Twin Cities: Who says scientists can't be conquerors?

Chapter 4: The Battle Without Bloodshed

In nine years, Aaron was still unable to develop the Cheng Ying tactical mech that completely satisfied him, but in addition to developing the mech, the development of some "civilian" equipment had become quite mature.

The most obvious example is that when Aaron said "Prepare for battle," those who were just inspecting the cargo boxes under Sevika's command suddenly became excited.

Far from being afraid, they all smiled and gave Aaron an awkward bow, each pulling out a large object from behind their backs—

"Zaun Shotgun Chainsaw Sword Type III!"

This thing had nothing to do with the order; it was originally just a "self-test" that Aaron conducted after learning and mastering the science and technology of Runeterra.

He wanted to see if he could develop some "gadgets" in Runeterra that could help improve productivity without relying on the Black Box system.

As it turns out, he both succeeded and "failed".

Originally, this thing was called the "Zaun High-Power Chainsaw," and it was created simply to help Zaun miners cut ore more effectively.

However, the people of Zu'an, who are inherently competitive and aggressive, quickly and spontaneously used this thing as a weapon, attacking each other in the mine pits of the underground area.

Even after Hilko intervened to mediate, the miners, grateful for Aaron's kindness, voluntarily stopped.

But once this trend took hold, and once everyone in Zaun realized that "Aaron always manages to create some incredibly powerful gadgets," things quickly spiraled out of control—

What? Aaron invented a miner's breathing mask? Add a few pieces of iron to this thing and it's just a helmet.

What? Aaron made another ore identification and sorting arm? If you put that thing on your back, it'll definitely hurt when you hit someone with it!

Aaron again...

In short, Aaron, who was determined to improve the living and working conditions of the people of Zaun, could not stop everyone's spontaneous "civilian-to-military" conversion.

After having an in-depth conversation with Hilko, Aaron simply gave up on "struggling".

He began to prove to the people of Zuan through his actions:

High-powered chainsaws are for sawing ore; no modifications are allowed!

But if you really want to fight...

Then why not try the "Zaun Shotgun Chainsaw Sword Type III," which I personally modified and can not only engage in melee combat but also fire shotgun shells!

For a time, when people throughout Zaun talked about weapons, they only recognized "made by Aaron".

Even the alchemist barons who refused to obey Hilko were secretly buying "new weapons" from Hilko.

This is why Aaron has the confidence to ensure that Zaun has only one voice.

What is the Alchemist Baron? Is it some kind of powerful organization that preys on the blood of miners?

What exactly is the Wildfire Gang? Are they just kids who naively believe they can build a "Shangri-La" with their little inventions?

If Zaun relies on them to rise to power, then they are truly beyond saving!

What Zaun truly needs, like the sound of that shot from the chainsaw blade, is a resolute and unwavering will—

boom! !

A powered glider fell to the ground and shattered into many pieces.

The colorful graffiti on the glider crumbled, and a Wildfire Gang member wearing an owl mask screamed in terror as he fell into the water.

Because the Wildfire Gang was still useful, Aaron's attitude towards the Wildfire Gang and the Alchemist Baron was ultimately different.

He not only ordered his men to prioritize attacking the enemy's power equipment, but also kept the cargo ships quietly docked without taking off.

Those Wildfire Gang members who fall from the sky will at most only experience one involuntary "high dive".

Wow! So handsome!!

Jinx watched as the Wildfire Gang members in the sky kept "pouring dumplings" into the river, her eyes sparkling with wonder, and she couldn't help but marvel.

She knew Aaron always had a reason for his actions, but she never expected his "reason" to be so provocative!

So that's why they kept the cargo ship from departing for so long – this is what happened.

"Young Master!"

One of Hilko's men, calling out the nickname they had spontaneously given Aaron, looked somewhat hesitant:

"The Wildfire Gang's punks have started engaging in boarding maneuvers. Looks like the warning I gave them earlier wasn't very effective."

"Should we start shooting at them now?"

That's right, destroying the powered glider was just a warning to these people.

In recent years, with Aaron's reforms and restructuring of the team, those who remain in the team are no longer the street thugs they once were.

They were already showing signs of becoming professional soldiers, and Aaron called them the "Zaun Resistance Army".

Not only can they understand commands, but they can also execute them effectively.

During the "moving target shooting" exercise against the Wildfire Gang, they strictly adhered to the requirement of "shooting only the gliders and not the people," ensuring that no blood was shed in the battle so far... not counting those who couldn't swim and might have drowned in the river.

"To hit someone or not? Good question."

"Let's stop fighting for now and see what these guys are planning to do."

Aaron did not answer the other person immediately, but instead crossed his arms, signaling the other person to calm down as well.

As the gunfire from the shotguns and chainsaws gradually subsided, the Wildfire Gang members who had flown in with such flair were either soaked to the bone or had fearlessly jumped aboard the smuggling cargo ship, shimmering with light.

They didn't have many firearms; they mostly just held long sticks or steel pipes.

Having witnessed the rebels' overwhelming firepower, they seemed prepared to face death. As soon as they boarded the ship, they began smashing and looting without restraint, desperately trying to achieve their objective of the raid as quickly as possible.

The luminescent reagents loaded on the ship were destroyed.

"Hey! Why are you smashing my things as soon as you come in?"

"I even know to return the balloon I snatch from others!"

Jinx couldn't hold back any longer and frowned as she reached out to stop her.

In her desperation, she finally admitted that she had stolen something, which made Aaron, who was watching the scene unfold, smile.

Due to Aaron's strange orders, a rather bizarre scene unfolded on the cargo ship—

Aaron was surrounded by well-equipped rebels.

Armed with their weapons, they watched angrily as others vandalized their cargo containers, but under Aaron's orders, they could only verbally curse the enemy.

In front of Aaron stood the Wildfire Gang, who looked like beggars.

Having just experienced the baptism of artillery fire, they were like frightened birds, scolded mercilessly but not daring to meet the eyes of the resistance fighters, only smashing boxes incessantly.

Neither side will interfere with the other.

For a moment, the clanging and banging of breaking goods, the shouts and curses of the rebels, and the strange fragrance of the luminous potion spilled all over the ground mingled together, creating a rather "harmonious" atmosphere...

"Did you understand?"

Aaron had someone pull the furious Jinx back, then turned and asked a meaningful question.

Even though the blue-haired girl had already lost her temper, she still maintained her composure and didn't pull the trigger of her machine gun, which made Aaron very gratified.

This means that in Jinx's mind, her respect for Aaron has surpassed her desire to vent her emotions.

Not easy.

"What do you understand?!"

Jinx raised her eyebrows and retorted loudly, clearly still angry.

"All I see are these guys vandalizing our cargo containers, and you won't even let me teach them a lesson!"

"Didn't we already teach them a lesson by destroying those gliders?"

"Bullshit! How can those be the same!"

"How is it different? The powered gliders are their property, and these goods are our property. Isn't it fair that we destroy each other's property without harming lives?"

"Oh..." Jinx blinked, then after a moment realized, "Wait a minute!"

"They're the ones who provoked us; we never said we wanted to exchange valuables with them!"

"hehe."

Hearing this, Aaron finally smiled.

He didn't argue with Jinx anymore, but instead turned to look at the Wildfire Gang members who had realized the rebels had no intention of opening fire:

"You all heard that, didn't you?"

"You were the ones who initiated the attack and smashed the cargo containers; we simply destroyed your powered gliders in response."

"so……"

Aaron slowly extended a hand towards the most conspicuous leader among the Wildfire Gang members:

"I hope we can sit down and talk now, what do you think?"
