My partner at Hogwarts is Tom

Chapter 73 Pokémon Encyclopedia!

"Come in." Victor stepped aside to make way.

The twins immediately filed in, curiously looking around Victor's office.

The furnishings here were much simpler than they had imagined, consisting of only essential furniture, a large number of books, some interesting magical gadgets, and exotic souvenirs from all over the world.

But their attention was quickly drawn to the huge metal door in the corner.

Victor didn't offer any further explanation, he simply waved his wand.

"Given a thorough cleaning."

Four gentle, breeze-like rays of light simultaneously enveloped the twins, Tom, and himself.

Wherever the light passed, it carried away all the dust, sweat, and any traces of magical dust that might have adhered to it.

It also forms an extremely short-lived but effective sterile barrier, ensuring that external biological or magical contamination is not brought into the highly sensitive experimental environment.

The twins felt a refreshing sensation all over their bodies, and even their hair became exceptionally smooth, causing them to blink in surprise.

"Come with me," Victor said, walking to the metal door and striking it with his wand in a specific rhythm while chanting the incantation.

Under the twins' wide-eyed gaze, a few seconds later, the heavy metal door, a blend of industrial and magical aesthetics, stood before them once more, slowly sliding open to reveal a bright, clean, and vast laboratory space filled with a dazzling array of equipment.

"Merlin's beard—" George murmured, his mouth slightly open.

"This—this is—" Fred's eyes widened like Galleons, his gaze sweeping from the massive central lab bench to the towering storage shelves all around.

Then we passed by those glittering, sophisticated instruments and countless bottles and jars with mysterious labels.

Finally, the focus shifts to the intricate magical lighting fixtures and ventilation system on the ceiling.

This isn't a laboratory; it's their dream alchemy paradise!

Every corner exudes an aura of knowledge, creativity, and unabashed Galleon!

Compared to their Weasleys Wizarding Tricks workshop, cobbled together in an abandoned classroom with rudimentary tools and materials sourced entirely from recycled materials and creative ideas, this place is like the difference between Hogwarts and the Hog's Head!

The two swallowed hard, their eyes blazing with an indescribable intensity.

Choosing to follow Professor Scamander was simply the most correct, wisest, and Merlin-blessed decision they had ever made in their lives!

Victor didn't disturb the twins, who were caught in a state of shock and ecstasy, and simply nodded to Tom on his shoulder.

Tom nimbly jumped down, then pulled out a white lab coat and gold-rimmed glasses from somewhere and expertly put them on.

Then, with a "snap," it pulled out a small clipboard from somewhere and returned to its familiar spot next to Viktor.

Then several faintly glowing observation crystals floated in front of him.

He is using his extraordinary senses, which surpass those of an ordinary cat, and his contractual connection with Viktor to help monitor the magical stability at several key points.

Every now and then, it would lightly tap the air with its claws to adjust the brightness of a particular rune.

His expression was serious to the point of being solemn, and his beard trembled slightly with the subtle changes in the flow of magic, making him look like an experienced deputy. At this moment, the twins finally recovered slightly from their initial shock.

But his eyes were still darting around as if he couldn't take it all in, his face full of expressions that said, "I want to touch it," "What is that?" and "This thing must be very expensive."

"Welcome to my mobile laboratory, Ark." Viktor's voice rang out clearly in the empty laboratory, tinged with a hint of pride.

"Everything here is designed for efficient, safe, and precise magical research and alchemical experiments. You will gradually become familiar with it."

He walked to the central experimental table and placed the red and white box he had just completed on the specially made fixture.

"Now, before I officially begin explaining what your future work and studies will entail, I need to complete the final debugging step of this little thing."

As he spoke, he gestured for Tom to take his place.

Tom immediately jumped onto the special soft pad on the side of the experimental table, his little paws making virtual taps in the air, and the monitoring runes at several key nodes lit up faintly.

Victor then picked up a specially made magic stylus with tiny sapphires inlaid at the tip, held his breath, and gently touched the tip of the stylus to an extremely small, almost invisible interface on the side of the red and white box.

He closed his eyes, and magic flowed smoothly through the stylus, his consciousness sinking into the magic circle inside the box.

He was performing the final system "wake-up" and connecting the basic logic chain.

The twins held their breath, their eyes fixed on Victor's hands and the mysterious box.

The only sounds in the laboratory were the soft hum of the instruments and the subtle tinkling of magic flowing through a crystal forest.

About a minute later.

Victor opened his eyes and put away the stylus.

Almost simultaneously, the pitch-black screen on the front of the red and white box suddenly lit up!

It wasn't a blinding light, but a soft, milky-white halo with a pixelated texture.

Immediately afterwards, a light and rhythmic electronic sound effect rang out, sounding particularly novel in the laboratory filled with the atmosphere of technology and magic.

Accompanied by sound effects, a cute little Niffler made up of simple pixels suddenly "jumps" out from the bottom of the screen in the center!

It wiggled its round body, blinked its two little eyes, and then struck a smug pose with its paws on its hips.

Above the Niffler image, several whimsical magical characters, also composed of pixels, emerge and shimmer with a faint light.

The twins involuntarily took a step forward, and George exclaimed, "Cool!"

Fred stared at the lifelike pixelated Sniff.

"It moved! How did it do that? Is it image magic? Or some kind of advanced magical projection?"

Victor did not answer immediately, but instead reached out and operated several buttons on the red and white box.

The screen then changed, displaying several simple menu options: [New Adventure], [Encyclopedia], and [Backpack].

[Friends], [Settings]

The font is clear, and although the interface is retro, the logic is immediately apparent.

"This is not a simple portrait or image," Viktor finally spoke, picking up what he temporarily called the "Pokémon Pokédex."

The equipment.

"It is an interactive medium for magical contracts, a learning tool, and — a partner summoner."

He looked at the twins, his eyes sparkling with the light of an inventor sharing their achievement.
