This bamboo is born naturally and ranks among the innate spiritual roots. Although it is of low grade, there are more than a hundred of them on the island. Its rarity is no less than that of ordinary high-grade spiritual roots, making it a rare treasure.

Those with a light tone are born with the sound of the Dao, which helps people to understand the principles of heaven and perceive the mysteries of nature; their main stem is harder than refined gold, and can be refined into sword blanks and forged into spiritual weapons, making them the ultimate material source in the art of weapon crafting.

"The innate spiritual spring, the gentle bamboo... it is indeed a rare blessed land. It's a pity that the abbot ultimately failed to create a grotto heaven, making it unable to compare with the grandeur of Penglai, and ultimately falling short." He sighed softly with a hint of regret.

The thirty-six grotto-heavens and seventy-two blessed lands of the primordial world were all transformed from the remains of Pangu; only Penglai, Fangzhang, and Yingtai were formed from divine stones and iron that fell when chaos was first created, containing the origin of chaos, making them extremely precious and comparable to the grotto-heavens and blessed lands.

"It's a pity that no innate spiritual treasures have ever been born on this island. A golden opportunity has ultimately slipped through our fingers," said Daoist Qinglian, gazing at the sea beyond the island.

Since Fangzhang Immortal Island has already appeared in the world, logically speaking, Penglai and Yingzhou Islands should also be hidden not far away in the deep sea.

Yingzhou and Fangzhang are similar in shape and have little difference; however, Penglai Island is vast and blessed with numerous grottoes and endless lands. It is blessed by heaven and earth and must have innate spiritual treasures quietly being nurtured there.

He built three thatched huts by the Qingyin Spirit Bamboo, where he sat quietly every day, practicing breathing exercises to comprehend the natural laws of heaven and earth and absorb the innate spiritual energy of the five elements.

At the turn of the day, a five-colored divine light would rise from his body, with blue, red, yellow, white and black colors intermingling and soaring straight into the sky.

Amidst the radiance, the Twelve-Petaled Creation Lotus slowly rotated, and the Innate Five Elements Divine Diagram unfolded like a curtain, drawing down the clear light of the stars in the heavens to nurture the spiritual treasure and temper its foundation.

Externally, the five elements' spiritual fire is used to forge bones and strengthen muscles; internally, the five elements' true meaning is used to regulate the spirit and nourish the soul, so that yin and yang complement each other and the five elements return to oneness.

While Fangzhang Island is not particularly large, it is spacious and quiet, with Qinglian cultivating alone, making it feel neither cramped nor confined.

There is only one sacred mountain on the entire island, which occupies more than 70% of the land. The remaining forests and open spaces are surrounded by mountains, where occasionally deer and white cranes appear, but there are no other creatures to be found.

The Taoist Qinglian was devoted to the Tao, and did not build palaces or pavilions. He regarded the spirit beasts that came and went freely as nothing.

The three immortal islands of Penglai, Fangzhang, and Yingzhou have existed for a long time, but their time has not yet come. Apart from Qinglian obtaining the abbotship of Fangzhang, the other two islands remain empty in the sea, with no one to set foot on them and take charge. He doesn't concern himself with this matter, treating it as nothing more than passing wind and clouds.

"The physical body possesses formidable power, yet it is extremely difficult to attain enlightenment through it. Without extraordinary fortune or the opportunity to defy fate, rashly immersing oneself in it may ultimately prevent one from reaching the realm of the Great Luo Golden Immortal."

The Taoist Qinglian sat quietly beside the Primordial Spirit Spring, his mind as clear and bright as a mirror.

In this primordial world, various cultivation methods exist, but the witch and demon races place the greatest emphasis on physical cultivation. Even Di Jun and Tai Yi prioritize physical strength and use their primordial spirit as a supplement—almost identical to Qing Lian's path today.

The three thousand Great Paths, each leading to sainthood, upon closer examination, are nothing more than three paths: proving the Dao through force, proving the Dao by severing the three corpses, and proving the Dao through merit.

The path of severing the three corpses is unparalleled throughout history, with no one else able to comprehend it.

The only one who attained enlightenment through merit was the Goddess Nuwa.

As for the Three Pure Ones and the Two Sages of the West, they all attained enlightenment through the combined practice of accumulating merit and severing their corpses—which shows how lofty and isolated the Primordial Chaos Realm is.

Although the physical cultivation method practiced by Daoist Qinglian is of the same origin as the true body of the Ancestral Witch, the Witch Clan abandons the spirit to cultivate the body and severs the primordial spirit; he, on the other hand, cultivates both spirit and body, internal and external cultivation, combining strength and gentleness, and movement and stillness.

He then used the Innate Five Elements Divine Diagram to set up the Innate Five Elements Grand Array, suppressing the fortune of Fangzhang Island, gathering the scattered Innate Five Elements spiritual energy from tens of thousands of miles of sea, and quietly merging it with the original fortune of the East Sea, forming a small world of its own, and quietly receiving the protection of the overseas lineage's fortune.

Since occupying Fangzhang Immortal Island and establishing his cave in the East Sea, Daoist Qinglian has spent his days in meditation and cultivation, detached from the disturbances of the heavens, waiting quietly for the end of this great calamity—waiting for Daoist Ancestor Hongjun to attain enlightenment before going to the Zixiao Palace outside the Thirty-Three Heavens to preach the Dao.

However, few among them possess great supernatural powers; all those who wish to settle here must first visit the Dragon Palace of the East Sea to inform the Dragon Clan and show their respect.

Firstly, the Dragon Clan of the East Sea is the rightful ruler, and proper etiquette cannot be disregarded; secondly, the Dragon Clan has long recorded the thousands of spiritual mountains and immortal islands in the East Sea, and those who have not reported their status may unintentionally offend any reclusive powerful cultivator, so this is the only way to proceed.
