The dream of becoming a Pokémon master

Blaine led Kyosuke and his three Pokémon to a huge room next to the gym.

Half of it is on the ground, and half of it is not.

Where there is no ground, the lava is exposed and can be clearly seen flowing.

"My Pokémon usually train here," Blaine explained. "The biggest advantage of Fire and Ice types is that Ice has its limits while Fire has no limits, which is one of the reasons why I like Fire types."

No one who loves Pokémon would be willing to subject their Pokémon to dangerous experiments.

Four days passed quickly.

For four days, Kyosuke stayed with Charizard and Assassin in the room with all the fire-type enhancements, training with Blaine's Pokémon using Blaine's method.

Although Blaine suggested that Kyosuke could leave the space to the Pokémon and he could do it himself, Kyosuke still insisted on staying with them.

Meanwhile, Poison Sting Black Stone and Dragon were either playing or training outside.

Although Black Stone and Stinger said they should also go to that "mysterious house," Kyosuke stopped him.

The assassin has survived for many years and has developed a certain resistance to various anomalies. He also bears the heavy responsibility of dealing with Moltres. Kyosuke speculates that Moltres, like Articuno, possesses the ability to alter its environment, which is why the assassin is kept inside. Kyosuke doesn't want his Pokémon to suffer any lasting damage because of him.

Every day, Kyosuke would use his Pokémon to battle Blaine's true main force, but every time it was a crushing defeat. Kyosuke then realized that Growlithe had been holding back, but it just so happened to be defeated by an unknown reason.

After each training session, Kyosuke would use Blaine's special machine to test the flame temperature of Old Flamethrower and Ouji, and it was always steadily increasing.

Meanwhile, the assassin, amidst the flames and surrounded by a host of fire-type masters, successfully mastered the method of combining rolling and rock-type skills.

Despite only four days, all three Pokémon experienced amazing improvements.

However, even combined, they still couldn't defeat one of Blaine's main forces.

"So you should just give up. The legendary Pokémon aren't as simple as you think," Blaine said to Kyosuke, standing at the crater.

Kyosuke looked at Xia Bo, who was wearing the same wig as before. It was unclear how many sets he had bought.

"I know. But as a future Pokémon Master, I can't be afraid of challenges," Kyosuke replied.

Kyosuke's words reminded Natsume of his former fearless self.

I once wanted to challenge the legend, but before I could even meet it, time had worn down my edges.

Even if they encountered Moltres, all they could do was worship it.

I come to this place every month to take a look, but I don't do anything else.

Having been saved by the molten bird, how could I possibly challenge it?

"Just this once. Don't disturb it again." Blaine suddenly said to Kyosuke.

Kyosuke hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

Suddenly, the magma began to boil.

Kyosuke looked at the lava, but Blaine's Firebeast and Flamebeast weren't there. He looked up at the sky, and the night seemed even deeper.

"It's here," Kyosuke and Blaine said in unison.
