Primordial Era: I rule the great sect and command all immortals.

Chapter 60 Shennong Tastes Herbs, Li Yunjing Seeks the Dao of Elixir at the Jing Palace

Chapter 60 Shennong tastes hundreds of herbs, Li Yunjing seeks the Dao of Elixir at the Eight Trigrams Palace

Since arriving in the human race to spread his teachings and taking in two human emperors, the Chaos Dao Lord's fortune has become intertwined with that of the human race, and his cultivation has immediately become smoother. This is the best era for him.

With the combined fortunes of the human race and the Jie Sect, it is likely that the first late-stage Grand Luo Golden Immortal among the three generations of Xuanmen would be Chaos Daojun.

This was not in vain for all his years of scheming; he finally achieved part of his wish.

Having received the sage's affirmation, Fuxi summoned Lieshan and said, "I will soon abdicate and retreat to the 'Fire Cloud Cave' for quiet cultivation. I have witnessed your actions over the years; you have devoted yourself to the human race and are a qualified successor. I intend to pass the throne of the Human Emperor to you. Go and prepare!"

Next, everyone in Chendi knew that the Human Emperor Fuxi had achieved perfect merit and was about to ascend to heaven.

Chaos Dao Lord also helped his two disciples with the handover. The position of Human Emperor, although not a saint, is immeasurable in merit, free from disasters and difficulties, immortal and indestructible. As long as the primordial world exists, Fuxi will not die.

"Fire Cloud Cave" is a small world that Lao Tzu, the leader of the Human Sect, personally created from chaos.

The spiritual energy here is abundant, no less than that of a sage's dojo. It can be said that, to some extent, the benefits of Fuxi's attainment of the Dao are also immense. Although he does not possess the magical power of a sage and cannot control the course of the primordial world, he enjoys a life of leisure and happiness, which can be considered the ultimate dream of countless beings in the primordial world.

Seven days later, when everything was ready, Grand Master Xuandu returned to Chen and said to Fuxi, "Quickly set up the incense table, our teacher is coming."

Fuxi, Chaos Daojun, and Lieshanshi dared not be negligent and hurriedly ordered people to set up an incense table to welcome the sage.

Before long, countless auspicious clouds descended from the sky, and a purple cloud drifted by. The Supreme Sage Laozi rode a rhinoceros, led by the Golden Horned Boy, and arrived on the cloud.

The crowd hurriedly knelt down to welcome the sage. Fuxi led the way, with Lieshan and Chaos Daojun standing on either side. They said in unison, "Disciples, Fuxi, Lieshan, and Chaos Child, on behalf of the human race, pay homage to the leader of the Human Sect, the Sage Taiqing."

"No need for formalities, you may rise."

Laozi nodded in satisfaction, especially glancing at Chaos Child. Chaos Child had performed very well, helping him teach the human race. He had worked hard and made great contributions over the years, truly deserving to be the person he valued most among the three religions.

Everyone rose and, under the guidance of Laozi, witnessed the ceremony of the transfer of the throne between Fuxi and the Lieshan clan.

After Fuxi passed the throne to Lieshan, the sky was filled with colorful clouds, and boundless rosy light shone on Fuxi. After a while, the rosy light dissipated, and Fuxi said to Laozi, "I trouble you, my Daoist brother, to come and fetch me."

Upon attaining enlightenment, Fuxi received divine blessings, and his cultivation level returned to Quasi-Saint. With the help of these blessings, he even reached the pinnacle of Quasi-Sainthood.

Having restored his cultivation, Fuxi regained his memories of his past life. He turned around, bowed, and said to Chaos Daojun, "Thank you for your guidance over the years, Master. Now that I have entered the Jie Sect, I will always be a disciple of the Jie Sect."

"That's fine too!"

Chaos Dao Lord's expression was complicated, but he dared not accept Fuxi's bow. He stepped aside and only accepted half a bow, and returned the bow.

Since Fuxi still acknowledges him as his teacher and considers himself a disciple of the Jie Sect, that is enough.

Fuxi understood that his cultivation was high and his seniority was great, which naturally made his teacher feel a little uncomfortable. So he stopped talking and looked at Lieshan, saying, "Brother, I will be waiting for you in the 'Fire Cloud Cave'."

After speaking, the aura of a Quasi-Saint at the Great Perfection swept across the prehistoric world, demonstrating the supreme majesty of the human race. When the Human Emperor went out, all other races retreated.

From this moment on, all the great beings of the primordial world knew that the human race had finally produced a quasi-saint at the Great Perfection stage. From then on, no one dared to underestimate the human race anymore and acknowledged the human race's status as the protagonist of the world.

Seeing Fuxi flying into the chaos with his senior uncle, he knew they had gone to the "Fire Cloud Cave".

Chaos Dao Lord accepted the merit from the Heavenly Emperor's attainment of Dao, his expression complex, thinking to himself, "After this parting, I wonder what the future holds? Fuxi is, after all, the Human Emperor. Although he is considered a disciple of the Jie Sect, he cannot help the Jie Sect."

After succeeding Fuxi as the Human Emperor, Lieshan began to promote farming techniques throughout the human race. Because he taught everyone farming techniques, the human race revered him as "Shennong" (God of Agriculture). Also, because Lieshan burned mountains to create fields and possessed the virtue of fire, he was also called "Emperor Yan" (Emperor Yan).

Shennong taught the human race to cultivate the five grains, not just relying on the heavens for the harvest, but also taught the various tribes to dig wells to draw water for irrigating their crops.

He also invented pottery, which solved some problems in people's lives.

With the advent of agriculture, there was a surplus of the fruits of human labor. Shennong established markets, allowing people to exchange food and goods that they could not finish eating or use, thus giving rise to primitive commodity trading.

However, after many years, the human race also encountered some problems in its development. Not all plants in the mountains and forests were edible; some were poisonous, and many people were poisoned to death.

Shennong, unable to bear it, vowed to travel the world, taste all kinds of herbs, and let people know what can be eaten, what cannot be eaten, what is harmful to eat, and what is beneficial to eat.

Thus, under the guidance of the Chaos Dao Lord, Shennong gained the ability to distinguish, and left his tribe to wander throughout the prehistoric world, hoping to taste all the herbs in the world.

Over hundreds of years, Shennong discovered many edible plants and was poisoned many times. If it weren't for the protection of the "Shangqing Immortal Method" and the reward of some "Five-Turn Golden Pills" from the Chaos Dao Lord, Shennong would not have been able to withstand the attacks of countless poisonous plants in the prehistoric world.

Although he always managed to escape danger, Shennong sensed that if things continued this way, he might not be able to hold on until the day he could fulfill his wish.

Undeterred by setbacks, Shennong, knowing his own limitations and inability to fulfill his wish, returned to Chen and visited his teacher again, explaining his purpose.

Besides cultivating the "Shangqing Immortal Method" and learning some pharmacological knowledge and the art of governing a country, Shennong also wanted to learn the art of alchemy.

"Disciple, my alchemy skills were obtained from the Sage Taiqing. The methods of a sage cannot be easily passed on." Seeing Shennong's disappointed look, Chaos Daojun smiled slightly and said, "Tomorrow, I will personally go to Shouyang Mountain to pay my respects to my eldest master uncle and ask for the way of alchemy to be passed on to you."

"Thank you for your kindness, teacher!"

Shennong then realized that his teacher was just teasing him, and he showed a delighted expression.

Seeing Shennong's heartfelt joy, Chaos Daojun sighed inwardly, "This is the true Human Emperor, selfless and devoted to the human race."

The next day, Chaos Dao Lord indeed rode a cloud and flew towards "Shouyang Mountain".

After exchanging a few words with Grand Master Xuandu, Chaos Daojun entered the "Eight Scenery Palace," performed a grand ceremony, and paid homage to the sage. Chaos Daojun then explained his purpose and earnestly requested the sage's mercy to pass on the art of alchemy for Shennong and for the human race.
