Chapter 174 Standoff
Tersey frowned and asked with a look of surprise.
Alex, with his medium-length blond hair, took a few small steps, somewhat confused. "What happened? Why were we taken to the hospital?"
Not only him, but the other four people had the same question.
Tersey's gaze swept over the group, looking them over several times, trying to find any trace of their feigned ignorance.
But to his shock, he felt that these people were not lying.
Sasha was exhausted, her arm muscles aching and swollen. She had no time to care about the people who had appeared behind her, and looked up at Tersey.
"Telsey, I'm out of strength. I can't hold on much longer."
Sasha's voice was trembling, clearly indicating that she had reached her limit.
Seeing Sasha like this, Tersey quickly shouted at the two who were still slumped on the ground, "Allen, Ben, stop standing there and get me something to block the door."
"hurry up!"
As Tyrsey shouted, the walkers outside the door pounded on the door and roared in terrifying sounds.
Whether it was Tyrsey's orders or the howls of the walkers that made the difference, Allen, who had been sitting blankly on the ground, hurriedly stood up and found a few dining chairs in the cafeteria nearby.
The dining chairs were covered in dust, and with a simple disassembly, several iron rods could be separated out.
Tersey took several iron bars and, turning sideways, inserted them into the door handle.
The door handle is the kind that's half-square, so you can use an iron bar to hold it in place. Then pick up the iron chain that you left behind when you broke in earlier.
After wrapping it around a few times, the door finally became much sturdier.
Tersey took a few steps back, exhaled a long breath, his chest heaving violently, and turned to look at Sasha.
She wasn't much better off; she was slumped against the wall by the door, giving Tersey a forced smile.
"Hey, get out of my way!"
A reprimanding voice came from behind.
Tyrsey turned around and found Ben arguing with a dark-skinned, thin prisoner.
Ben sat on the ground, holding Donna's body, glaring at Thomas.
Andrew's lewd gaze roamed over Donna's beautiful body curves, the greed and desire in his eyes not diminished in the slightest by the shout of a brat.
He took two steps back and moved closer to Thomas, the leader of the group of five and a particularly ruthless prisoner.
"Thomas, that woman is still warm, you can—while she's still hot—"
After saying that, Andrew licked his lips.
Thomas raised an eyebrow as he listened to Andrew's words, a wicked glint in his eyes; Andrew had piqued his interest.
Being confined in the cafeteria for so long was much harder than being locked up in prison.
They had no time to go outside, no enough communication, not a wide variety of food, and even defecating was not free.
Women, in particular, were driving him crazy with pent-up frustration.
Now, let alone a dead one, even an animal, he could consider it.
Tyrsey stepped forward, blocking Ben's view and preventing Thomas and the others from seeing her, and calmly asked, "Is there a problem, gentlemen?"
Ben, who was behind me, had just lost his mother and was very emotional; I couldn't upset him.
Tyrsey was tall and strong, with solid muscles in his bare arms, and he didn't look like someone to mess with.
But Thomas wasn't one to give up easily; however, he still needed to gather some information from the outside world first.
Having been trapped for so long, he had long wanted to know what had happened in the prison.
"Well, muscular man, can you tell us what's going on outside?" Thomas asked casually, sitting down in a chair set up at a dining table, seemingly unconcerned about the dust on it.
Tersey's thick lips moved, and he pointed his thumb at the door behind him. "Do you know what that is?"
As he spoke, Tersey looked at Thomas and the others.
Of the five, only the one named Alex was white; the others were black. The two black men were very tall, one of them even being two meters tall.
Strangely, the one in the lead was Thomas, who wasn't very strong, and his second-in-command was the short and thin Andrew.
The two big guys and the white guy Alex were in a subordinate position, not daring to sit down, and could only stand behind, not daring to say much.
While Talsey was explaining, not only was he observing the other person, but Thomas was also observing Talsey and his group.
Thomas was both shocked and bewildered by the dramatic changes in the outside world, while simultaneously contemplating how to kill the group in front of him.
Thomas's thinking changed very quickly. Perhaps he inherently believed in the law of the jungle, and now the prison was a good sanctuary for him. These people in front of him were here to take over their prison.
There were only four people in Tyrsey's group: a woman, a teenage kid, and a sissy who looked cowardly. Only Tyrsey posed a threat.
Thomas glanced at Andrew beside him, and the two looked at each other. With their long-standing understanding, Andrew instantly understood what Thomas wanted to do and nodded to himself.
After Talsey finished speaking, Thomas stood up, stretched, and yawned. "Alright, thanks for the information. You can leave the prison now."
Thomas issued the expulsion order, and the skinny Andrew stepped behind the other three and walked towards the edge of the cafeteria, grabbing a freshly removed iron rod and hiding it behind his back.
"What? You're letting us leave? By what right? Is this prison yours?"
Thomas's words completely enraged Sasha. She had already been wandering and had finally found a good shelter. She fought her way in with great difficulty, and so many of her companions had died along the way.
She's already inside; tell her to leave.
All the emotions that had been building up in her chest exploded like a pressure cooker that had been compressed to its limit, bursting forth with overwhelming force.
He stared directly at Thomas, gripping the machete in his hand so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
Tayssey stood behind Sasha, looking at Thomas as well, clearly unable to accept the outcome either.
Even Allen came over, his hands empty, looking somewhat comical and awkward.
The atmosphere in the cafeteria took a sharp turn for the worse, as if the air had frozen.
Thomas had no smile on his face. He slowly reached his hand behind him until he touched something cold at his waist, and then he took a deep breath.
"Brother, it's first come, first served. This prison originally belonged to us!"
Thomas was speaking to Talsey, his tone cold.
"Oh, really? Weren't you locked up here, criminal?" Sasha sneered, giving Thomas's prison uniform a disdainful once-over.
"you----"
Thomas was so angry he almost drew his gun on the spot.
Tyrsey offered a way out, saying, "The prison is big enough to house all of us; there's no need for us to fight."
"We can live in different prison blocks and keep to ourselves."
"Who wants to keep to themselves? This is our territory, get out of here!"
Skinny Andrew emerged; he was small in stature and had a stubborn temper.
