As the moon rises, the daytime hustle and bustle subsides, casting a tranquil glow upon the scene.

Several houses were lit up, dotting the night sky of the ice city. Patrol guards held torches, looking relaxed, and hummed softly the songs of the evening breeze.

An inconspicuous room, a pair of eyes peering through the gap in the curtains, a hoarse voice speaking intermittently.

"I warned them not to alert the enemy."

"She hasn't left Harbin since she met you. Doesn't that prove anything?"

In the pitch-black room, the only sound was the footsteps of another person.

A clear, ethereal voice echoed, "So what if we know? We've already proven that murder solves nothing. Whether we like it or not, the problem is there, and we have to correct our mistakes!"

Those eyes snapped back to her. "Fine, I knew it all along. You were never on our side."

"I can't explain it to you clearly."

"You don't need to tell me, the investigation is already complete. Oswald is indeed seriously injured. Tonight is our best chance..."

At the same moment, on an empty street less than fifty meters apart, Eleanor and Jenny finally had a space to talk alone.

The two walked side by side. The medical department where Jenny was currently staying was not far from the Duke's mansion, so Eileen did not hesitate at all and got straight to the point.

"Tell me, is there any possibility that the Duke's health will recover?"

The moonlight reflected in Jenny's emerald green pupils, shimmering slightly and revealing a lingering sadness.

"The body can recover... but the magic of immortality is very difficult to remove."

Elena stopped, her crimson gaze chillingly cold. "Besides that, what else are you hiding?"

"You don't need to look at me like that. Speaking of hiding things, it's the two of you who have hidden too much from me."

Jenny stopped and lowered her hood. She clearly remembered the lightning spell that swept across the sky, but if Oswald was really a magician, he wouldn't have been tormented by the magic of immortality like this.

Of course, if someone can deeply understand nature, they can indeed unleash such power.

But the magic circle on the clouds couldn't lie; she was absolutely certain that Oswald had activated the magic at that instant.

Moreover, Elena has quite a few secrets of her own, but Jenny hasn't been able to find any concrete evidence yet.

After a moment of silence, the two continued walking forward in sync.

Arguing was pointless; both of them desperately wanted Oswald to recover. Compared to Elena's complicated thoughts, Jenny simply admired Oswald's sense of responsibility and didn't want the Northern Territory to lose such an excellent lord.

When commoners talk about nobles, they either say that a certain nobleman has abducted someone's daughter, or that a certain nobleman has come out to bully and dominate the market.

Only Oswald seemed to be known by all the residents of the Ice City. One said that he had dug sewers with the Duke, another said that he had moved the same stone with the Duke, and they even remembered exactly where that stone was finally placed in the city wall.

"He's a very good person," Jennifer exclaimed unexpectedly.

Elena remained unfazed and replied in a second, "I know better than you do."

"No... what kind of attitude is this?" Jenny immediately lost the desire to talk to Alini and quickened her pace toward the medical department not far ahead.

"etc."

As if sensing something, Eileen quickly stepped forward, grabbed Jenny's hand, and pulled her closer to her.

"What's wrong?" Jenny asked, immediately becoming alert when she saw Alene staring intently at her surroundings with a serious expression.

"There's a bloody smell, and it's very close to us."

Elena's nose twitched slightly, and just as she found a direction, the piercing whistle briefly swept across the night sky and stopped abruptly.

"Go back to the medical ward and hide there. Make sure the doors and windows are closed."

After confirming that the danger was in another direction, Elena pulled out the dagger from under her skirt and disappeared like a shadow, leaving Jenny behind.

Outside the Marquis's mansion, dozens of guards lay dead in pools of blood. After kicking away the bone whistle covered in blood blisters, the men in black immediately took action. More than twenty men remained to guard the outer perimeter, while a seven-man squad headed for the city gate. The two leaders rushed straight into the Marquis's mansion.

However, the next second, police whistles sounded one after another in the city, and at the end of the dimly lit street, the sound of uniform armor trembled, startling the men in black who all turned around.

One torch after another lit up, dispelling the darkness and illuminating the tall and imposing rows of knights.

As the last bit of darkness dissipated, a figure more dazzling than the flickering firelight slowly emerged, surrounded by knights.

Elena threw her dagger, and the head of the black-clad man standing on the outermost edge instantly fell off, and he collapsed to the ground with a thud.

Immediately afterwards, the two knights knelt on one knee, one on the left and one on the right, raising their long swords high.

Grasp the hilt and draw both swords.

Throughout the entire ordeal, Elene remained completely expressionless. She strolled forward leisurely, while the man in the night swiftly attacked, only to be cleaved in two by a flash of light that appeared out of nowhere.

Blood splattered in the air, the moonlight was desolate, and the wind howled and sang.

Those who witnessed this scene in the darkness all trembled violently. The Northern Territory... truly is a place where dragons and tigers dwell!

"There's no turning back, let's go together!"

One after another, dark figures swept past, each one exceptionally skilled. In the blink of an eye, they attacked Eline, but Eline ignored them and continued walking.

She walked slowly, but if you looked up, you could see countless swords flashing and sparks flying from the pale moonlight.

With each breath, blood sprayed everywhere, swords fell to the ground, and flesh shattered.

The men in the darkness fell one after another to the eerie flash of the blade. It was fast, too fast. Their arms and heads began to disintegrate without warning. Even as their bodies crashed to the ground, their consciousness continued to linger on the fighting from seconds before.

When Elena stepped out of the blood mist, there were corpses all around her. She shook her long hair, and a streak of blood appeared on her bright red hair.

"My lord, it's a royal assassin!" Standing amidst the chilling pool of blood, the knight suppressed his nausea, flipped open the lining of the corpse, and quickly confirmed the identity of the man from the night.

"No need to make a fuss, just surround the Marquis's mansion." Elena nodded, gazing at the Marquis's mansion, which was already lit up but remained completely still.

"Yes, sir!"

The knights obeyed the order and, with open fire and weapons, blocked all the roads around the Marquis's mansion.

With such a commotion, Red was naturally furious. Squads of cavalry rushed out of the military camp and quickly took over the city's defenses.

When Red arrived at the scene, he was first startled by the corpses scattered on the ground, then silently looked at Eline, whose double blades were gleaming with blood.

She's a civil servant, right...?

With a creak, the Marquis's mansion gates opened, and Reid, recognizing the newcomer, exclaimed, "It's a metal puppet!"

Indeed, what appeared before them was not a person at all, but a humanoid creature wielding a large shield and broadsword, its entire body made of gold.

"You've been hiding your true strength!" the golden golem rasped, defiantly striking its shield with its broadsword, already poised for battle.

"Hiding behind something like that, you're nothing but a shadowy rat."

Elene's eyes grew colder and colder. She slowly turned the hilt of her sword, and in a flash, Elene moved like an arrow, slashing out with both swords at the same time, suddenly appearing in front of the golden puppet.

"What?!"

The golden golem immediately raised its shield to block, but was still sent flying by the heavy force, crashing into several decorative tables in the living room with a loud bang.

In the blink of an eye, Elene had already reached the puppet, her incredibly sharp blade slashing into its head, sending sparks flying.

Hearing the commotion inside, Red awkwardly wiped his face, as if with his abilities, he probably might not be able to participate in such a battle.

Despite his embarrassment, he didn't forget to try and make himself feel involved.

"Oh, send more people. We can't let anyone escape."

"Yes, Commander!"

As the two were talking, a small figure walked slowly by, clearly heading towards the Marquis's mansion.

"Wait! Who are you...?" Red shouted angrily, trying to stop the person, but unexpectedly met a pair of emerald green eyes.

"Nun? What are you doing here? It's too dangerous here, you mustn't go in."

Jenny shook her head. "I sensed traces of large-scale magic fluctuations. You can't help, so I have to go myself."

Having said that, Jenny didn't wait for Red's reply and turned to enter the Marquis's mansion.

Inside the Marquis's mansion, the battle continued. Elene was overwhelming the golden puppet, leaving it utterly helpless. If the puppet hadn't been able to regenerate its body as quickly as liquid gold, it would probably have been cut into countless pieces long ago.

Even so, the puppet's energy was being consumed rapidly, and it wouldn't last much longer.

Once again, the golden golem was slashed and knocked to the ground in a sorry state. Enraged, it shouted towards the second floor, "Aren't you done yet?! What are you doing?!"

In the room on the second floor, the silver golem draped in a long robe finally finished drawing the magic circle on the floor, and next to it was Annie, who was clutching her chest and breathing heavily.

Upon hearing the urging voice, the silver puppet's ethereal voice rang out.

"Don't hesitate. This teleportation array can only allow you to escape from here alone. Don't worry about your family; Oswald won't make things difficult for them."

"Let me think about it some more, let me think about it some more..."

It's no wonder Annie hesitated; she genuinely couldn't trust Oswald's character. In her eyes, Oswald was a heartless scoundrel.

"Anyway, we're just controlling puppets now. Success or failure doesn't mean we'll lose anything. It's your decision. Once you've decided, step into the magic circle."

After finishing speaking, the silver puppet walked out of the room and slammed the door shut.

As it descended the stairs, the silver puppet faced Elene's sharp gaze. It paused for a moment before beginning to cast its magic.

Elena repelled the golden puppet, then with a whoosh, she swung her sword through the air and, raising her twin blades high, closed in on the silver puppet.

"Holy Light Cage!"

At the critical moment, magic was activated in time, and beams of light flowed from the silver golem's palm, encircling and trapping Elene inside.

As the twin blades were swung down, the cage merely trembled with light, showing no sign of dissipating.

The golden golem couldn't miss this opportunity. It immediately stood up, threw away its already shattered shield, gripped its broadsword tightly, and roared as it thrust at Elene.

"The Holy Light Spear!"

In the midst of the chaos, Jenny suddenly appeared, unleashing beams of light that blasted the golden golem away like a barrage of spears.

"Words of no mercy!" Her long robes billowed without wind, revealing Jenny's beautiful long green hair, showcasing her mastery of the goddess's magic to the fullest.

As soon as the words were spoken, the cage of holy light suddenly collapsed, and Elene's eyes flashed red. In an instant, a surge of sword light erupted, slicing the silver puppet into a pool of silver liquid.

With a light laugh, she wiped the silver liquid from her cheek, and Elena turned the hilt of her knife again, her voice as cold as ever, "It's two against two."
