Everyone's playing as a roguelike, starting with an extra Mythical Relic.

In addition to giving Chu Yang 100 coins and a small amount of experience points, the death of the Crimson Bat also dropped a green treasure chest, just as he expected.

Chu Yang immediately opened the treasure chest and put the items inside into his system inventory.

Because he heard footsteps approaching from behind.

He estimated that the people who came were Zhao Baining and Zhou Yuan.

It wasn't that Chu Yang didn't trust these two people, but rather that he believed human nature couldn't withstand the test.

He had been cooperating with the two men fairly well for the time being, and therefore did not want to cause any unnecessary trouble.

"Chu Yang, we're here!"

As Zhou Yuan's voice rang out, a white figure rushed over, leaped high, and pounced on a bat-man from the air—it was his pet white wolf.

The other bat-man, already terrified by the death of the elite bat-man, had no will to fight and hurriedly flapped its wings to flee the battlefield.

Inside this cave, if the bat-man decides to escape, the three of them will have no chance of catching him.

As for the bat-man who was pounced on by the white wolf, Zhao Baining finished him off with fire magic.

After killing the bat-man, Zhao Baining asked Chu Yang, "Are you alright?"

"It's alright, come with me, there are several little girls locked up over there." Chu Yang said, and following Xiao Cao's directions, he arrived at the cell outside where the little girls were being held.

"Move a little further in!" Chu Yang said to the little girls in the cell, then smashed the iron lock with his shield.

After several impacts, the iron lock came loose, but the little girls inside remained huddled in the corner, too afraid to come out.

At this moment, a little girl came out first and said to the other little girls inside, "It's okay, come out, they've come to rescue us."

Chu Yang recognized the little girl as Xiao Cao from her voice.

He immediately took off his short-sleeved shirt and put it on Xiaocao.

The little girls who were used as blood bags were all naked. Fortunately, the cave was dark enough that Chu Yang and Zhou Yuan were not too embarrassed.

The little girl in the cell saw that Chu Yang and the others did not beat or scold Xiaocao, and even dressed Xiaocao, which gave her the courage to walk out one by one.

Zhou Yuan and Zhao Baining also took off their shirts and gave them to the little girls behind them. As for the girls who didn't get any clothes, there was nothing they could do.

Finally, Zhao Baining, who was only wearing a dark-colored undershirt, said to the two of them, "What do we do now? Should we take these children and go find an exit?"

Chu Yang didn't answer, but instead asked the little grass standing beside him, "Do you know the way out of here?"

Little Grass nodded and said, "Yes, Little Grass knows! When I was taken out to... to have my blood sucked by those monsters, I sensed the location of the exit!"

"Blood-sucking?" Zhao Baining asked in confusion.

Chu Yang said, "I'll tell you about this later. The bat-man that escaped earlier may have already called for reinforcements, so we must leave immediately."

"Little Grass, show me the way, I'll take you away from here first."

"Um!"

Chu Yang and Bai Lang led the way, while Zhou Yuan and Zhao Bai Ning brought up the rear, leading eight little girls in the middle, all heading towards the cave exit.

Walking inside the cave, Chu Yang took some time to examine the items he had just obtained from the treasure chest.

There are two items in total:

One gold coin 100

Second skill book [Swarm of Bats - Green] - Transforms into a swarm of bats to dodge attacks, grants a follow-up attack effect to the next basic attack, increases damage by 50%, cooldown 20s.

The moment Chu Yang saw the skill book, the image of the elite bat-man dodging his attack and then swooping down on him flashed through his mind.

[Hmm...not bad skill. The dodge and damage increase aren't that great, the important thing is that it adds two dashes...]

The previous battles with those bat-men made Chu Yang realize another weakness of his besides insufficient damage: his short legs.

The Shield Guard's movement speed is already low, and the [Shield Charge] skill is too clumsy for chasing. To catch up with others, you often need to use [Dodge] as a means of movement.

But one [Dodge] skill alone is clearly not enough.

In the previous battle with the elite bat-men, if Chu Yang hadn't exhausted the opponent's strength at the beginning, he would have been helpless if the opponent had tried to escape later.

But things got much better after acquiring the [Swarm of Bats Illusion].

The first part of this skill has a displacement effect when dodging, and the second part, the pursuit effect, also counts as displacement.

Equipping this skill can greatly enhance Chu Yang's pursuit ability.

In addition to basic skills, only four skills can be equipped in the gate domain.

Therefore, Chu Yang replaced [Shield Bash] with [Swarm of Bats Illusion].

The rune [Reflective Prism] was also removed and placed in the rune slot for [Shield Strike].

Afterwards, the process of escorting these little girls away went much more smoothly than Chu Yang and his companions had imagined.

All of this was thanks to the little grass; the range she could perceive was even wider than Chu Yang had originally estimated.

"Brother, go left, there's a monster on the right..."

"Brother, turn right ahead. Let's hide first and wait for the monster to leave before we go..."

"Brother, we need to hurry here..."

In short, with the help of Xiaocao's perception, everyone arrived near the exit without any major incidents.

The two bat-men guarding the exit were not elite monsters, and they were quickly surrounded and killed by Chu Yang and his companions before they could cause much trouble.

During the battle, Chu Yang also tried out the [Swarm of Bats Illusion] technique, and it worked very well.

"Little Grass! Are you alright?!"

The exit of the Blood Bat Cave was much brighter than the inside, which is why Chu Yang saw two streams of blood flowing from Xiao Cao's nose!

"It's...it's alright, Xiaocao is fine." Xiaocao wiped the blood from her nose and smiled at Chu Yang.

Chu Yang looked at the thin, frail yet incredibly strong little girl in front of him, and at the several teeth marks on her neck that were clearly caused by those monsters, and felt a pang of heartache.

This little girl is only twelve or thirteen years old... Why does she have to suffer like this...?

He asked Xiaomen, "Xiaomen, is the world inside the gate realm also real? Are these little girls real people?"

Unfortunately, Xiaomen still gave his usual answer: "No comment."

Chu Yang squatted down and gently wiped away the blood that Xiao Cao hadn't completely dried from her nose, then said, "Xiao Cao, my brothers and sisters and I can't leave with you."

"Will you be able to take care of yourselves after you leave?"

Little Grass, holding the hand of another little girl beside her, smiled and said, "Don't worry, brother! We can do it. Little Grass will bring everyone back to the village safely."

Chu Yang patted Xiao Cao's head and smiled, "Yes, Xiao Cao is great!"

Little Grass suddenly asked, "Brother, are you going to rescue other people?"

Chu Yang nodded, then looked back at Zhao Baining and Zhou Yuan. He himself was definitely not in a hurry to leave, and wondered what choice the two of them would make.

Before he could ask, Zhao Baining spoke gently to Xiaocao, "That's right, I will rescue everyone else from your village as well."

Zhou Yuan waved and laughed, "Me too!"

Little Grass looked at the three of them and said, "Thank you, brothers and sisters. I can help you one more time."

After Xiaocao finished speaking, she stretched out her hands and began to form hand seals. Just as Chu Yang and the other two were wondering about this, they suddenly received notification sounds.

The fog of war on the Blood Bat Cave map has been completely cleared.

The maps within the gate domain are initially covered by fog; only areas that the player has personally passed through and seen will be revealed.

At this moment, the maps representing the [Blood Bat Cave] in their systems were fully displayed.

Even the locations of the other three blood chambers where humans were imprisoned were marked on the map.

This was the last bit of help the grass gave them.

Before parting, Xiaocao asked Chuyang again, "Brother, can you tell Xiaocao your name?"

"My name is Chu Yang, Chu as in clear and Yang as in the sun."

"Brother Chuyang, you gave Xiaocao a dress, so Xiaocao will give you a gift in return..."
