Brother, just how powerful is our family?
Chapter 35 The Headache of the United States
The United States is the most troubled by this.
---
Wharton, D.C., the Hexagon.
The atmosphere in the highly confidential conference room was so tense it was almost palpable.
"Can anyone tell me why F-22s and B-1Bs ended up in the hands of a Chinese private army?!" The Minister of Defense slammed his fist on the table, his face ashen.
Silence fell over the conference room. Several generals and high-ranking officials lowered their heads, not daring to speak.
"Intelligence!" the minister asked, turning to a middle-aged man wearing glasses. "What have you discovered?"
"Mr. Secretary, we've investigated all possible sources of leakage," the intelligence official said, forcing a smile. "But...we've found nothing. Lockheed Martin and Boeing have both vehemently denied selling any equipment to Worldworld, and we've checked their production and sales records—there's nothing there."
"What are those things in the video? Models?!" the minister roared. "Those are real aircraft that can fly and bomb! And their performance is even better than our current models! Did you see those takeoff scenes? There was almost no sound! What kind of technology is this?!"
"We've analyzed it, and those aircraft may only look similar," an Air Force general said. "Their internal structures are actually completely different. Especially the power system—the standard F-22 uses two F119 turbofan engines, but the fighter jet in the video shows almost no characteristics of a jet engine when it takes off; instead, it looks like...like some kind of more advanced propulsion system."
"More advanced?" The minister frowned. "More advanced than the F-22?"
"Yes," the general nodded. "And the bombers too. The B-1B's maximum speed is Mach 1.25, but the bombers in the video are clearly faster. We deduced from satellite data that their cruising speed may have reached Mach 2.5, or even higher."
A collective gasp filled the conference room.
A bomber with a speed of Mach 2.5? What does that even mean?
"And they also have range," the general continued. "From Afrika Korma to northern Burma, it's over 7,000 kilometers one way. A standard B-1B would need at least two aerial refuelings to complete such a mission, but the video shows these bombers flying directly back and forth. This means their range is at least 15,000 kilometers."
"Fifteen thousand kilometers..." the minister murmured, "That's farther than a B-2..."
"So the conclusion is," the intelligence official concluded, "that the aviation technology possessed by the Worldwide Corporation may have surpassed ours. Those aircraft may resemble the F-22 and B-1B in appearance, but they are actually completely different things."
A deathly silence fell over the conference room.
A private conglomerate possessing aviation technology more advanced than that of the United States? That's utterly absurd!
But with the video evidence right in front of them, they had no choice but to believe it.
"Who exactly is this Qin Feng?" The minister finally asked the question that everyone wanted to know.
"He came from a small county in Henan Province of China, graduated from an ordinary university, and went to Heilongjiang two years ago," the intelligence officer reported. "Then, like a rocket launch, he built a massive force in a short period of time. We speculate that he may have received the full support of some country or organization... or..."
"Or what?"
"Or he possesses some kind of...extraordinary technology that we don't know about," the official said cautiously.
"Extraordinary technology?" The minister frowned. "You mean... alien technology? Or the legacy of some secret organization?"
"Anything is possible," the official said. "But whatever it is, the fact is that the Global Group now possesses military strength comparable to that of a medium-sized power. Judging from this operation in northern Myanmar, their deployment capabilities, strike accuracy, and troop quality... are all world-class."
The minister remained silent for a long time. Finally, he raised his head, his eyes sharpening: "We cannot allow a private army to possess such power, especially... a Chinese."
"The minister means..."
"Put pressure on the Global Group," the minister ordered. "Through diplomatic channels, demand that they hand over those aircraft and cease all military activities. If they refuse..."
He didn't finish his sentence, but everyone understood what he meant.
If refused, the United States may take... extraordinary measures.
"Also, notify the CIA," the minister added, "I need all the information on Qin Feng and the Huanyu Group, the more detailed the better."
"yes!"
After the meeting, a series of orders were issued from the Pentagon.
The U.S. diplomatic apparatus began to operate, with multiple departments simultaneously putting pressure on the Universal Group.
Qin Feng had anticipated all of this.
---
Black Continent, the base of the Universal Group.
Qin Feng looked at the "ultimatum" from the United States on the screen and a cold smile appeared on his lips.
The ultimatum was concise: it demanded that the Universal Group hand over all "illegally acquired" U.S. equipment and disband its private armed forces within 72 hours, or face "serious consequences."
"Commander, a U.S. Navy carrier strike group is moving toward the Indian Ocean," Qin Weidong reported. "In addition, their bomber force at Diego Garcia has also been put on standby."
"They moved pretty quickly," Qin Feng said dismissively. "But...do they think they can scare me like that?"
"How do you plan to respond?"
Qin Feng thought for a moment and said, "Send a letter to the U.S. Department of Defense. Say... those planes were made by ourselves and have nothing to do with the U.S. If they want to take them by force, then let them try."
He paused, then added, "Also, get the Space Force ready. If the Americans dare to make a move, shoot down those satellites they're using to monitor us."
"Yes, sir!" Qin Weidong stood at attention, then hesitated for a moment, "Commander, wouldn't this... trigger a full-scale conflict?"
"Conflict?" Qin Feng laughed. "Wei Dong, remember this. In this world, sometimes the more you back down, the more others will take advantage of you. Only by demonstrating sufficient strength can you earn respect."
He stood up, walked to the window, and looked at the base outside: "The US wants to test my strength, so let them come. Perfect, I also need a real battle to test the combat effectiveness of our troops."
Qin Feng knew that conflict with the United States and the entire Western world was inevitable sooner or later.
And he was already prepared.
This storm will test the true strength of the Universal Group.
This will also determine the future world order.
Qin Feng turned around, his eyes resolute: "Notify all troops to enter Level One combat readiness. Let us... welcome our distinguished guests."
