Wizard: I have ten trillion nanomachines

Chapter 113 White Tower Merchant Ship

At noon on October 11th, in the South Abyss Sea, the sea was calm and the sunlight shone on the sparkling surface, reflecting a dazzling light.

A huge ironclad ship cut through the waves. Its hull was black, and its hold was filled with sealed cargo boxes. Several sailors were standing beside the cargo boxes, quietly counting the goods.

"Respected Wizard Pulan, the main island of the Thorns of Death School is not far ahead."

On the deck, Captain Sau respectfully approached a middle-aged man dressed in a red wizard's robe and bowed to report.

This wizard, Pram, was the plenipotentiary representative sent by the White Tower forces to oversee all trade matters on the ship. His calm demeanor and the subtle magical fluctuations emanating from him clearly indicated his status as a formal wizard.

Pran nodded slightly, his gaze fixed on the outline of the islands on the distant horizon, his fingertips unconsciously tapping the gunwale: "Talos... a rare necromancer."

On the other side, on the main island.

Luo Kunlun opened his eyes, looked into the distance, and saw the merchant ship.

It was a steel structure comparable to a giant ocean liner.

A merchant ship from a faction called the White Tower on the southern continent.

The White Tower is one of the top powers in the Southern Continent, controlling a vast trade network. It frequently travels across oceans to trade with islands within the Southern Continent's sphere of influence and even the Wizarding Continent. This merchant ship is just one of them.

Because of the Soul Snail potion and some unique materials found on the archipelago, the archipelago has been included in the trade scope since eight years ago.

The island's wizards sell potions and unique materials in exchange for magic stones and other resources, while merchant ships also profit from this.

The ironclad ship quickly approached the main island; however, the sailors on deck gradually frowned, their expressions instantly replaced by solemnity.

"Captain, something's wrong!" a lookout shouted. "What...what happened to the island like this?"

The main island of the Thorns of Death was once shrouded in deathly aura, with wandering undead creatures everywhere. The eerie and oppressive atmosphere made them feel like they had a thorn in their side every time they traded, and they wished they could escape immediately.

What greets the eye now is a scene of utter devastation and ruins.

The ground was crisscrossed with ravines, and the foundation of the remaining wizard tower was charred and cracked. The once pervasive death aura had vanished, replaced by the desolation and silence of the war.

This scene is far more chilling than the usual eeriness.

Just as everyone was filled with doubt and uncertainty, a dark figure sped from the direction of the main island, moving with lightning speed. In an instant, it hovered in mid-air in front of the ironclad ship. It was Luo Kunlun, who had transformed into human form.

"Can you hear the caravan from the White Tower?"

"I have destroyed the School of Death's Thorns. If you wish to make a deal, come with me to Black Earth Island."

Talos and his forces were wiped out?

"Such formidable strength!"

Upon hearing this, Pulan was secretly alarmed. So, the ruins of the main island were traces of their fierce battle.

The unknown wizard before them must be incredibly powerful to have killed a full-fledged wizard, especially a necromancer with an undead army.

After weighing the pros and cons, Pulan suppressed his doubts and ordered Captain Sau: "Do as he says, sail the ship to Black Earth Island."

His primary task on this trip was to oversee trade, not to rashly antagonize a legitimate wizard of unknown strength.

Regardless of who owns the islands, as long as trade and the supply of potions continue, that is enough for the White Tower.

"Yes!" Sau didn't dare to delay and immediately ordered a course adjustment. The ironclad ship slowly turned and headed towards Black Soil Island.

Two hours later, the armored ship arrived at Black Soil Island.

Unlike the desolation of the main island, the environment here is quite nice, with a brand-new, flat and wide pier standing on the coast, large enough to accommodate this giant ship.

This was built by Lokunlun specifically for trade, and it took him a whole day to complete.

As the anchor was lowered, the ironclad ship came to a steady stop at the dock, and then a metallic scraping and clanging sound came from inside the ship.

A moment later, one side of the ship's side slowly opened, and a silver-white staircase slowly extended out, resting steadily on the dock, gleaming with a cold metallic luster.

"This place may be small, but the environment is quite nice." Several sailors were the first to walk down the steps, breathing in the fresh air of Black Soil Island.

Compared to the desolation of the main island, the climate here is pleasant, and the air is filled with the salty, damp scent of the sea, without any of the oppressive feeling of the main island.

Just then, Luo Kunlun's figure reappeared in mid-air, hovering above the dock, calmly watching the people disembarking from the ship.

"That must be the new master of the archipelago." The crew members and accompanying merchants on the ship already understood, and they all lowered their heads, not daring to look directly into Luo Kunlun's eyes.

This is a legitimate wizard; you can't afford to offend him, or you'll be left to your own devices if something goes wrong.

Aside from that, it doesn't matter who owns the islands; what matters is that trade can continue and profits can be made.

This place was originally unclaimed land, previously occupied only by a small number of wizards in the form of families.

Later, Talos led his people here and, with the power of a formal wizard, incorporated those small families, establishing the Thorns of Death School.

The change of leadership is merely another change of power in this sea area.

Pulan straightened his red wizard's robes, stepped down the steel steps, and bowed slightly to Lokunlun in mid-air. His tone was somewhat tentative as he said, "Pulan of the White Tower greets Your Excellency. May I ask how you are addressed?"

Luo Kunlun slowly descended to the ground, standing opposite Pulan, and said calmly, "Just call me Luo."

"Black Soil Island has prepared the goods, Soul Snail Potions, and raw materials."

Without much small talk, we got straight to the point.

For him, trading with the White Tower was merely a channel for acquiring magic stones and rare resources.

Upon hearing this, a hint of relief flashed in Pulan's eyes.

His biggest concern was the disruption of trade, but now it seems that the new owner is also willing to continue the cooperation.

At the same time, the other party also learned how that drug was produced.

"Witch Luo," Pulan said with a smile, "The White Tower has always valued its reputation. As long as you can guarantee the quality and supply of the goods, we are willing to offer even more favorable terms than before."

No force would give up a potion that can increase mental strength.

A spirit-boosting potion, especially one that can be produced consistently and is quite effective, can bring considerable benefits to the White Tower.

Besides that, there is another reason, which is strength.

Both Talos in the past and Lokunlun in the present are formal wizards, and neither of them are weak.

The premise of any trade is equal strength. In the Wizarding World, you can only trade if you have the strength. If you don't, it's a dog-eat-dog world where the winner takes all.
