The Ferocious God in the Celestial Master's Mansion
Chapter 13 Unleashing a Bloodbath
The gates of Longhu Mountain opened wide, and two figures rushed out one after the other, the strong wind they generated sweeping away the yellow leaves of the ancient pines along the roadside.
Zhang Zhiwei was still dressed in a blue robe, his folding fan tucked into his palm. He walked with a composed gait, yet possessed an air of dominance over the world. He did not fly on a sword, nor did he use his Qi to travel, but every step he took seemed to land on an invisible point. His movements were as fast as a ghost, and he even seemed to have the ability to shrink the distance between places.
Zhang Yulei followed behind him, his black martial attire taut against his body, the tassel of his sword moving even without wind. His face was ashen, his eyes devoid of any emotion, except for a hint of crimson deep within them, like a wildfire ready to erupt at any moment. The murderous aura within him was firmly suppressed deep within his dantian, transforming into a chilling killing intent that seeped into his limbs with each breath.
"Senior brother, let's go to Qingyun Sect first." Zhang Yulei's voice broke the silence, carrying an icy chill. "Qingyun Sect is involved in Second Senior Brother's matter. The Quanxing dared to make a move in Xiangxi, so they must have tacitly approved it."
Zhang Zhiwei didn't stop walking. He tapped his folding fan lightly in his palm, a cold smile curving his lips: "Just what I wanted. I want to see what face that old man Wei Wuji has left to see me now."
The two traveled westward at an astonishing speed, arriving at the foot of the Qingyun Sect's mountain gate in just half a day.
The mountain gate of Qingyun Sect is built halfway up the mountain, with winding blue stone steps leading up and stone lions with Taoist patterns standing on both sides. The three large characters "Qingyun Sect" on the mountain gate plaque should have been awe-inspiring and upright, but in the eyes of Zhang Zhiwei and Zhang Yulei, they revealed a hypocritical and evil aura.
The gatekeeper was taken aback when he saw the two people, then his expression changed drastically, and he hurriedly tried to close the gate: "Quick! Close the gate! They're from Longhu Mountain!"
"Close the gates?" Zhang Zhiwei chuckled lightly, his voice not loud, yet it clearly echoed throughout the entire mountain gate. "In front of me, Zhang Zhiwei, does your Qingyun Sect's gate even deserve to be closed?"
Before he finished speaking, he raised his hand and waved his folding fan, lightly tapping the air. A surge of powerful energy swept out like a tsunami, and the invisible force crashed into the heavy mountain gate. With a loud "boom," the two wooden doors shattered into splinters that flew everywhere.
The gatekeeper was thrown away by the shockwave, crashed to the ground, coughed up blood, and struggled to get up.
The commotion inside the mountain gate quickly alerted the disciples of the Qingyun Sect. Figures surged in from all directions, wielding swords and knives, their expressions panicked, yet they forced themselves into defensive stances.
Upon hearing the news, Wei Wuji arrived and, seeing the mess at the mountain gate and the two figures standing at the bottom of the steps, his face instantly turned deathly pale. Behind him followed a group of elders from the Qingyun Sect, each with a solemn expression, their gazes towards Zhang Zhiwei filled with apprehension.
"Zhang Zhiwei! How dare you trespass on the gates of my Qingyun Sect!" Wei Wuji shouted, forcing himself to remain calm, but his voice was sharp yet weak. "Do you really think my Qingyun Sect has no one to rely on?"
"Nobody here?" Zhang Zhiwei slowly stepped onto the stairs, his blue robe fluttering as if he were strolling leisurely. "You bunch of rats who collude with the Quanxing Sect and harm your fellow disciples, do you even deserve to call yourselves 'people'?"
He raised his hand and pointed, his fingertip radiating with internal energy, aiming directly at Wei Wuji's face: "Wei Wuji, let me ask you, my junior brother Tian Jinzhong was attacked in western Hunan, losing his arms and legs and his Qi meridians. How much did your Qingyun Sect participate in this matter?"
Wei Wuji's pupils contracted sharply, his eyes flashing: "I don't know what you're talking about! Tian Jinzhong's attack was the work of the Quanxing Sect, what does it have to do with my Qingyun Sect?"
"What does it matter?" Zhang Zhiwei sneered, suddenly unfolding his folding fan. The four large characters "Dao Fa Zi Ran" (The Way Follows Nature) on the fan shone brightly. "My junior brother killed your accomplices in collusion with the Quanxing sect at Black Stone Ridge, and you held a grudge, joining forces with the Quanxing sect to retaliate, using my junior brother Tian as your scapegoat! Do you really think my Longhu Mountain is a soft persimmon, something you can just bully?"
His voice suddenly rose, booming like thunder: "Today, I will act on behalf of Heaven and cleanse this sect!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Zhang Zhiwei moved.
His speed was incredible; his green robes blurred into a blur as he weaved through the crowd of Qingyun Sect disciples. The folding fan in his hand seemed light and airy, yet each wave carried a devastating power.
"Bang!" "Crack!"
Screams rose and fell as Qingyun Sect disciples collapsed like wheat being harvested, some with shattered internal organs, others with broken bones; not one could withstand even a single move from him.
Upon seeing this, the elders' expressions changed drastically, and they all attacked. Streams of sharp Qi energy blasted towards Zhang Zhiwei, sword light, palm wind, and fist shadows intertwining to form an impenetrable net.
Zhang Zhiwei didn't even lift an eyelid. He lightly waved his folding fan, neutralizing all the Qi energy. He turned around and tapped an elder in the chest with his fan. The elder groaned and flew backward, crashing into a stone pillar and dying instantly.
"Pathetic." Zhang Zhiwei's voice was icy cold, devoid of any emotion.
Wei Wuji was terrified. He knew that the Qingyun Sect was utterly helpless against Zhang Zhiwei. He gritted his teeth and turned to flee.
"Trying to run?" Zhang Yulei's voice was as cold and piercing as if it came from the deepest hell.
He finally moved, his figure as swift as lightning, instantly blocking Feng Zhenghao's path. The sword at his waist was drawn, its blade flashing like snow, carrying a ruthless killing intent, aimed straight for Feng Zhenghao's throat.
Wei Wuji was shocked and quickly circulated his Qi to condense a blue shield in front of him.
"clang!"
The longsword struck the shield with a crisp sound. Wei Wuji felt an overwhelming force travel through the sword, his arm went numb, and the shield instantly cracked.
"Is this the strength of the Qingyun Sect leader?" Zhang Yulei's lips curled into a mocking smile. With a flick of his wrist, his longsword shot out like a venomous snake.
This sword strike was even more ferocious and ruthless than before, with a faint purple lightning crackling around its tip.
"Pfft!"
The longsword pierced Wei Wuji's shoulder, and blood gushed out.
Feng Zhenghao screamed in agony, his eyes filled with terror: "Spare me! Fellow Daoist Zhang, spare me! I was wrong! I was bewitched and colluded with the Quanxing! Please, spare my life!"
"A way out?" Zhang Yulei's eyes were icy. "When my Senior Brother Tian's limbs were severed and his Qi meridians were destroyed, did you ever think of giving him a way out?"
He exerted force on his wrist, and the longsword suddenly spun.
"ah--!"
Wei Wuji let out a piercing scream as his entire arm was brutally crushed, splattering blood all over Zhang Yulei.
Zhang Yulei, however, paid no heed, kicking Wei Wuji in the chest and sending him sprawling to the ground. He looked down at Wei Wuji, his eyes blazing with murderous intent: "Where is the Quanxing's stronghold?"
Wei Wuji was convulsing in pain, and dared not hide anything any longer. He hurriedly said, "It's...it's in Black Wind Valley in Xiangxi! That's the Quanxing's main stronghold in Xiangxi! Please...please kill me, give me a quick death!"
Zhang Yulei ignored his pleas and glanced at the surrounding Qingyun Sect disciples. Those disciples were already terrified, slumped to the ground, trembling.
"Today, I'll spare your lives." Zhang Yulei's voice was icy. "Go back and tell those so-called righteous sects that the people of Longhu Mountain are not to be trifled with! Anyone who dares to collude with Quanxing again and harm their fellow disciples will suffer this fate!"
He raised his hand and waved it, a surge of energy sweeping across, shattering the plaque of Qingyun Sect into pieces.
"Walk."
Zhang Yulei turned around, exchanged a glance with Zhang Zhiwei, and the two of them sped off towards the Black Wind Valley in western Hunan.
All that remained was the devastated Qingyun Sect gate, the disciples wailing in agony, and Wei Wuji lying in a pool of blood, barely clinging to life.
Black Wind Valley in western Hunan is shrouded in miasma year-round. The valley is gloomy and damp, with jagged rocks, making it a secluded and rarely visited place. At this moment, the Quanxing stronghold within the valley is brightly lit and bustling with activity.
The elders of Quanxing were gathered together, raising their glasses in celebration, waiting for news that Zhang Yulei and Zhang Zhiwei had walked right into their trap.
"Hahaha, Zhang Yulei is hot-tempered. Once he learns that Tian Jinzhong has been crippled, he'll definitely come knocking! When that happens, our inescapable trap will ensure he never leaves alive!"
"And Zhang Zhiwei, although he's formidable, we have many experts here. If we join forces, we'll definitely be able to kill him! Then, Longhu Mountain will be leaderless, and our Quanxing sect can dominate the world of supernatural beings!"
"The elder is wise!" Flattering words rose and fell, filling the entire hall.
Just then, a chilling voice, like a death knell from hell, suddenly rang out at the valley entrance: "You scum of the Quanxing Sect, come out and face your deaths!"
Before the words had even faded, a powerful killing intent swept through the entire Black Wind Valley like a tidal wave.
The Quanxing elders in the hall changed their expressions drastically, stood up, and looked towards the valley entrance.
An invisible force dispelled the miasma at the valley entrance, and two figures slowly walked in.
A man in a blue robe and carrying a folding fan, with an elegant demeanor, was none other than Zhang Zhiwei.
A man dressed in black, carrying a sword, and covered in blood, was none other than Zhang Yulei.
Behind the two were the corpses of Quanxing disciples scattered on the ground, their blood staining the bluestone path at the valley entrance.
"Zhang Zhiwei! Zhang Yulei!" The leading Quanxing elder's face was ashen. "You actually dared to come!"
"Why wouldn't you dare?" Zhang Zhiwei chuckled lightly, waving his folding fan. "You killed my fellow disciples, crippled my junior brother—your Quanxing sect will pay the price today!"
"The price?" The elder sneered, a ruthless glint in his eyes. "I think you're the ones who will pay the price! Attack! Kill them!"
As soon as the words fell, dozens of Quanxing masters attacked simultaneously, unleashing a barrage of bizarre techniques and insidious moves towards the two. Their Qi surged, and their killing intent was overwhelming.
Zhang Zhiwei remained expressionless, unfolded his folding fan, and gently waved it. A gentle yet domineering Qi energy spread out, completely neutralizing the incoming Qi energy. With a sway of his body, he strolled into the crowd as if taking a leisurely walk. With each wave of his fan, a Quanxing disciple fell to the ground.
His movements were fluid and graceful, yet carried a chillingly deadly power.
Zhang Yulei, on the other hand, was like a ferocious god who had crawled out of hell.
He didn't use any fancy moves; he simply released all the ferocity within him, merging it with the lightning magic. His longsword was drawn, its light as white as snow, carrying the force of a thunderbolt, leaving nothing but desolation in its wake.
"Thunder shakes the heavens!"
Zhang Yulei roared, pointing his longsword at the sky. In an instant, dark clouds gathered, thunder roared, and a thick bolt of golden lightning descended from the sky, striking the tip of his sword.
He charged towards the crowd, wielding lightning. Wherever the lightning struck, the Quanxing disciples were charred to pieces, their screams echoing everywhere.
Upon seeing this, the Quanxing elders' expressions changed drastically, and they all joined forces to attack Zhang Yulei.
"Boy! Don't be so arrogant!"
"Attack him together! Kill him!"
Several sharp bursts of Qi energy blasted towards Zhang Yulei, including some full-force strikes from those at the Qi Refining and Spirit Transformation realm.
A hint of disdain flashed in Zhang Yulei's eyes. He activated the Golden Light Spell to its fullest extent, and a thick golden light shield enveloped him. At the same time, the power of lightning in his hand surged, and he slashed out with his sword.
"Boom!"
The lightning collided with the Qi, producing a deafening roar. The elders were struck back by the lightning's power, spitting blood and flying backward.
Zhang Yulei moved like lightning, catching up with one of the elders, and pierced his heart with his longsword.
"This sword strike is for my second senior brother!"
With a flick of his wrist, he drew his longsword, and blood splattered everywhere.
He caught up with another elder, and with a flash of sword light, severed his head.
"This sword is for the innocent people who died at Blackstone Ridge!"
He was like a demon possessed, wreaking havoc within the Quanxing stronghold. His longsword flashed, each strike carrying a deadly intent, each stained with blood.
His eyes were bloodshot, and the murderous aura and killing intent within him made him grow stronger and stronger.
Zhang Zhiwei watched his figure, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes, but he did not stop him. He knew that Zhang Yulei needed a cathartic massacre to vent his anger.
He turned to look at the Quanxing disciples who were trying to escape, and with a light wave of his folding fan, stopped them one by one.
Inside Black Wind Valley, screams, the clash of weapons, and the roar of thunder intertwined to create a symphony of death.
After an unknown amount of time, the valley finally returned to calm. The ground was littered with the corpses of Quanxing disciples, their blood staining every inch of Black Wind Valley, and the miasma was thick with the stench of blood.
Zhang Yulei, leaning on his longsword, stood amidst a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, his entire body drenched in blood, like a demon returned from hell. His chest heaved violently, and the crimson in his eyes gradually faded, replaced by endless exhaustion.
Zhang Zhiwei walked over to him and patted him on the shoulder: "Alright, it's all over."
Zhang Yulei raised his head and looked up at the sky. The dark clouds dispersed, and sunlight shone through the clouds onto him.
He slowly lowered his longsword, his voice hoarse: "Brother Tian's revenge has been avenged."
Zhang Zhiwei looked at him, a hint of relief flashing in his eyes: "Yes, I submitted it."
The two turned and walked out of the valley.
The sunlight shone on them, casting long, long shadows.
However, no one noticed that the hint of ferocity deep in Zhang Yulei's eyes had not dissipated, but instead had become more solidified, like a lurking ferocious beast waiting for its next outburst.
Deep within the clouds and mist of Longhu Mountain, Zhang Qingjing stood atop the mountain, gazing at the distant sky, and sighed softly.
