When his gaze fell on Chen Yu, a genuine sense of satisfaction was revealed.

Chen Yu's performance was truly astonishing. Having only listened to the Dao for three thousand years, he had already acquired strength comparable to a Great Luo Golden Immortal. How could he not be gratified?

Moreover, his understanding of the word "Intercept" and his comprehension of the teachings of the Intercepting Sect had reached a profound and subtle level. If it weren't for the fact that he was not destined to be with him, he would have truly wanted to take him on as a personal disciple.

Unfortunately, although he believed that "everything has a chance of survival and all beings can cultivate the Tao," he valued the bond between master and disciple very much.

It should be understood that being a direct disciple is not only about the transmission of the Daoist tradition, but also about one's own fortune and destiny.

The secret had already been revealed: he would only have four direct disciples in his lifetime. Furthermore, when he founded the Jie Sect, he failed to suppress the destiny with a supreme treasure, so he dared not add another one.

After all, the fate of a direct disciple is connected to that of their master, and the karmic entanglement is extremely deep. Once Chen Yu is accepted as a disciple, no matter what calamities or misfortunes he encounters in the future, he will inevitably bear a share of the karma.

Only direct disciples with a deep karmic connection to their master can share a common destiny and a spiritual bond with their teacher. Without extraordinary opportunities, one will never be accepted as a direct descendant.

When the Tongtian Sect Leader stopped preaching, all the strange phenomena in the world disappeared.

The divine dragon hid itself beyond the nine heavens, the colorful phoenix folded its wings and returned to the parasol tree, the qilin hid in the mountains and forests, heavenly flowers fell and golden lotuses withered, all of which turned into formless and intangible innate spiritual energy and returned to the void.

However, the Sanqing Palace was still filled with a rich Taoist atmosphere that lingered for a long time.

Although Chen Yu sensed that the sound of the Great Dao had ceased, he did not open his eyes or get up. Instead, he took the opportunity to sink into a deeper realm, tempering his own star river once again, making it more solid and vast.

Having undergone a physical transformation, the primordial spirit has also been elevated, and the power of the galaxy it can contain far surpasses that of the past. How can such an opportunity be wasted?

Furthermore, the innate spiritual energy within the Sanqing Palace is extremely pure, requiring no complicated refining process; it can be directly absorbed and used as the source of the galaxy.

Such an opportunity is rare indeed.

Know that if you miss it today, the next time you meet it may be millions of years from now.

Chen Yu not only continued to condense the star river, but also polished the prototype of his Dao body, intending to use this supreme Dao field to condense his Dao body into a complete form in one fell swoop.

Once successful, the Dao body can exist across dimensions of time and space. Even if the physical body perishes, as long as the Dao body remains, it can still return to the world and be reborn in Nirvana.

As he focused on his spiritual practice, time quietly passed.

A hundred years is but a fleeting moment. In this vast and ancient world, time is the cheapest commodity.

A powerful being can go into seclusion for tens of thousands of years at a time, while an ordinary cultivator can go into seclusion for thousands of years. A mere hundred years is but a breath away.

A century later, the people who had been immersed in the enlightenment of the Great Dao finally awoke one after another.

When the last person opened his eyes, everyone stood up and respectfully bowed to the three sages, expressing their gratitude to their teachers.

"Thank you, Grand Master Uncle, Second Master Uncle, and Third Master Uncle, for your guidance on the Great Way."

Upon hearing this, the three sages nodded slightly, their gazes sweeping over the crowd. Seeing that most of them had made breakthroughs, they were greatly pleased.

Immediately, the three saints spoke, their voices like bells and drums, echoing throughout the hall.

"If you are listening to the Great Dao and have any questions, you may ask them now, and we will answer them for you."

As soon as he finished speaking, the disciples began to express their confusion and ask for clarification on the meaning and profound principles of the scriptures.

The three saints responded one by one, either pointing out the key points or using metaphors to help him break through the confusion.

Chen Yu listened to the questions and answers, but didn't take them to heart. Because he already knew the answers to all the questions, and they didn't bother him at all.

Therefore, he stopped paying attention to external affairs and focused on absorbing the spiritual energy in the Sanqing Palace to continuously temper the starry river and his Dao body.

He cultivated himself in this way for a hundred years, until it was his turn to ask the question.

Chen Yu rose, faced the three division commanders, and solemnly inquired:

"Elder Master, Second Master, Teacher, what is the Great Way? And how should we comprehend its true meaning?"

Upon hearing this, Taiqing Laozi, Yuqing Yuanshi, and Shangqing Tongtian all showed surprise—they had never expected Chen Yu to raise such a fundamental question.

Taiqing Laozi slowly opened his lips: "The Great Dao is the law governing the operation of all things. The Dao resides in all things and is omnipresent. The operation of heaven and earth is the Dao, the rotation of the sun and moon is the Dao, the flourishing and withering of grass and trees, the rising and falling of mountains and rivers, all contain the meaning of the Dao."

"The Tao follows the natural way, pervading every minute detail. As long as you use your heart to feel and understand, you will eventually realize it."

"To understand the Great Dao, one must observe the order of heaven and earth, examine the movement of the stars, comprehend the feelings of plants and trees, and grasp the will of mountains and rivers. When your heart is in harmony with the Dao, you will naturally comprehend its true meaning."

After Lao Tzu finished speaking, most of the disciples in the Sanqing Palace looked bewildered, seemingly understanding but not quite.

Yuqing Yuanshi and Shangqing Tongtian nodded silently in agreement.

After listening, Chen Yu nodded solemnly, bowed to the three saints again, and then returned to his original position to sit quietly.

Upon seeing this, the three saints immediately announced:

"This sermon is now complete. You may all withdraw and go into seclusion to carefully contemplate the teachings that have been imparted."

"After leaving, you may choose any one of the palaces in the adjacent complex as your place of cultivation."

After speaking, the three sages closed their eyes and entered into meditation, each contemplating the Dao of Heaven before departing.

Upon seeing this, all the disciples bowed in unison and then left the Sanqing Palace one by one.

After stepping out of the palace gates, they exchanged glances and then headed towards the nearby palaces to find their own places of cultivation.

At this moment, everyone was extremely anxious and eager to go into seclusion for cultivation.

Having just listened to the three sages discuss the Dao, many of the doubts that had accumulated in their hearts were resolved, and they all felt a sense of sudden enlightenment. They then wished to take this opportunity to cultivate diligently, transforming all the knowledge they had gained from listening to the Dao into their own cultivation, and further solidify their foundation.

Chen Yu glanced at the crowd and saw them heading towards the palace complex. He silently followed, walking steadily into the ancient and solemn halls, just to find a quiet place to go into seclusion again and refine his Dao body.

He randomly selected a secluded and quiet palace from among the many palaces, then set up a restriction and officially entered a state of seclusion.

For him, the only thing he lacks now is to completely solidify his Dao body—once he succeeds, he can truly cross the threshold and enter the realm of Earth Immortal.

The first step of his "Mythical Great Luo Golden Immortal Cultivation Method" requires practitioners to open up star rivers and construct their own realm, thereby obtaining the will to live as long as heaven and earth, achieving self-reliance in space and time, and sublimating and transforming both the physical body and the primordial spirit. With every move, one can invoke the great power of heaven and earth, allowing the Dao body to step into the space-time dimension.

All the previous steps have already been successfully completed, with only the final step remaining: to condense the Dao body and integrate it into the spacetime dimension.

If he completes this step, he will no longer fear death.

Even if the physical body perishes, as long as the Dao body still exists within the spacetime dimension, it can return to the world and reappear as a true spirit.

Only when one's true body is destroyed and one's spiritual body is completely erased can one truly be said to have perished in both form and spirit.

However, as far as he knew, just as Taiqing Laozi, Yuqing Yuanshi, and Shangqing Tongtian had said, even earth immortals could not escape the day when their lifespan would run out.

Only a Quasi-Saint could destroy his Dao body.
