Online Games: From Professional Gold Farmer to Night King

"I...I didn't do anything just now. I just ran back two steps, trying to create some distance. Who knew that the BOSS would release a skill just then, and then you all went into a blind state, while I was completely unaffected."

"You ran back two steps? Are you sure?"

"Sure!"

"Listen up, everyone! When the BOSS uses his skill, turn around! Maybe that will make you immune to the blindness!" Ouyang Qingtian shouted.

Although it's uncertain whether this method will actually work, it's certainly the only one we can try right now.

...

A few minutes later, all the servants were killed again, and everyone's attention was focused on the BOSS's actions.

As soon as it raises its knight's sword to use its skill, everyone will turn around in unison to see if they can avoid the blindness.

"Light! Shine!"

...

"Now! Turn around!!"

Almost the instant the BOSS spoke, all 20 people turned their backs to him.

"Whoosh~"

A dazzling white light flashed.

When they opened their eyes again, everyone was surprised to find that none of them had gone blind!

"Hahaha...it really works! Wang Ting, you've done a great job today!! Ahahaha...."

Wang Ting, also known as the Thunder Dharma King, scratched his head in disbelief, as if he had just realized what he had discovered.

"Wait! Did you guys notice? This boss didn't summon any minions!"

"That's right! So that means the boss's mechanic is that it only summons knight minions if it blinds the player?"

"Hahaha... As long as we don't go blind, won't we be able to easily defeat the fifth guardian boss?"

"Let's do it!"

Ouyang Lie roared and instantly activated his Greatsword Technique. A giant sword more than ten meters long triggered the Fiery Sword Technique and slammed heavily into the Knight of Light.

Critical Hit! -118895

"Hahaha...that damage! So satisfying!"

"Focus all fire! Get the boss below 50% health!"

Twenty people, along with dozens of pets, unleashed a brutal beating on the Knight of Light.

Without the blinding effect and the summoned knight servants, only the shield skill and lightning strike remain, which are completely ineffective against the front-line pets.

In just a few minutes, the BOSS's health reached the critical point of 50%.

"boom!"

A bolt of white lightning struck down, hitting the Knight of Light directly and knocking back everyone within a 20-meter radius.

"Come forth, my guards!"

Another familiar array of teleportation arrays appeared, but this time instead of knights and squires, they emerged as guards wielding heavy knight lances, and their numbers were reduced by more than half, to only 20.

"These are offensive knights! Immediately form a defensive formation! Summoners, take your pets and summoned beasts to hold off the BOSS! The rest of you, focus all your efforts on killing these guards!"

While elite knights possess formidable attributes, they have a fatal flaw: they lack ranged attack capabilities.

Although the knight squire is weak, he has the ranged skill of lightning strike.

For top-tier teams like Liehuo and Xingyue, such monsters are actually much easier to deal with.

In less than 10 minutes, all 20 knight guards were killed.

Not only that, the BOSS's health was also reduced to 41%, and the battle went extremely smoothly.

"Looks like this Knight of Light isn't all that great. He was a bit tricky at first, but once you figure out the pattern, he's not much harder to deal with than the Guardian Knight. Hahaha..."

"Don't let your guard down! Don't forget the boss has one more powerful attack to unleash! Everyone, stay alert!"

As expected of the de facto leader of the Blazing Fire Guild, Ouyang Qingtian remained calm and composed no matter the situation.

Although we've completely figured out the BOSS's mechanics, there's still one ultimate move we haven't used yet, so we absolutely cannot let our guard down.

...

With the team's cooperation, the Knight of Light's health dropped rapidly, reaching 19% in less than 5 minutes.

Moreover, the more they fought, the better they became. As long as they weren't controlled, fighting this BOSS was no different from fighting any other lord BOSS.

15%...14%...13%...12%...11%...10%！

Just as the BOSS's health dropped to 10%, the white lightning struck again, knocking back all melee players and pets.

The Knight of Light did not use any summoning skills. Instead, he knelt on one knee, looked up at the sky, and performed a knightly salute.

"Light... grant me strength..."

"boom!"

A beam of light, five or six meters thick, descended and enveloped the Knight of Light.

To everyone's astonishment, a series of +100 million HP recovery values appeared above the Knight of Light's head.

Most importantly, the Knight of Light is in a green-named state at this time, so the player cannot attack him at all!

And so, everyone stood there dumbfounded, watching the Knight of Light's health points rise from 10% all the way up to 50% before stopping.

"Come forth, my guards!"

The familiar scene reappeared, with 20 knights appearing as guards.

...

Seeing the charging knights and guards, Luo Xiaoyu angrily slammed her Snow Dance weapon onto the floor. "Damn it! What kind of ridiculous boss is this! Instantly restoring 40% of maximum health? That's absurd!"

"Whether it's nonsense or not doesn't matter, get up and fight the monsters! This healing skill must have a limit; it can't be triggered infinitely, otherwise what's the point of the players fighting? Everyone focus fire immediately and wipe out these guards!!"

Perhaps provoked by anger, he actually struck a little faster this time than the first time.

It took about nine minutes to kill the 20 knight guards, and everyone was holding their breath as they launched a fierce attack on the Knight of Light.

15%...13%...11%...

"Attention everyone! The boss's health is about to drop to 10%!"

"boom!"

Just as the BOSS's health was about to drop to the critical point, the white lightning struck again.

Amidst the despairing gazes of everyone, the Knight of Light knelt on one knee and performed a knightly salute once more.

"Light... grant me strength!"
