It was 1:50 a.m., and the five-person mission team was standing on the rooftop of a tall building on the second street in the eastern part of the city.

Five black dots flew from the direction of the academy and quickly dispersed to various areas of the town. One of the black dots was speeding towards Dago and his group.

As time passed, the black dot gradually approached and grew larger, until a ten-meter-long airship slowly came into view.

The crowd watched silently as the third street lay not far away. A blood-red membrane, tens of meters in diameter, stretched from the fifth building to the first floor, obscuring the view inside.

All that could be heard were the occasional, sharp, and piercing roars of groups of blood slaves.

Ed took out his pocket watch and glanced at it. It was exactly two o'clock. The airship's magical bombardment was about to begin.

The airship descended to a height of more than ten meters above the Second Street, and a large number of energy particles gathered at the muzzle below. The wizard on board also began chanting incantations.

"Boom boom..." The fireballs condensed at the muzzle of the airship's cannons were a meter in diameter, and they slammed into the blood-red membrane, creating huge ripples.

Following closely behind were all sorts of dazzling sorcery, which stirred up countless tiny ripples on the blood-red membrane. After about two minutes, some scattered balls of sorcery energy shot out from the blood membrane and began a sorcery exchange with the airship.

At the fifth minute, the crimson membrane finally succumbed to the fierce bombardment of the airship and shattered, revealing a hellish scene of blood and bones before everyone's eyes.

Blood slaves roamed the field of vision, and the wailing of spirits seemed to echo in the air, instantly turning the atmosphere eerie and terrifying.

A strong stench of blood and decay wafted from Third Street. Large piles of white bones lay on the street, and blood smeared the houses and the ground, covered with tiny, mushroom-sized blood clots.

The fifth house on the third street resembled a blood tree, with dozens of large blood cocoons hanging from its crimson branches, which were connected to the surrounding houses and were constantly pulsating.

On the rooftops of Third Street, a dozen black-robed wizards were casting spells on the airships floating in the air.

"What a bunch of beasts."

The leader, Wizard Ed, frowned, muttered a curse, and took out a bottle of psychic potion to drink.

The other wizards, like him, took out their psychic potions and swallowed them; it seemed the mission team's task was about to begin.

Dago's lips moved slightly, and a faint blue-purple light appeared in his eyes as he activated his detection spell and surveyed his surroundings.

His detection technique, which he had already upgraded to the Transformation level, not only reduced the casting time to less than one second, but also revealed a great deal more information and traces after casting.

In Dago's eyes, the Third Street had turned completely blood red, with a large number of negative energy particles filling and swirling around the entire street like mist.

Within this blood mist, bright crimson energy connects like blood vessels, eventually converging into the fifth house, where a faint tide of immense energy can be felt.

His face instantly turned grim. He wondered what might be lurking in this hellish Third Street, and felt a sense of unease.

However, the time had already reached the eighth minute, and the airship had already taken more than a dozen spells from the black-robed wizards upstairs, causing the fluorescent light of the protective shield to dim considerably.

But the third street was in no better shape; several houses were destroyed, the street was riddled with potholes, and black smoke was billowing from it.

However, the protective membrane that rose again from the fifth building blocked a large amount of damage to the airship and remained standing.

The airship ceased its magical bombardment, turned around, and ascended into the air, preparing to evacuate Second Street.

The black-robed wizards who fought back upstairs also suffered heavy losses, with five or six of them being shot down by the airship. Looking at the mess on the ground and the corpses of their comrades, their surging anger was felt even by Dago.

Two of the black-robed wizards suddenly levitated into the air, chasing the airship along the rooftops while unleashing spells at it.

The mission team jumped off the building and onto the third street. Stepping onto the gray brick street, the street was incredibly slippery with blood.

"Mission team, all hands on deck—launch assault on the blood pool in the fifth building."

Ed, with a stern expression, raised his wand above his head, his gaze fixed on the front of him, as if he could see through the black smoke to the fifth house on Third Street.

Covered in snow, the team members gripped their wands tightly, unleashing their spiritual power and chanting incantations. The energy winds billowed their robes, and the entire mission team waited quietly for Ed.

Once the two black-robed wizards who had been hovering and pursuing the airship were out of sight, Ed's stern face let out a slight growl: "Unleash the spell."

"boom----!!!!"

The massive ice crystal projectiles whistled as they streaked across the street, bringing with them a fierce gale that shook the collapsed buildings and sent countless streams of blood and bones flying as they struck the protective shield of the fifth building.

The ice crystal cannonball shattered into countless ice crystal snowflakes that drifted in the air, freezing many of the hanging blood cocoons.

The light from the building's protective shield dimmed almost instantly.

The group of people in the group turned to look at them, which also attracted the attention of a large number of blood slaves and black-robed wizards, who all gathered towards their group.

The academy wizard Raijon then unleashed his magic, and a spear of lightning gathered in front of him, striking the charging horde of blood slaves. Sparks flew everywhere, and many blood slaves were electrocuted and charred, falling straight to the ground.

Captain Ed unleashed a vortex of wind blades, creating several spinning wind blades, sharp as knives, that shredded the two approaching black-robed wizards into pieces.

Wilton cast a group protection spell, casting a protective shield around each member of the mission team, which could block two or three attacks from a high-level apprentice wizard.

The young wizard Herid unleashed the final spell, throwing a fireball the size of a head into the horde of blood slaves, burning several of them to ashes.

"call--"

Dago let out a breath; the Wilton Shield had blocked out much of the bloody smell and energy, making him feel much better.

The next second, he raised his ice crystal wand, and the air and light at its tip began to distort.

The large amount of ice elements gathered around created an invisible cold wind that blew the hem of Dago's robes, drawing everyone's attention.

A massive blue sphere, the size of several human heads, coalesced and was launched towards the horde of blood slaves.

"Boom!" As the blue orb exploded in the horde of blood slaves, a large number of them, who had been running, were frozen, fell to the ground, and shattered into dust.

This prompted the academy wizard Raijo to approach Dago with a displeased expression, and he said to him in a low voice with dissatisfaction, "What do you mean by this, kid? Are you trying to steal first place in team contribution from me?"

Dago ignored him completely, focusing only on recovering and preparing for the next spell.

The academy wizard Raijon, who was being completely ignored, was a little embarrassed, but with the blood slaves and several black-robed wizards gathered in front of him, he couldn't say anything more.

But they were, after all, a bunch of mindless zombies. Even with a few black-robed wizards with the strength of advanced apprentices following behind them, they couldn't cause any trouble in front of the mission team and were quickly slaughtered.

Soon, their mission team marched straight ahead down the street and reached the fifth house in the middle of the street.
