This Taoist priest is so unprofessional!

Chapter 141: Spending money, who doesn't know how?

Holding the three-piece set, Wang Xiaoer walked out of the Zhenye Division's underground base in a daze.

It wasn't until he breathed in the fresh air of the ground, carrying the scent of grass, and saw the morning sun overhead that he felt a sense of reality.

He looked down at the black card in his hand.

In the sunlight, the golden dragon pattern in the corner of the card shimmered with a dazzling light.

All of this is real; it's so real that no one even arranged a car to take him home.

More than an hour later, he finally boarded the bus back to the city and returned to that familiar old street.

Pushing open the glass door of the office, a familiar aroma of tea and a faint smell of medicine wafted out.

Zhang Chen and A Yue were sitting on the sofa, and surprisingly, neither of them was playing games; both looked worried.

Seeing Wang Xiaoer walk in unharmed, they stood up at the same time, their faces instantly filled with surprise and relief.

"Waiter! You're back!" Ah Yue was the first to rush over, circling him and carefully checking him over. "They didn't do anything to you, did they?"

Zhang Chen quickly walked over, patted him on the shoulder, and asked in a deep voice, "Are you alright? Did those people from the Night Guard give you any trouble?"

Looking at the two people's concerned eyes, Wang Xiaoer felt a surge of warmth in his heart.

He grinned, revealing a set of white teeth.

"It's nothing, what could possibly happen?"

"They not only didn't make things difficult for me, but they also treated me to a good cup of tea and, incidentally... gave me something."

As he spoke, he shook his right hand.

Zhang Chen and A Yue's eyes both fell on the black card in his hand.

"What is this?" Zhang Chen asked, frowning. He sensed an unusual aura emanating from the card.

Wang Xiaoer smiled mysteriously, took a deep breath, and then slowly said something that left Zhang Chen and A Yue speechless.

"The country gave me a small goal to spend."

Wang Xiaoer's words immediately froze Zhang Chen and A Yue in place.

"What did you say?" Zhang Chen's eye twitched; he wondered if there was something wrong with his ears.

A-Yue also looked bewildered. She reached out and touched Wang Xiaoer's forehead, then touched her own.

"Waiter, were you scared out of your wits in there? Your temperature is normal."

Wang Xiaoer looked at the two of them and gave a wry smile.

He handed over the black card and the forged identity document.

See for yourself.

Zhang Chen snatched it away, first picking up the completely black card.

His pupils constricted sharply when his fingertips touched the three-dimensional golden dragon emblem in the corner of the card.

"The Dragon Pattern Black Gold Card of the Night Guardian Division?!" His voice changed, filled with undisguised shock.

He looked at it over and over again, then picked up the document named "Wang Yaozu," opened it, and found that the information inside was outrageously detailed.

From his birthplace to his primary and secondary school years, his overseas study experience, and even a few photos from different periods of his life, everything was fabricated flawlessly.

"They...really gave you a hundred million?"

"A quota of one hundred million," Wang Xiaoer corrected, then recounted in detail how the Zhenye Division had recruited him as an advisor and the mission from the "Life Stealing Sect."

After hearing this, A-Yue's face turned pale instantly.

"No! That's too dangerous!" she objected without hesitation. "Those people are definitely vicious villains. What if you get caught trying to lure them in?"

Wang Xiaoer felt a warmth in his heart, patted his chest, and grinned.

"Don't worry, don't you believe in my abilities? I'm just going through the motions, I just need to catch the fish, and the rest will be handled by the Night Guard."

"I'm just going there to act, what problem could possibly arise?"

"acting?"

Upon hearing those two words, Zhang Chen suddenly spoke, his eyes gleaming with an unusual light—a mixture of excitement and eagerness.

He slapped his thigh sharply.

"This is getting interesting. Do you want me to give you some advice?"

Zhang Chen quickly got into the role of "strategist," pacing back and forth in the office with his hands behind his back, muttering to himself.

"I need to play a nouveau riche who has returned from overseas, someone with lots of money, a foolish streak, and incredible luck..."

He stopped and looked Wang Xiaoer up and down, then shook his head in disgust.

"No, no, your outfit right now looks so dowdy from head to toe. You can't even get into a high-end shopping mall, let alone fool anyone."

He snapped his fingers.

"Alright, I'll devise a plan for you to become a nouveau riche. So, the first step is to change your clothes!"

Wang Xiaoer looked at him, who was even more engrossed than himself, and couldn't help but laugh and cry.

"How do I change it?"

"Of course we're going to spend money!" Zhang Chen said matter-of-factly. "Take your black card, go to the most upscale places in the city, and let him spend all the money he can!"

And so, half an hour later.

Wang Xiaoer, Zhang Chen, and A Yue stood at the entrance of Jin Ding International, the most upscale luxury shopping center in Jiangcheng.

Looking at the clothes, bags, and watches displayed in the shop windows, and the astonishing string of zeros behind them, Wang Xiaoer felt even more nervous than when he was fighting a dragon.

He had lived for twenty years, and this was the first time he had ever stepped into such a place.

The three people, dressed in ordinary clothes, seemed out of place in this elegant and glamorous environment.

As soon as they entered a men's luxury clothing store with an Italian sign, several pairs of eyes immediately swept over them.

That gaze held a subtle scrutiny and an almost imperceptible hint of disdain.

A saleswoman dressed in an elegant suit, with perfect makeup, walked over in high heels, a professional smile on her face, but her eyes were devoid of warmth.

"Hello, how can I help you? Or would you like to just browse around?"

She deliberately added a subtle emphasis to the words "just browsing".

A-Yue felt a little uncomfortable in this atmosphere and subconsciously shrank behind Wang Xiaoer.

Zhang Chen, on the other hand, seemed unfazed. He nudged Wang Xiaoer with his elbow and lowered his voice.

"Show me your 'CEO Wang' attitude! Don't back down!"

Wang Xiaoer took a deep breath.

He remembered the string of zeros in his card, and instantly felt confident.

Spending money is something everyone knows how to do.

He straightened his back, mimicking the domineering CEOs on TV, and put on a cold and critical expression.

He glanced at the female sales assistant, said nothing, and walked straight to the most conspicuous spot in the store.

There hung a dark blue suit with an exaggerated cut and fabric that shimmered dimly under the light, paired with a gaudy silk shirt.

It looks expensive and ostentatious.

"This set..." Zhang Chen was about to comment when Wang Xiaoer raised his hand.

He pointed to the suit, then to several other equally expensive-looking outfits next to it, and spoke to the sales assistant who had followed him in an unquestionable tone.

"This one, and this one, and the one next to it."

"As long as the size is right, wrap them all up for me."

The entire store fell silent instantly.

The saleswoman's professional smile froze. She paused for two seconds before asking somewhat uncertainly.

"Sir...you mean you want all of these sets?"

"What?" Wang Xiaoer frowned, his tone tinged with impatience. "You think I can't afford it?"

"No, no, no, of course not!" The saleswoman quickly waved her hand, but the suspicion in her eyes only deepened.

Several other sales associates who had been whispering among themselves also cast curious glances at the scene.

Just then, Zhang Chen came over and whispered something like a cunning strategist.

"No, no, your taste is still lacking! Many of these are too understated, not flashy enough, and don't look like nouveau riche at all."

He pointed to something glittering in a glass display case.

"They need those gold chains and big gold watches; they have to practically have 'I'm rich' written all over their faces!"

Wang Xiaoer's eye twitched.

Upon hearing this, the saleswoman could no longer conceal the mocking smile on her lips.

They really are just a bunch of country bumpkins trying to cause trouble.
