Chapter 259 Extra: I'll Take You to Slay the Dragon 14
Bai Yeying's mind went blank. She wanted to say that you were only six years old in her dream, so what could you do? But she couldn't utter a single word.
He seemed to be doing it on purpose; his free hand slowly brushed across her waist, and through the thin nightgown, the warm touch was so clear it made her heart flutter.
"Nezha..." Her voice softened, carrying a hint of pleading.
He ignored her, his lips moving from her earlobe to her cheek, lingering all the way, showering her with delicate, dense kisses like raindrops.
"Did I kiss you here in my dream?" He placed a kiss on her forehead.
"And here?" A kiss landed on the tip of her nose.
"Here?" The question lingered on the corner of her lips.
Bai Yeying blushed deeply at his question and stammered, "N-no...you were still young then..."
"Now's the perfect time." He chuckled, his tone wicked. "Let's make up for what we owed each other when we were kids."
His kiss finally landed on her lips, this time much gentler than before, lingering and tender, as if trying to melt her completely.
Bai Yeying's hand, which had been resting against his chest, had somehow climbed up to his shoulder and back, her fingers sinking into the folds of his robe.
The ties of her nightgown had come undone at some point, and his fingers, burning hot, slid down her shoulder, sending a shiver down her spine.
A gentle breeze wafted by, carrying with it the calming incense and his own scent, making everyone feel drowsy.
His kisses traveled down her chin, lingering for a moment on her collarbone, leaving a faint mark.
Bai Yeying tilted her head back, her breath unsteady as she called out to him, "Nezha..."
He raised his head, and his phoenix eyes, usually so cold, were now filled with a burning heat and tenderness. His gaze was so intense that she dared not look directly into it.
"Look at me." His voice was a little hoarse.
Bai Yeying met his gaze and saw her reflection perfectly in his eyes.
"I won't let you go." He spoke, his voice low, yet every word pierced her heart. "Whether in dreams or reality. Whether in childhood or now."
His fingers intertwined with hers, pressed against the side of the pillow, palm to palm, warmth passing between them.
"You are mine." He leaned down, his lips meeting hers, their breaths mingling. "From the past to the present, from now to the future. Always."
Bai Yeying raised her hand, cupped his face, and gently stroked the corner of his eye with her thumb: "I know, me too."
He smiled, a smile unlike his usual flamboyant or playful one, but one that carried the cleanliness and seriousness unique to a young man, along with a hint of unconcealed joy.
"Now," his voice lowered, carrying a hint of danger, "let me see how much you miss me."
He kissed her again as soon as he finished speaking.
This time, there was no longer any probing or tenderness, only intense and domineering passion, as if he wanted to devour her whole.
Bai Yeying clung to his shoulders and back, responding to his kiss, letting herself be immersed in this intense emotion.
The brocade quilt slipped off, the robes were scattered, and the temperature inside the hall seemed to rise a few degrees.
Outside the window, the sea of clouds still surges, and the cranes still sing sweetly.
Inside the window, two figures were entangled together, their breaths mingling and their heartbeats merging.
After what seemed like an eternity, he released her lips, which were red from his kisses, and whispered in her ear, his voice hoarse and barely audible, "Was it good?"
Bai Yeying was already out of her mind from his teasing, and upon hearing this, she simply nodded subconsciously.
He chuckled softly, a laugh tinged with satiated laziness and a hint of triumphant smugness.
"good."
That one word, when it fell into her ears, was more beautiful than anything else.
Sunlight streamed in through the window, casting warm shadows on the bed.
An ambiguous atmosphere filled the hall, along with the intertwined breaths of the two.
Outside the window, the sea of clouds continued to surge, and the sun slowly sank in the west.
After an unknown amount of time, Bai Yeying came back to her senses. Her whole body was sore and weak that she didn't even have the strength to move a finger.
The person next to her held her in their arms, gently patting her back with one hand, as if coaxing a child to sleep.
She looked up and met his gaze. He was looking down at her, his phoenix eyes now devoid of their usual sharpness, only filled with the tenderness of satisfaction.
"Awake?" he asked, his voice still a little hoarse from the aftermath.
Bai Yeying glared at him, her voice slightly hoarse: "What do you think?"
He smiled, lowered his head, and kissed her forehead: "Are you tired?"
Bai Yeying wanted to say "What do you think?", but what came out of her mouth was a soft "Mmm".
He pulled her closer to him, resting his chin on the top of her head, and said with a hint of smugness, "Then let's sleep."
................
When Bai Yeying opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Nezha's chin, then his Adam's apple, and his slightly open collar.
His nightgown was loosely tied, revealing a small patch of skin at his collarbone, where a few faint red marks could be seen – marks left by her.
Her gaze followed the marks upwards, landing on the corners of his lips, and finally on his phoenix eyes. He was already awake, looking down at her.
"Have you seen enough?" he asked, his voice hoarse from just waking up, but still pleasant to hear.
Bai Yeying didn't answer, but simply reached out and gently brushed her fingertips across his brow bone.
"How long have you been awake?" she asked, her voice still a little soft.
"It's been a while." He took her mischievous hand, kissed it, and said, "You were sleeping so soundly, I didn't wake you."
His palms were warm, enveloping hers, his thumb gently stroking the back of her hand. The touch was so tender that she couldn't help but snuggle closer to him.
"Want to sleep a little longer?" he asked, looking down at her, his breath brushing against the top of her hair.
"I'm not going to sleep." She shook her head, but didn't move. She just quietly leaned against him, listening to his strong heartbeat.
The sunlight moved inch by inch, from the bed to the floor, and from the floor to the incense burner in the corner. The last wisp of smoke in the incense burner dissipated, and the hall was completely illuminated.
"Are you hungry?" His voice came from above.
"A little."
"I'll go and have someone prepare the meal," he said, getting up, but she stopped him.
"Lie down a little longer," she said sullenly, burying her face in his chest.
He chuckled softly, his chest vibrating slightly. The laughter seemed to emanate from deep within his chest, carrying a mixture of indulgence and helplessness. He lay back down and pulled her closer to him.
After an unknown amount of time, Bai Yeying finally lifted her head from his embrace, rubbed her eyes, and said, "Let's go eat."
The two got up and washed up.
Bai Yeying stood in front of the bronze mirror, combing her slightly messy long hair. Her reflection showed a hint of languor in her eyes and brows, her lips were rosier than usual, and there were a few faint red marks on her neck.
She glanced in the mirror, then turned and glared at someone.
Nezha was standing not far behind her, tying his belt. Noticing her gaze, he looked up, raising an eyebrow slightly: "What?"
Bai Yeying pointed to her neck: "Look what you've done."
He walked over, his gaze falling on the red marks on her neck. A slight smirk played on his lips, a hint of wicked smugness in his smile: "Pretty good-looking."
