It's just a toy, why would you care if it breaks?
Chapter 26 Private Jet
The hotel breakfast was delivered to the room at 7:30 a.m. the next morning.
Wei Xun and Nan Yan had just finished eating when there was a knock on the door.
"Mr. Wei, this is Qinglin."
The female assistant, Qinglin, was still dressed in a smart business suit, followed by a driver in a black suit.
"Mr. Wei, the car is waiting downstairs. I'll pack your luggage."
"Okay." Wei Xun stepped aside to let them in, pointing to the pile of packaging bags in the living room: "Pack them all up and ship them directly to the plane." "Okay." The driver immediately started packing the luggage.
Qinglin then turned to Nanyan with a polite smile: "Good morning, Young Master Nanyan."
Nan Yan was stunned for a moment, then subconsciously shrank back, looking at Wei Xun with unease in her eyes: "I am not the young master."
Seeing his flustered appearance, Wei Xun curled his lips into a smile: "Just call him that, it suits you."
Qinglin smiled as well: "Young Master Nanyan, we've met before. My name is Qinglin, and I'm Mr. Wei's assistant. If you need anything in the future, feel free to let me know."
Nan Yan lowered her head, her fingers secretly clenching the hem of her clothes.
He had never been addressed like that before, and it felt somewhat unfamiliar and uncomfortable.
The driver worked quickly, packing all the luggage in just over ten minutes and sorting it into different categories.
Wei Xun glanced at the time and said to Nan Yan, "Let's go, it's time to go to the airport."
Nan Yan nodded and followed Wei Xun outside.
As he reached the door, he suddenly remembered something, glanced back at the white kitten plush toy on the bedside table, quickly ran over, picked it up, and clutched it tightly in his hand.
"Take it." Wei Xun looked at him with a smile in his eyes.
As they took the elevator downstairs, Nan Yan couldn't help but ask, "Sir, do we have to queue to fly? I saw on TV that there are so many people queuing together and going through security."
"We don't need to queue," Wei Xun said casually, leaning against the elevator wall. "We're on a private jet."
"A private jet?" Nan Yan's eyes widened in shock. "Is the whole plane yours?"
"Yes." Wei Xun nodded, "It was a plane with only a few of us on it."
"How big is the plane? Are you flying it? Is there food on the plane?" Nan Yan asked a series of questions, her eyes full of curiosity and nervousness.
Wei Xun smiled and patiently answered each question.
As they were talking, the elevator arrived at the lobby on the first floor.
The branch manager, along with several department heads, was already waiting in the lobby. Upon seeing Wei Xun emerge, they immediately greeted him: "Mr. Wei, have a safe trip."
The manager held several exquisite gift boxes and handed them to Wei Xun: "These are some local specialties from our city. Please take them back and share them with Mr. and Mrs. Wei."
Wei Xun accepted the gift box, casually handed it to Qing Lin, and said indifferently, "Thank you. Proceed with company matters according to the previously agreed plan. Call me anytime if you encounter any problems."
"Yes, Mr. Wei, please rest assured," the manager replied respectfully, watching them leave the lobby and get into the black sedan parked at the entrance. The car drove away from the hotel, heading towards the airport.
Nan Yan sat in the back of the passenger seat, peering out the window. The tall buildings along the road rushed past, but his eyes remained full of wonder.
More than an hour later, the car arrived at the airport's private helipad.
Nan Yan followed Wei Xun out of the car and immediately spotted a white airplane parked not far away. Its fuselage was smooth and its design exquisite. It was smaller than the airplanes he had seen on TV, but it looked more impressive.
"Is this the plane we're going to take?" Nan Yan asked softly.
"Okay." Wei Xun patted his shoulder. "Let's go."
The flight crew was already waiting beside the plane. Upon seeing them approach, they bowed respectfully and said, "Mr. Wei, welcome aboard."
Wei Xun nodded and took the lead on the gangway.
Nan Yan followed behind him, her steps unsteady, her palms sweating.
As he stepped into the airplane cabin, he was instantly stunned by what he saw inside.
The cabin was luxuriously and comfortably furnished, with several separate areas instead of the densely packed seats found on ordinary airplanes.
The cockpit is in front, with several large leather sofas in the middle, surrounding a round coffee table, and a small bar counter with various drinks and fruits on it.
There are two separate rest rooms in the back, each with soft beds.
"Sit anywhere," Wei Xun said, pointing to the sofa. He then walked to the table next to him, where a laptop was placed.
Nan Yan carefully sat down on the sofa, which was so soft that he almost sank into it.
He dared not move, but held the kitten plush toy in his arms tightly with both hands, his eyes looking around.
Qinglin followed her in, placed the gift box next to the bar, and then sat down next to Nan Yan: "Young Master Nan Yan, would you like something to drink? We have juice, cola, and mineral water."
"Water is fine, thank you," Nan Yan said softly.
Qinglin got up and went to the bar to pour a glass of water, handing it to Nanyan: "You're welcome. President Wei still has some work to handle, how about I play chess with you?"
She took a portable chess set out of her bag and placed it on the coffee table.
This was Wei Xun's favorite pastime, and she often carried it with her in case Wei Xun suddenly felt like having a game.
"I don't know how to play chess," Nan Yan shook her head.
"I'll teach you, it's very simple," Qinglin said with a smile, picking up the chess pieces: "This is the general, this is the advisor, this is the elephant..."
Nan Yan listened attentively, her eyes fixed on the chessboard.
Qinglin taught him the basic rules and moves, then set up the pieces and let him make the first move.
At first, Nan Yan was quite unfamiliar with the task.
But after only ten minutes, he gradually got the hang of it, not only accurately remembering the moves of each piece, but also being able to predict Qinglin's next move.
Qinglin was somewhat surprised. She had originally thought that Nanyan would need a long time to learn, but she hadn't expected him to be so smart and grasp things so quickly.
"Young Master Nan Yan, you're amazing! You learn so fast!" Qing Lin exclaimed sincerely.
Nan Yan smiled shyly: "It's because you taught me well."
He looked up at Wei Xun, who was sitting at his desk working on documents with a focused expression.
Sunlight streamed through the airplane window, illuminating his tall and imposing figure, highlighting the strong and handsome lines of his profile.
Nan Yan watched for a while, then lowered his head and continued playing chess with Qing Lin. This time, he was even more serious, thinking through every move carefully.
Not long after, the crew came over and reminded everyone: "Mr. Wei, the plane is about to take off. Please fasten your seat belts."
Wei Xun stopped what he was doing, got up and walked to the sofa to help Nan Yan fasten her seatbelt: "We're about to take off. Don't be afraid, it'll be stable soon."
Nan Yan nodded, her heart pounding.
The plane slowly began to taxi.
Gradually, the scenery outside the window changed.
The houses and roads on the ground became as small as ants, and the white clouds floated around us, seemingly within reach.
"It's so high," Nan Yan murmured.
"If you like, you can take a look." Wei Xun sat down next to him, turned on the computer again, but did not start working immediately. Instead, he would glance at Nan Yan from time to time.
Nan Yan clung to the porthole for a long time, until her eyes started to sting, before finally sitting back down on the sofa.
"Sir, how long will it take us to reach Nancheng?" Nan Yan asked.
"About two hours," Wei Xun replied. "Are you hungry? Lunch will be served soon."
Nan Yan said she wasn't hungry, then pressed her phone watch, wanting to send a message to the girl with the ponytail named Hongye, telling her she was on a plane.
But he found that he couldn't send it.
"There's no signal on the plane, let's send it when we get to Nancheng," Wei Xun said, seeing through his thoughts.
"Mmm," Nan Yan replied, leaning back on the sofa, feeling both expectant and a little apprehensive.
Nancheng is Wei Xun's home, and also the place where he will live in the future. What will it be like there? Will it be as prosperous as Mirage? He turned to look at Wei Xun, who was focused on the computer screen with a serious expression.
Nan Yan watched for a while, feeling a warmth in her heart, and her previous anxiety gradually dissipated.
No matter what the South City is like, as long as I can follow Mr., that's enough.
Lunch was quickly prepared, and the crew pushed over a food cart with steak, pasta, salad, and fruit on it.
Wei Xun, Nan Yan, and Qing Lin began their meal as the plane flew smoothly without any turbulence.
After lunch, Wei Xun continued working, while Qing Lin told Nan Yan about the situation in Nancheng, telling people that there were many parks and amusement parks there, as well as a large library.
Nan Yan listened attentively, her heart filled with anticipation for Nancheng.
Two hours passed quickly.
The plane began its slow descent, and the scenery on the ground became clearer, revealing rows of buildings and wide roads.
With a slight tremor, the plane landed smoothly on the private helipad in the south of the city and came to a stop quickly.
"We're here," Wei Xun said to Nan Yan as he unbuckled his seatbelt.
Nan Yan nodded and followed Wei Xun off the plane.
A breath of fresh air wafted over me, different from the air in the city, and felt more gentle and refreshing.
Outside the tarmac, the driver and the old butler were already waiting.
Upon seeing Wei Xun, the old butler hurriedly came forward: "Young Master, you're back. Oh, and who is this...?"
"This is an orphan I picked up from the mirage, named Nan Yan." Wei Xun then said to Nan Yan, "This is the steward, Juan Bo."
Nan Yan looked at him and whispered, "Hello, Uncle Juan."
Juanbo responded with a smile, his eyes gentle.
