undercover protectors, yelling, "What the hell are you guys doing? You can't even keep watch! Ah Zhen called earlier saying there was trouble at the casino and none of you went to do anything about it! Get back here!"

"Brother Feng, you've had too much to drink. It's not safe for you to go back now..." Monkey said anxiously as he went to help him up.

"Get out of my way!" Chen Feng slapped the monkey away. "I'm tough! Six guys couldn't kill me last time, what am I afraid of now! You all go help out at the casino, don't get in my way!"

"But……"

"This is an order! If you don't want to do it, get the hell out of here!" Chen Feng roared, picking up a stone from the ground and throwing it at the monkey.

Helpless, Monkey could only lead Er Gou and the others who were lying in ambush in the shadows onto the van, cursing and swearing, and drive away from the old street.
