The Walking Dead: Starting as a Cowboy

Chapter 200 Blow Up the Wall!

Chapter 200 Blow Up the Wall!

They were all taken aback when they heard the governor's words.

Especially some of them who had previously served as recruit instructors, they exchanged glances and communicated with each other for a moment.

One of them was nudged by his companion from behind, and he slowly walked toward the governor.

The governor also turned his head.

Just as the man was about to speak, Michonne appeared around the corner again, saying sarcastically, "Governor, do you know why your daughter died?"

Beep beep—

Michonne was met with bullets filled with the governor's rage.

Michonne reacted quickly, sidestepping around the corner and leaning against the wall, she said loudly, "It's all because you're a coward, a weak person, unable to even protect your own daughter."

After shouting, Michonne took off running.

Sure enough, less than ten seconds later, the corner where Michonne had just been standing was met with the governor's furious retaliation.

In the far from spacious corridor, bullets were firing haphazardly, and even ricochets caused considerable damage to the walls and floor.

The governor's eyes were red, his chest heaving violently, and the echo of gunshots reverberated in his ears.

The governor put down his gun but did not stop; he continued running forward.

Michonne had long since disappeared.

The subordinates had no choice but to follow the governor.

Caesar looked down at his watch, hearing both light and heavy footsteps, along with the sound of gunfire like striking a bell.

The governor's shouts also reached over.

"Michonne, don't run away! You have to believe me, this time if I catch you, I definitely won't let you get away."

"I will make you regret ever being born."

The governor's voice was like a demon crawling out of hell, filled with murderous intent and madness.

It seems the governor was quite provoked by Michonne.

Caesar narrowed his eyes, a smile on his face, and glanced around at his surroundings.

He was standing behind a pile of sandbags, which were arranged in a U-shape, with two layers of sandbags surrounding him.

Two heavy machine guns were mounted on either side of the sandbag. Even without firing, the cold, heavy killing machines were chilling to behold.

The heavy machine gun operator stood there steadily, with ammunition already prepared at his side, ensuring that there would be no shortage of bullets that would cause the firepower to stop.

Beside the operator were members of Moore and Glenn's combat squad, their faces showing a kind of expectant anticipation, like waiting for a prey to run into a trap.

This is a prison area; in addition to the first floor, there is a second floor.

The second level features a small, passable platform where soldiers are scattered. As long as they are not directly facing the entrance, someone will be aiming their gun at them.

Such powerful firepower and elite soldiers.

Caesar couldn't fathom how the governor could possibly break in.

Da da da—

Michonne's footsteps drew closer. She passed through the entrance, breathed a sigh of relief, and quickly bypassed the sandbags to walk to Caesar's side.

He could hear Michonne's slightly rapid breathing. Caesar glanced at her. "Are you hurt?"

Michonne shook her head, straightened her back, stood as straight as a pine tree, and deliberately controlled her breathing.

Caesar found her stubbornness amusing and turned his gaze to Morales on the other side, saying, "Get her a chair."

Morales nodded, gave Michonne, who was standing next to Caesar, a deep look, and then walked away in a small step.

Once Morales retrieved the chair, Michonne stopped insisting on standing.

Morales's gaze towards Michonne held an even clearer meaning, but Michonne seemed oblivious, her eyes fixed straight ahead.

Unaware of the brief exchange between the two, Caesar's attention was entirely focused on the doorway.

The footsteps outside the door grew clearer and more distinct, then suddenly stopped.

The governor must have sensed something.

This is quite normal; it's not hard to imagine Michonne's motive for provoking the Governor.

Caesar smiled. "Governor, I've heard so much about you. Why don't you come out and have a chat?"

"Heh~" The governor chuckled sarcastically, conveying his meaning without showing his face.

So many people, so many guns, just waiting for me to show up and shoot me.

He's not stupid; he wouldn't commit such a suicidal act.

"Since you, Governor, are unwilling to show yourself, would you like me to tell you some good news?"

The governor did not answer, and Caesar continued, "Penny's death was on my orders."

The air seemed to freeze. Even though the governor hadn't shown himself, Caesar could still imagine the twisted, broken, and insane look on his face.

"That's right, I've known for a long time that Penny is a walker."

"I was originally planning to bring Penny back, dismember her, and send you parts back every now and then. I imagine you'd have a very interesting expression when you saw your daughter's remains."

When Caesar said this, not only did the governor's mood change, but even Michonne glanced at Caesar.

It seems they are assessing whether he is truly that kind of person.

Even the warriors looked at Caesar with some surprise, and Caesar glared at them helplessly.

Can't you tell if someone is deliberately provoking their opponent?

After all this time, don't you all know that I'm a kind and friendly person?

He cursed his companion in his heart, but what came out of his mouth were chilling words.

"I also know of some newly emerging religious groups in the area. They believe in walking corpses and worship them as gods. I even considered sending your daughter there."

"However, these are all hypotheticals. I gave an order back then: when you appeared, kill Penny in front of you."

After Caesar finished speaking, he paused for a moment, and opened his mouth as if to say something more.

A figure suddenly appeared, holding a grenade launcher, and fired the grenade without hesitation.

After he fired the grenade, the bullet pierced his body instantly, and he was jolted a few times by the powerful force before losing his life.

The grenade was fired, but before it could even get close to Caesar and his men's position, a hail of bullets struck it.

The grenade's casing was shattered, and it exploded.

Broken door frames, shattered gray walls, and thick smoke mixed with construction dust after the fire.

Caesar's gun was already fired, and he shouted, "Enemy target lost! Two people per group, take turns firing, keep firing!"

As he spoke, Caesar did not stop firing.

The bullet pierced through the smoke and disappeared inside; it's unknown whether it hit the enemy.

But just a few seconds into the shooting, a round grenade rolled in.

Perhaps fearing being shot, the throw went in the wrong direction, hitting a gun and only stopping near the door frame.

With a loud bang, the already dilapidated door frame was completely destroyed, and all the screws and other parts embedded in the wall burst out.

The entrance and exit of the small prison area have been expanded considerably.

Noticing the cement peeling off the wall, Caesar's eyes lit up, and an idea popped into his head.

Do it when you think of it.

Caesar changed to a new magazine, loaded it, and gave the order: "Turn the heavy machine guns around and aim at the crack in the wall."

"Blow up the wall for me."
