Gu Changfeng understood Ya Ya's words. He glanced down at his military boots, stained with mud and blood, and rubbed his stubble-covered face vigorously with his large hands. He forcefully suppressed the frenzied rage that threatened to tear someone to pieces.

"Fine, I'll play along with him today." Gu Changfeng turned around, strode to the cot, and pointed to the bulging bag in Xiao Li's arms. "Xiao Li, take that out."

Xiao Li understood his current predicament. Enduring the pain of his severed arm, he clumsily unbuttoned his shirt with his left hand, pulled out the sweat-smelling waterproof leather oil paper package, and handed it over with both hands.

Gu Changfeng took the oil paper package. It wasn't heavy, but it was crucial to the survival of several divisions on the southwestern border.

He unbuttoned the innermost layer of his military uniform, stuffed the oil paper package into it close to his skin, zipped it up, and then wrapped it with two more layers of tattered cloth. From the outside, it was impossible to tell that he was hiding something in his chest.

After hiding the items, the next step is to make the bait.

"We need to find a double." Gu Changfeng looked around the tent. Inside, besides two boxes of empty mortar shells used to weigh down the tent legs, there were only a few broken cots. Where could he find an identical package?

"Dad, use this." Ya Ya reached into the large pocket of the military green tactical vest with her two little hands and pulled out two large wads of crumpled waste newspaper, plus two heavy round stones.

These were all junk items she had just pulled out from a corner of the spatial storage under the cover of her disguise.

Gu Changfeng didn't ask his daughter how she could still have stones in her pocket. He quickly grabbed a piece of old oil paper that he usually used to wrap tourniquets, flattened the old newspaper, and stuffed the stones in the middle. His two large hands flew up and down, folding a few corners, and then he found a hemp rope of the same material as before and tied two tight knots around it.

In just three minutes, a fake package that was exactly the same size, shape and even weight as the real negative was formed on the table.

"Where should I put this? Should I keep holding it in my arms and pretend to be asleep?" Xiao Li gestured with his unbroken hand.

"No way." Ya Ya immediately shook her head. "Old Man Shen is too ruthless. What if you pretend to be asleep and he comes in to snatch your bag and slits your throat with a knife? We're here to catch a thief, not to deliver our heads to him."

Gu Changfeng nodded in agreement with his daughter. He slapped the ammunition box in the middle of the tent, which was being used as a table:

"If we're going to use the empty city tactic, let's go all the way. Just throw the stuff on this box. We'll surround it with a few broken teacups. Who has time to hide things properly when they're running for their lives?"

After saying that, he threw the fake package right in the middle of the ammunition box, with several enamel cups and an empty box of matches scattered around it. It was visible from the tent entrance.

The trap is dug; the next step is to figure out how to get everyone out of the tent so that the old fox will dare to sneak in.

Gu Changfeng bent down and tapped Ya Ya's little nose: "Girl, your tiger and black bear are too conspicuous. With those two guarding here, even if Shen Jinghong had ten times the courage, he wouldn't dare to go in."

Ya Ya chuckled, stroking her chin with her chubby little hand: "That's easy. I'll ride Big Flower with you. You lead the way and cause a huge ruckus. Big Flower is big, and once it leaves, the people outside will definitely think we've let our guard down."

As she spoke, she strode over to the cot. Big Black was lying on the floor, its big butt sticking up, gnawing on a bloody foreign bone.

"Big Black." Ya Ya patted Big Black's fluffy ears. Big Black shook its big head and nuzzled against her pant leg.

Ya Ya pointed to the cot at the very back, under which lay a tattered, army-green quilt. "Get in there. Turn off the lights, and nobody can see you in your dark skin. Whoever comes in, if their hand touches the paper package on the table, slap them hard across the face. Slap them until they're dead, just enough to leave them barely breathing, understand?"

The big black dog was very intelligent. It blinked its round little eyes twice, then its huge body sprawled on the ground, using all four limbs to squeeze itself under the cot like a giant black dough ball.

Several tattered sheets dangling down completely covered its body. The tent was already dimly lit, and unless you shone a flashlight under the bed, you would never discover that a huge creature weighing several hundred pounds was hiding there.

Everything is ready.

Gu Changfeng kicked over an empty metal bucket next to him. The loud crash echoed through the tent, making everyone's ears ring.

He flung open the heavy tent flap and strode out.

The night wind, carrying cold rain, lashed directly at his face. Gu Changfeng paid no heed to the raindrops hitting him, his chest heaving violently as he roared at the center of the camp with his hoarse voice honed on the battlefield.

"Sir, get out here! Half of that telegram was gibberish! Is your crappy radio a fire poker?!" Gu Changfeng's voice was filled with a manic and reckless madness, and his roar pierced through the entire exploration camp.

The two guards standing not far away were so startled by the shout that they dropped their guns and stared blankly in their direction.

Gu Changfeng turned around and yelled into the tent, "You lot! Get Xiao Li up there! All of you come with me to the communications tent! Even if I have to smash the telegraph machine in this camp today, I'm going to personally connect to the garrison headquarters! This concerns my wife's life! Anyone who dares to stop me, I'll kill them!"

No sooner had he finished speaking than a chaotic commotion erupted inside tent number one.

The three assault team members acted exactly as Gu Changfeng instructed. Two of them supported Xiao Li, who was the most seriously injured, while the other led the way with a gun.

Xiao Li was covered in sweat, feigning extreme concern, one hand still tightly gripping Gu Changfeng's sleeve, stammering, "Commander! That bag of film negatives is still inside! We can't just leave it there!"

Gu Changfeng flung his hand away, glaring at him and yelling, "Bullshit! This camp is guarded by hundreds of guns, and Chief Engineer Shen is watching over the place. Who could possibly sneak in and steal anything! This is the middle of nowhere; we don't even see a stranger! I'm going to investigate things in Beijing first! Get out of here!"

The soldiers were so scolded that they dared not retaliate and could only drag their feet behind.

Immediately afterwards, the curtain was lifted again. The fierce tiger, Big Flower, strode out with domineering steps. Ya Ya sat steadily on the tiger's back, her two little hands gripping the soft fur on the tiger's neck, while she chewed on a hard candy she had taken out of her spatial storage.

The little girl called out in her sweet, childish voice, "Dad! I want to find my mom! Let's go and put up big-character posters to beat up the bad guys!"

The large group of people walked noisily together. A tiger led the way, and four bloodied soldiers surrounded Gu Changfeng.

Without even using umbrellas, the group waded through the mud and water, heading straight for the communications tent at the easternmost edge of the camp.

The curtain of tent number one swayed from side to side in the wind, turning it into a completely deserted city.

It was in another independent military tent less than 30 meters away from tent number one.

Shen Jinghong sat on a folding military chair. He had taken off his mud-stained gray cloth jacket and thrown it in a corner, and put on a faded old military overcoat.

He held a steaming enamel teacup in his left hand, and the large, swollen purple bump on the back of his right hand, where he had been hit by a steel ball, was covered with gentian violet and looked quite frightening.

Gu Changfeng's thunderous roar and curses outside reached his ears without missing a single word.

Shen Jinghong's previously tense lips slowly parted into a smile, and the muscles on his face trembled with excitement.

He put down his teacup, stood up, and walked to the tent, carefully prying open a narrow crack in the curtain. By the dim light of the few gas lamps hanging around the campsite, he could see everything clearly.

Gu Changfeng, that living devil, was walking ahead in a fit of rage. His henchmen followed him like wooden stakes. The man-eating tiger and the little girl were also in the group.

They all went to the communications room at the far east end.

"A fool is a fool. He's scared out of his wits by a few pieces of false information." Shen Jinghong sneered through his nose, his voice low and revealing an undisguised arrogance.

Heaven was on his side. He was worried that the tiger and the black bear would be difficult to deal with, and he was thinking of feeding them with poisoned meat buns.

Now Gu Changfeng has lost his composure and has taken all the living creatures around him to vent his anger. The most crucial top-secret film is now left all alone in tent number one.
