While waiting for the food to be served, Zhi Qiu rested her chin on her hand, looking tenderly at Ye Shu's face, as if there were flowers on his face.

She suddenly spoke, saying softly:

"Speaking of which, little Shu rarely cooks seafood at home. Does he not like it?"

Ye Shu nodded and, without hiding anything, recounted the incident from years ago when she went out to a restaurant with Han Yang and the others and got hit in the mouth by seafood.

Upon hearing this, Zhi Qiu's already smiling eyes narrowed even more, as if she had discovered something amusing.

"Oh, I see."

She spoke softly:

"However, this shop is said to have a good reputation and does a great job of removing fishy smells. Little Shu can try it again, maybe his opinion will change today."

With things having come to this point, Ye Shu had no choice but to bite the bullet and proceed.

The main problem is that there are too many people queuing outside other stores. It's not worth queuing for more than two hours just to get a meal. People would rather go home and eat there.

Otherwise, he would have to go somewhere else, even if it's just to eat a bowl of beef noodles.

As he was lost in thought, Zhi Qiu suddenly spoke up from across the table:

"It's so good that we met little Shu."

This sudden remark startled Ye Shu. He looked up at Zhi Qiu and asked:

"Why are you suddenly bringing this up?"

"I just suddenly felt like saying it."

Zhi Qiu's gentle smile:

"Little Shu has a good personality. He's gentle and genuinely kind to us. I'm so lucky to have found such a treasure, a priceless one at that."

Being praised so directly by Zhi Qiu, Ye Shu really felt a little embarrassed, and he quickly said:

"I'm so lucky... Look, I met you all, and all four of you like me so much, so I..."

Before he could finish saying "me too," the waiter came over with a cart and placed dishes on the table.

Suddenly interrupted, Ye Shu muttered to himself, "How disappointing."

He sighed and glanced at Zhi Qiu across from him. Fortunately, Zhi Qiu was still smiling, her eyes as gentle as a pool of autumn water. She should understand what he was trying to say, right?

Ye Shu looked down at the table, her heart sinking.

Isn't this a bit too difficult? Several plates of food were served raw, which made him, someone used to eating cooked food, instinctively resistant.

Moreover, back when I went out with Han Yang and the others, I couldn't even stand cooked food, let alone raw food...

Zhi Qiu, sitting opposite Ye Shu, picked up a piece of salmon, dipped it in the prepared sauce, and then held the chopsticks to Ye Shu's lips.

"Come on, open your mouth, ah~"

Looking at this piece of orange-red fish meat, with white patterns on it, it really looked quite beautiful under the light above.

Although Ye Shu had never eaten pork, he had seen pigs run and knew that this was called salmon.

I've heard people say that salmon tastes best when it's raw, and that it's incredibly delicious.

But looking at the piece of fish, he still couldn't quite open his mouth.

Seeing that he didn't open his mouth for a long time, Zhi Qiu stared at him for a while, then suddenly narrowed her eyes and smiled even more.

"Little Shu doesn't like to eat like this? Then..."

She didn't try to persuade Ye Shu to open his mouth anymore. Instead, she put her chopsticks back and put the piece of fish directly into her mouth, but she didn't eat it all, leaving half of it outside.

Then she leaned forward slightly, bringing her face closer to Ye Shu, and looked at him with a smile:

"So... does little Shu want some?"

It has to be said that the scene was indeed tempting. Ye Shu looked at the piece of fish meat peeking out from Zhi Qiu's lips, and with Zhi Qiu's lips, Ye Shu couldn't tell which one was edible.

But a quick glance out of the corner of his eye caught a glimpse of a waiter pretending to wipe a table, his eyes constantly glancing in their direction. His sly, gossipy manner instantly snapped Ye Shu back to reality. He lowered his voice and said:

"Stop...stop fooling around, there are other people around."

Zhi Qiu smiled and then ate the half-fish.

She picked up another slice, dipped it in the sauce, and held it to Ye Shu's lips, saying as if coaxing a child:

"Little Shu, you should try it. It's not fishy at all, it tastes sweet, and it melts in your mouth."

Ye Shu looked at the trembling piece of meat on the tip of his chopsticks, gritted his teeth, made up his mind, and ate the piece of fish.

He chewed it a few times, frowning and closing his eyes as if he were taking poison.

The raw fish tasted a bit strange, but to be honest, he didn't taste any fishy smell. After the sauce wore off, he could taste a faint sweetness.

"How is it? Is it delicious?"

Zhi Qiu rested her chin on her hand and looked at him, asking a question.

Ye Shu swallowed the meat and told the truth:

"Hmm, it's alright. It's not particularly delicious, but it's acceptable."

He wasn't a big fan of seafood to begin with, so he still found it a bit hard to get used to.

However, Zhi Qiu was already quite satisfied, as if she had achieved something, and said softly with a smile:

"That's good. In that case, Xiao Shu's first time is mine."

"W-What?! First time?! What are you saying, Sister Zhi Qiu?!"

Upon hearing Zhi Qiu's thunderous remark, Ye Shu's face immediately turned red, and she subconsciously glanced down at her pants.

Zhi Qiu looked at him and said with a smile:

"I meant it's your first time eating sashimi. What, what did you think it was?"

"Um... let's eat."

When Ye Shu and the others came out of the mall, the sun was setting and the sky was ablaze with heat.

Zhi Qiu's newly bought wide-brimmed straw hat shone golden in the backlight of the setting sun.

This is a must-see hat with a slightly tattered look. The brim is wide, and the edges are deliberately made to look like they've been bitten by the sea breeze.

This style is usually seen in beach scenes, but when it's on Zhi Qiu's head, paired with her white dress and her gentle temperament, it doesn't look out of place at all.

The straw hat didn't seem out of place at all; on the contrary, it amplified her pure and gentle aura.

Ye Shu turned her head to look at him, the setting sun shining on her face, complementing her faint smile.

With each step she took, the hem of her skirt swayed gently, and the brim of her straw hat trembled slightly with her movements.

So beautiful.

Sister Zhi Qiu looks like she stepped right out of a healing anime; she's so beautiful.

Zhi Qiu shook Ye Shu's hand and smiled:

"Little Shu, did you overpay for this hat? The sun's already setting."

Ye Shu's eyes remained fixed on Zhi Qiu's face, and her answer was equally decisive:

"It was a great deal, this hat was just the right purchase."

Yes, hats are for sun protection, but today's sunset feels warmer than the midday sun.
