The dream of becoming a Pokémon master

3. The legendary Pokémon is actually Pikachu!

The lightning flashed, naturally drawing the attention of Kyosuke and Charmander.

Hmm, just ordinary lightning. The man and the dragon gave the sky a disdainful look, then started waiting idly for the rain to stop.

Another ray of light.

This time it's in color!

Kyosuke felt like he had grabbed something and suddenly rushed out of the tent. Charmander, though unaware of what had happened, thought it was amazing and followed him out.

"It's Ho-Oh!" Kyosuke exclaimed in the rain, following the colorful ribbon-like light. A large, brightly colored bird was flying overhead—undoubtedly Ho-Oh! After all, it was the main target of this operation!

"Since Ho-Oh really flew over Viridian Forest, does that mean the legend might be true? Maybe he came back to see his old flame and have a baby Ho-Oh next year?" Kyosuke became more and more excited as he thought about it, and his stomach got even hungrier.

Charmander was overjoyed to see Ho-Oh, after all, it was a fire-type legendary Pokémon! It even forgot it was raining. Charmander would die if the flame on its tail went out.

It wasn't until the Blaze ability was triggered that Kyosuke realized Charmander was running out of stamina.

It was only then that Kyosuke realized that he not only had no food, but also no map, and that he was terrible with directions.

"I have to stay calm right now. Even though I'm just a ten-year-old, I can still save the world! Right now, I just need to save Firefly and myself, it's that simple!" Kyosuke started nervously muttering to himself. "First, I need to trap Firefly in the Poké Ball, then carefully determine the direction. Okay, how can I do that?! At this point, I should do my usual superstitious thing... Head towards Ho-Oh! Ho-Oh always brings happiness to people! That's decided!"

Make a decision easily and start implementing it immediately. First, put Charmander into a Poké Ball, then put the tent into your bag, carefully try to identify Ho-Oh's direction, and head forward at full speed.

.........

With Kyosuke's powerful physique as the strongest rookie in this competition, his speed is definitely much faster than that of an ordinary cyclist.

After running and asking for directions, Kyosuke finally arrived at the Viridian Pokémon Center.

"Miss Nurse Joy! Please help my Charmander, he got sick from being in the rain." Kyosuke solemnly handed Charmander's Poké Ball to Miss Nurse Joy.

"Don't worry, he'll get better soon." Miss Joey gave Kyosuke a sweet smile.

Finally relieved, Kyosuke casually found a spot to sit down and rest.

"It's good that Little Fire is alright. Pokémon Centers are such an absurd thing. But it's my first time traveling, so I'm still too inexperienced. Just watching videos isn't enough to be so fearless. Right now, I need to replenish a lot of food and a map... no, I can't understand the map. Ah! What should I do? Do I need a human guide? Or maybe I should just forget it. Traveling by chance is quite interesting."

Just then, a boy rushed in, shouting, "Whoever it is, please save my Pikachu!"

A familiar voice interrupted Kyosuke's thoughts. He turned around and said, "It really is Ash. The one he's holding is the legendary Oak, no, the Father's Love Special Edition starter Pokémon. A Pikachu?"

However, upon closer inspection, the Pikachu in his arms was covered in wounds. Although Kyosuke had been grumpy with Chimchar before, that was only because he was a tsundere. When it comes to love for Pokémon, only Ash can rival him.

Just as he got up to teach Ash a lesson and hand Pikachu over to Nurse Joy, an energetic girl with short orange hair walked in carrying a lump of charcoal, once again attracting Kyosuke's attention.

After all, Kyosuke is still a child!

"Are you an idiot! Hand Pikachu over to Nurse Joy right now!" The energetic girl had a clear goal. From the moment she entered, she went straight for Ash, snatched Pikachu from his arms, and handed it to Nurse Joy.

"This Pikachu... is badly injured!" Nurse Joy took the Pikachu and looked at it, then said to Ash in a reproachful tone, "Luckily it was brought in in time, otherwise..." She ran towards the emergency room as she spoke.

Hearing this, Ash was completely flustered and plopped down on the ground. The girl, however, walked over and patted him on the shoulder reassuringly, "Don't worry, Nurse Joy will heal Pikachu."

"Thank you, Xiaoxia," Xiaozhi said, touched.

"But don't forget about my bicycle," Xiaoxia said fiercely.

On the other side, Kyosuke had already silently returned to his seat: "Xiaoxia, what a fitting name. As dazzling and radiant as the morning sun. But Ash, you've been corrupted by beauty on your very first day. What right do you have to be my opponent on the path to mastery?"

Thinking about this, Kyosuke suddenly felt a sense of unease: "After all these years, Ash has never interacted with any girls, and his only friends are me and Gary. Today, he got his starter Pokémon and is already getting along famously with a cute girl. He's neither rich nor handsome enough (I'm a 100/50 for looks, Ash is a 50/100). Is it really because of that legendary Pokémon, Pikachu? Is it the only Pokémon in the world with the 'lucky in love' ability?!"

As he pondered this, Kyosuke suddenly felt a pang of pain in his heart, but he quickly rallied: "The path of a true master is destined to be lonely; solitude makes one grow. Just wait, Satoshi. When you're surrounded by beauties in the future, I wonder if you'll still remember your original goal!"

Of course, Xiao Zhi is still a child and doesn't usually go online, so he naturally doesn't understand things like beauty, no matter how many years later...

Kyosuke decides to observe Satoshi secretly, wondering if he still has the potential to become his lifelong rival.

Then we saw Ash go and make a phone call to Professor Oak.

Looking at the doctor in the picture, smiling as brightly as a chrysanthemum, and then thinking about his usual serious demeanor in their interactions, Kyosuke dared not imagine any further.

But... Ash also saw Ho-Oh?

Ho-Oh really did appear. It seems like Viridian Forest is going to be a long and arduous battle.

Let's stay for a month! We'll train Caterpie and Spearow, who have inherited the legendary Pokémon's legacy, well!

Kyosuke nodded. He then prepared to return to his room to rest and check the internet for news related to Ho-Oh's appearance that day.

Of course, it'll be done secretly; I can't let that silly little Zhi find out. I'm already exhausted from traveling alone; I can't bring this little burden along!

We also need to carefully consider the strengthening plan for Little Fire. It's a disgrace for a Fire-type Pokémon to catch a cold after being caught in the rain!

Kyosuke quietly left the stage.

.........

"As expected of the Pokémon Center, the internet speed is really fast, hehehe." Kyosuke searched for information about Ho-Oh on his computer in the room, occasionally letting out a strange laugh.

"Ho-Oh appears in Viridian Forest, well, it's a pity there's no picture, so nobody believes it."

"My first legendary Pokémon, Ho-Oh (with pictures)," I don't know how the ferocious Finch could tolerate this low-budget cosplay outfit.

"Encountering a Dream? My friend, isn't that an underdeveloped Ditto?!"

"Looks like I'll have to stay up all night looking for information tonight. I don't want to stay up all night, staying up all night will make me go bald. No, wait, I won't go bald," Kyosuke complained.

Then the power went out. The data hadn't been saved yet.

"Are you really disrespecting me?!"
