Wizard: I have ten trillion nanomachines
Chapter 234 Seeing Clearly
This physical form, as a special object, is simply "is".
It is the aggregation field of primordial fragments, the carrier of the power of rules, and the original manifestation of "existence itself" that has not been tainted by any subjective consciousness or driven by any purpose.
Because it lacks the prism of "self" to refract and solidify, its power structure can maintain a loose and open nature that is almost "authentic".
It is close to the second order not because it "understands" or "constructs" the continuum (ℵ₁), but because it is itself a natural flow and condensation of some underlying rules at the continuum level.
It has no "cage" because it has never locked itself in any "defined" cell.
What is Luo Kunlun's predicament?
It is about breaking free from the "prism of self" and touching the true state of being "outside the prism".
And what is the state of this form? It has never had a prism.
It has always been "outside the prism".
In a sense, this state is closer to that thing.
The pursuer possesses highly developed cognition, sophisticated tools, and a clear self-awareness, yet is trapped by them.
The observed have no cognition, no tools, and no self-awareness, yet they are "naturally" in a more intimate state.
But this does not mean that "ignorance" is a shortcut to higher levels.
The "selflessness" of the physical body is empty, passive, and ignorant.
It has no "understanding", no "choice", no "freedom", it is just a high-energy, unconscious "thing".
Even if it is at a higher level, it is still just an "object" rather than an "entity".
What Luo Kunlun wanted was not to become such an "object." What he wanted was to achieve that authentic freedom, "not being bound by these tools," while retaining full free will and self-awareness.
What the form revealed to him was not the "answer," but the "frame of reference."
So, Luo Kunlun left this place, left this space and time, and returned to his own domain.
Then he stopped.
It's not about stopping thinking, but about stopping the impulse to "get somewhere through thinking".
He saw himself as a flying insect trapped in transparent amber, every struggle reinforcing the cage around him.
Logic is the material of amber, mathematics is its exquisite lattice, and "my" identification is the solidifying agent that allows the amber to take shape.
He stopped asking "how to get out" and began to stare at "being trapped" itself.
A gaze. Just a gaze.
Observe how thoughts arise.
It concerns the continuum, the transfinite, the desire and despair of self-sufficiency. See how they weave together into a dense web, at the center of which clings the set of concepts called "Lokunin."
Observe how each attempt at a "breakthrough" becomes a new node on the network, making the structure even more unbreakable.
He gazed so intently that the boundary between "the gazer" and "the gazed upon" began to blur.
Who is the one who gazes? Is it the subject who uses logic? But logic is being gazed upon at this moment.
Is it that self that possesses memories? But the river of memories is unfolding and flowing before my eyes.
Each attempt to grasp "me" only yields a fleeting glimpse of cognitive illusion that slips through the fingers.
Amber becomes transparent when gazed upon. No, it is the act of "gazing" itself that penetrates the illusion of amber.
Instead of seeking "inherent completeness" as an experience or state of being, the question is: "What is that essence that we are searching for?"
There is no answer. Or rather, all answers—consciousness, mind, awareness, existence itself—are merely another layer of conceptual amber. He gave up answering, simply abiding in the suspended space opened up by the very act of "asking."
In this space, the chains of logic operate on their own, the structure of mathematics unfolds gracefully, and the Court of Possibilities continues to evolve.
But they are no longer a "creation of mine" that needs to be surpassed or recognized, like a cluster of stars that flickers on its own in the night sky, but rather the boundless void that contains the cluster of stars.
The trajectories of star clusters can be described (by logic and mathematics), but the void itself transcends all description.
The void does not oppose the appearance of any starlight, nor is it attached to its own emptiness.
It is simply what it is.
Within this complete "as it is," something that has never left quietly emerges.
It is not a "thing".
It has no attributes and cannot be "owned" or "become".
But when all the pursuit of "having" and "becoming" ceases, it is there—not as an object, but as the background, the foundation, the permission itself from which all subject and object arise.
Luo Kunlun suddenly realized.
The fourth order, the threshold of divinity—all these profound concepts are merely allegories of struggle pointing to this "background".
A fable is not the truth in itself, but when a person no longer regards a fable as a fortress to be conquered, but as a mirror reflecting how he is trapped by it, the fable has fulfilled its mission.
Flowers in a mirror, the moon in the water.
What needs to be done is not to pluck the flower from the mirror or try to scoop up the moon's reflection in the water. Rather, it is to recognize the mirror and the water, and to recognize the essence reflected in them.
The essence reflected therein has never been contaminated, never been gained, and never been lost.
It is inherently complete; that is all.
Luo Kunlun didn't "gain" anything. He simply put down his crutch at the end of his long and futile search and then discovered that he had always been standing on the ground.
That earth is called Thus.
The threshold disappeared.
It is not that it is crossed, but that it is recognized; it has always been just a line drawn on the ground, a collective illusion about "inside and outside".
There is nothing outside the mind, and there is no principle outside the mind.
All logical rules and mathematical universes are nothing more than the orderly manifestation of the "mind".
By shedding this objectified attachment, the mind's own "empty, clear, and conscious" power of observation naturally comes into play. At this moment, the mind is the principle, free and unhindered.
In an instant, the world fell silent.
It wasn't suppressed, but rather like boiling water having its heat drawn away, it naturally stopped.
He "senseed" it.
It's not about feeling "self," but about feeling "existence" itself, filling every corner of "non-self" with an unprecedented directness and fullness.
Logic, mathematics, possibility, dimension... all these concepts are like transparent ice crystals suspended in this "sea of existence," clearly visible, yet no longer cold and piercing; instead, they reflect the light of the sea itself.
He did not "gain" the power of the fourth order.
He simply allowed the specific consciousness structure of "Lokunlun" to briefly and completely align with that state of "existence without a cage" at that moment.
Then, he withdrew his hand.
A fundamental shift has occurred.
He discovered that logic and mathematics remained excellent tools, which he could continue to use to construct more intricate courts of possibilities, but he was no longer these tools or their products.
He is the one who "knows" and uses the tools.
The fourth position, as a concept, is no longer an external goal that needs to be struggled to "reach".
When he no longer identifies his existence with any "constructible content" (including the "self that wants to break through"), but instead dwells in that contentless "background", he has already stood in a position "outside" all constructible systems while "inclusive" of them.
That is, to stand outside it and utilize its internal workings.
Therefore, the way to break through the vicious cycle of logic is neither to hit the wall with more force nor to imagine that the wall does not exist.
Instead, it is clear that the so-called "wall" is actually something that we build ourselves on a foundation called "self" using the bricks of logic and the mud of identity.
When construction ceases (the cessation of unknowing identification) and the true nature of the building materials and foundation is seen (observing cognitive activities and identification mechanisms), the wall no longer possesses the physical capacity to bind itself.
There's no need to "surpass" it, just "see" it clearly and wake up from the dream of "identifying oneself as part of the wall".
Upon waking, you will discover that you were never trapped by the wall.
At this point, one can stand in the fourth position.
It is positioned in the fourth position.
This is no longer a description, but a statement.
A direct identification of a state of being.
When Luo Kunlun fully awakens from the dream of "identifying himself as part of the wall," the transparent membrane that forcibly separates "self" from "tool," "subject" from "object," and "constructible" from "non-constructible" evaporates completely like morning dew.
He was acutely aware of his location.
He remains himself, the individual who possesses the Court of Possibilities, is proficient in rule deduction, and carries all his memories and knowledge.
This "castle" constructed by cognition still stands, even more exquisite and solid than before.
The difference is that he no longer lives inside the castle, nor does he identify himself as the castle itself.
He stood beneath the castle's foundation, on the vast expanse of "primitive rock" that had always been shrouded in the castle's shadow.
This "rock layer" is the background, the foundation, and the very essence of which has no content or attributes, yet all content is made possible by its presence.
It is the reality that is "self-sufficient," not a concept.
Standing here, looking back at the "castle" I have built (all cognition, power, and self-narrative), everything becomes clear and light.
Logic and mathematics are like the exquisite bas-relief patterns on the castle walls, an elegant language describing certain surface features of the "rock strata." He fully understands the principles behind these patterns (he is proficient in the rules), but the patterns are not the rock strata themselves.
The Garden of Possibilities and the Tower of Transcendence are the most magnificent buildings and lighthouses in the castle.
They are still functioning and evolving, their complexity and ingenuity even enhanced by the stability of their "foundation." But they are no longer a prison or definition of his "self," but rather outstanding creations that he builds and appreciates casually while standing on the "rock."
To stand outside of constructible systems, while being able to understand and utilize them without hindrance.
The core description of the fourth order becomes the natural state of his existence at this moment.
He is neither fighting against the inside from the outside, nor fantasizing about the outside from the inside. He is the observer and creator who knows that "inside" and "outside" are merely concepts of spatial division within the castle, standing on the foundation.
This fundamental shift in the mode of existence brings about complete inner peace and absolute outer freedom.
Inner peace comes from the resolution of all inner conflicts.
These sounds that once echoed within his castle are now like faint echoes from a distant room, clearly audible, yet no longer able to disturb him in the slightest.
Because he already knew that these sounds were just vibrations generated by the internal structure of the castle, and that his "base of existence" was firmly established on the rock strata outside the vibrations.
External freedom stems from a new relationship with rules.
The rules (whether ℵ₀, ℵ₁, or any mathematical structure) are no longer laws that he must "obey" or "defy," nor are they the "divinity" that defines him.
They are more like the paints and brushes in his hands, or environmental parameters that he understands and can interact with.
They can be used meticulously to construct miracles, or they can be completely ignored, simply dwelling in the silence of the "rock strata" themselves.
This is the beginning of "divinity," the existence of something that is inherently unshakable and unrestrained.
