Historically, it was Dong Zhongshu's "Three Books on Heaven and Man" that gained the support of Emperor Wu of Han, who then dismissed all other schools of thought and exclusively promoted Confucianism, thus creating a unified ideology and deifying the Han emperor's rule.

It was also during the reign of Emperor Wu of Han that prophecies became very popular.

To prove the legitimacy of the Han Dynasty's rule, Emperor Wu of Han changed the water element from the element of Liu Bang to the earth element.

The theory of the Five Elements, which uses earth to overcome water and replaces water with earth virtue, proves the correctness of the Han Dynasty's rule.

Even so, the legal basis for the Han Dynasty's rule was still not very clear.

Until the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Emperor Guangwu summoned a meteorite, which proved the divine status of the Han emperor.

Ban Biao wrote "On the Mandate of Heaven," using the concepts of destiny, sacred lineage, and virtuous fortune to explain the legitimacy of the Han dynasty's royal power and reign. He used the fates of heroes throughout history to prove that Liu's imperial throne was ordained by Heaven, and that no amount of effort afterward would be of any use.

This permanently cemented the Mandate of Heaven and the right to rule over the Liu family.

Coupled with the various preferential treatments given to powerful families and the four-hundred-year reign, this made the world believe that the Han Dynasty was truly ordained by Heaven and that the Mandate of Heaven still existed.

This is why, even after decades of chaos and war at the end of the Han Dynasty, some people still remained loyal to the Han.

Even someone like Zhuge Liang, who was born in the early stages of the Yellow Turban Rebellion and had almost no experience of the peaceful rule of the Han Dynasty, was still willing to dedicate himself to the cause of the Han Dynasty until his death.

Wei Ping had also considered offering up the legal foundation established for the Han Dynasty.

This paper explains the methods of achieving the Three Kings' Rule, the Great Harmony society, and the Manifest Mandate of Heaven for the Han Dynasty from the perspective of the three stages of socialism.

I eventually gave up.

This era is not suitable.

After hundreds of years of chaos and war, the world has finally been unified, and now stability is needed.

It is time to rest and recuperate; it is not suitable to launch a major attack.

This is why Liu Bang chose to govern by non-interference and for the Han dynasty to inherit the Qin system.

Doesn't he want to come up with a system that belongs to the Han Dynasty to prove that he is no less capable than Qin Shi Huang?

He dreamed of it.

But he still gave up.

This emperor, who rose from humble beginnings, deeply understood the hardships of the people.

Allowing people to rest and recuperate is the most correct choice.

After Emperor Wen of Han governed the country, the granaries were full and people knew etiquette, and the Han Dynasty had the material conditions to pursue a higher spiritual level.

He was curious whether the seeds of socialism, sown more than two thousand years ago, would take root and sprout.

If it were possible, what kind of fruit would it grow?

"I have something to report."

Wei Ping stepped forward, drawing surprised glances from the surrounding court officials.

In the eyes of all the court officials, Wei Ping was a general whose martial prowess was unparalleled and who could be counted among the best in history books.

This military force alone is enough to leave a brilliant mark on history.

It will be remembered for thousands and thousands of years to come; it will not be a simple matter.

How could such a person achieve anything in civil administration?

Could it be that God really is your father?

I truly love you!

"Granted."

Liu Bang chuckled; he was also curious about what Wei Ping was going to say.

"In the past, when Emperor Yao abdicated the throne, he said, 'Oh, Shun, the mandate of Heaven rests upon you.' Shun then passed the mandate to Yu. The ministers Ji and Qi assisted Tang and Yu, bringing glory to the four seas. Their virtue was passed down through generations until Tang and Wu, who finally ruled the world. Although their times and abdications differed, their principle of responding to Heaven and obeying the people was the same."

This is a quote from Ban Biao, a famous historian of the Han Dynasty, in the Book of Han.

Ban Biao may not be that famous, but his son, Ban Chao, is more famous, the creator of the story of abandoning his pen for the sword.

Thirty-six men flew to the Western Regions, conquering more than fifty countries and becoming ruthless figures who became the supreme rulers of the Western Regions.

In modern terms, this means that the entire area west of Gansu and east of the Middle East was completely subdued by Ban Gu.

He was also an idol of many poets in later generations.

Back in the imperial court.

These words stunned the group of people.

The more cultured a person is, the more carefully they will ponder this passage.

Beads in every word.

Fan Kuai felt a little itchy on his scalp, as if something had grown out.

"Therefore, the Liu family inherited the throne from Yao, and the lineage of the clan is recorded in the Spring and Autumn Annals. The Tang dynasty was based on the element of fire, and the Han dynasty continued this tradition. When the dynasty first rose in Peize, the goddess mother cried out at night to signify the presence of the Red Emperor."

"Therefore, the reign of an emperor must be based on his enlightened and virtuous character, his accumulated achievements and benefits, and his sincere devotion to the gods and the people. Thus, he is blessed by the spirits and the world will turn to him. I have never seen anyone who has risen to this position without a foundation for his rule and without recorded merits."

This passage uses the mandate of heaven to prove why the Liu family obtained the world. The Liu family were descendants of Emperor Yao and inherited the merits of their ancestors.

Liu Bang was the reincarnation of the Red Emperor's son, blessed by his ancestors and the gods, and qualified to quell the chaos in the world. Therefore, the Liu family should rule the world.

"The common people see that Emperor Gaozu rose from humble beginnings, but they do not understand the reason. They think he was simply fortunate to have encountered a violent rebellion and thus had the opportunity to wield his sword. Persuasive advisors even compare it to a game of wrestling for the throne, hoping to win by chance. They do not know that the imperial power is ordained by destiny and cannot be obtained through intelligence or wisdom. How tragic!"

"..."

This latter part resolved Liu Bang's anxieties and showed the world that the struggle for power was not so simple.

To think you can conquer the world with just a three-foot sword is wishful thinking.

"The rise of Emperor Gaozu can be attributed to five factors: first, he was a descendant of Emperor Yao; second, he possessed an unusual physical appearance; third, he was divinely and martial; fourth, he was magnanimous, wise, and benevolent; and fifth, he was good at recognizing and employing people. In addition, he was trustworthy, good at planning, and receptive to advice. He regarded good advice as if it were not enough, used people as if it were his own, accepted advice as if it were flowing with the current, and acted promptly as if it were an angel."

"..."

"Then blessings will flow to one's descendants, and heavenly favor will last forever."

The following content explains the reasons why various warlords failed during the late Qin Dynasty and why Liu Bang gained control of the empire.

It fully exploited the blind faith of people in the era in destiny and fate, consolidated the rule of the Han Dynasty, and provided a theoretical basis for the legitimacy of Liu Bang's conquest of the world and the establishment of the Han Dynasty as the world's ruler.

It could be said that if this article had appeared at the beginning of the Han Dynasty, there would have been half as many rebellions in the country.

After all, Ban Biao's "On the Mandate of Heaven" led a large number of scholars to support Liu Xiu, and even many forces surrendered as a result, greatly accelerating Liu Xiu's process of unifying the country.

When Wei Ping uttered his theory of the mandate of heaven, the entire court fell silent.

Fan Kuai looked at Wei Ping with the eyes of someone looking at a traitor.

We agreed to work ourselves to the bone together, but you quietly made it big?!

traitor!

Horror!

Wei Ping is not only capable of fighting against ten thousand men, but he also has such talent in civil administration.

He was only a few years old, in his early twenties, and was skilled in both literature and martial arts.

In a decade or two, will anyone in this court still be able to check and balance him?!

Even Liu Bang's eyes showed a hint of gloom.

He knows his own body can't hold on for more than a few years.

Crown Prince Liu Ying was also spoiled and had no control over these founding ministers.

Originally, it was thought that Wei Ping could become a weapon to suppress these veteran generals for his successor.

Now it seems that Wei Ping is the one in the most danger.

Zhang Liang wrote a letter expressing his desire to retire into seclusion, while Han Xin was a simpleton with too much arrogance, which even Zhang Liang couldn't control well.

Fan Kuai, Zhou Bo, and others were no match for Wei Ping.

Wei Ping is too outstanding.

Sometimes, being too outstanding is a mistake in itself!
