Primordial Era: I rule the great sect and command all immortals.

Chapter 130: Six Saints Guard the Border, Duobao Transforms the Barbarians into Buddhas

Chapter 130 Six Sages Guard the Border, Duobao Transforms the Barbarians into Buddhas

The four sages were astonished that "Western Religion" was to be renamed "Buddhism". They knew that although the names of the Human Religion, the Chan Religion, and the Jie Religion were different, they all belonged to the Xuanmen (mysterious sect) transmitted by Hongjun.

"Hahaha! My great enemies are all courting their own deaths! Brilliant! Brilliant!"

Upon seeing this, the Tongtian Sect Leader burst into laughter. He opened his eyes, and a stream of pure energy shot out from behind his head, forming a Dao flower. The five elements manifested as white waves, which rolled endlessly. The three flowers hung above them, stabilizing the white waves, and then countless streams of Shangqing immortal energy descended.

"Jieyin and Zhunti, you two mustn't be so arrogant. I'll settle my karmic debts before I settle things with you!"

The Primordial Celestial Venerable also sneered repeatedly. With a wave of his hand, the sky opened up and a pure aura rushed out from behind his head, hanging above his head. Three flowers appeared, and the pure aura churned. The "Pangu Banner" and the "Three Treasures Jade Ruyi" were also suspended above it. Agate, pearls, emeralds, umbrellas, and glass appeared in it, and golden flowers hung down endlessly, surrounded by auspicious clouds.

"The Buddhist community's fortunes are soaring, it's indeed something external forces can't stop, but what if internal problems arise?"

Lao Tzu murmured to himself, his voice growing softer and softer until it was almost inaudible. He pointed his finger, and auspicious clouds appeared, with three lights shining brightly overhead, stretching for thousands of miles and as clear as water. The three energies condensed into a Dao flower, and the five energies manifested as auspicious clouds. The Dao flower appeared atop the sea of clouds.

He then pointed again, and a blue lotus emerged from the sea of clouds, upon which rested two supreme treasures: the "Tai Chi Diagram" and the "Heaven and Earth Xuanhuang Exquisite Pagoda".

"Zhunti, the karmic entanglement between us, spanning an entire eon, will one day come to an end!"

Inside the "Nuwa Palace," a murderous glint flashed in Nuwa's eyes. The cause and effect of the Investiture of the Gods had not been resolved, and it was still due to the collusion of the Four Sages. Even if she took action, she would only bring shame upon herself. Now that Jieyin and Zhunti had severed their ties with the Xuanmen, they naturally had no external support. In the next great calamity, she could find the right opportunity to avenge this humiliation!

This serene and unassuming female saint also revealed her true form, with seven-colored clouds above her head, and above the clouds hung a "Map of Mountains and Rivers," adorned with thousands of auspicious wisps, flashing golden light, and swirling fragrance.

The six saints each manifested auspicious clouds and Dharma forms, indicating their respective positions.

However, according to the words of Hongjun Daozu, sages cannot fight, so Nuwa was the first to withdraw her Dharma body and eliminate the strange phenomenon.

Then, Laozi and Yuanshi Tianzun also stopped the strange phenomenon. These two sages were indebted to the two Buddhist saints because of the Investiture of the Gods war. They could not make things difficult for them. This action was just to show their position and express their opposition.

Seeing that the other three saints had stopped their strange phenomena, Tongtian Jiaozhu also withdrew his supernatural powers. He directly used his great magic to propel "Jin'ao Island" towards the outside of the Thirty-Three Heavens. He was preparing to establish a Daoist temple in the chaos and ignore worldly affairs.

All the immortals of the Jie Sect gathered in the Biyou Palace. The Tongtian Sect Leader used magic to protect the Jin'ao Island and came into the chaos. He raised his palm and thunder roared, and bolts of Shangqing Divine Thunder were unleashed.

Many disciples in the Biyou Palace watched the sect leader create the heavens and earth. Even the "Shangqing Divine Thunder" they were most familiar with felt a chill. Compared with the thunder in the hands of the sect leader, this thunder was like heaven and earth, the difference was immeasurable.

One after another, "Shangqing Divine Thunder" exploded in the chaos, with a series of "boom" explosions. The chaos was instantly separated into Yin and Yang, and earth, water, fire and wind emerged.

Among all the immortals, the Ziwei Emperor had the deepest cultivation. The creation of the world by a sage is full of infinite mysteries. The Great Dao of Creation and the evolution of the world are unparalleled opportunities. Li Yunjing frantically calculated everything in front of him.

He had the deepest understanding of thunder magic, and the legacy of the Destroyer God was also largely based on thunder magic to destroy the world. Destruction and rebirth coexisted. Thunder magic shattered chaos, and a world was born from endless nothingness.

At this moment, in Li Yunjing's mind, through calculations, he realized that by using numerous innate spiritual treasures to suppress earth, water, wind, and fire, he might be able to create a world in the chaos.

However, his methods are still too immature compared to those of a saint, and he cannot be as relaxed as the leader.

While calculating his own power of creation, the Ziwei Emperor saw the land created by the "Shangqing Divine Thunder" being filled with the infinite power of the sage's laws. The world began to slowly take shape, with the sun, moon, and stars shining down, mountains and lakes forming, and the whole world full of vitality.

"Jin'ao Island" slowly flew into the new world, gradually merging into it, becoming no different from the world. The entire "Biyou Palace" is located in the very center of this world, surrounded by green mountains and clear waters.

With a flick of his finger, the Tongtian Sect Leader inscribed the three characters "Yu Yu Tian" on the entrance of the Biyou Palace. This place would later become the Tongtian Sect Leader's Daoist temple, the Shangqing Sacred Realm.

Following the example set by the Tongtian Sect Leader, other sages also moved their dojos into the chaos.

The Supreme Lord Laozi then moved the "Eight Views Palace" from Shouyang Mountain to the Thirty-Three Heavens, which became known as the "Great Crimson Heaven," also called the Supreme Pure Sacred Realm.

Meanwhile, Yuanshi Tianzun also moved out of Kunlun Mountain and created the Mi Luo Tian in the chaos, and moved the Yu Xu Palace to the Yuqing Sacred Realm.

The Pure Land of Amitabha and the Cave of the Slanting Moon and Three Stars on the Lingtai Fangcun Mountain of Zhunti were also settled in the newly opened Chaotic Dao Field, and from then on, they were far away from the Nine Netherworld, the mortal world, the Immortal Realm, and the Thirty-Three Heavens.

Thus, after the Investiture of the Gods, within three thousand years, the three realms of Heaven, Earth, and Man were separated, and the gods returned to their places.

The six sages were confined by Hongjun Daozu and could not manifest in the Three Realms. They could only go far away to the Thirty-Three Heavens to cultivate in the chaos, guard the borders and protect the primordial world, and no longer easily interfere in the affairs of the Three Realms.

Of course, rules are rigid, but people are flexible. Lao Tzu still has the responsibility to educate humanity and needs to make another trip to the mortal realm. In addition, his benevolent self, Taishang Laojun, still sits in the "Doushuai Palace" of the Heavenly Court. In the Three Realms, this leader of the Human Religion still has great influence.

Upon seeing this, the shameless Sage Zhunti also created an avatar and hid it in the Earthly Immortal Realm. This avatar did not possess the power of a Sage, but was merely a quasi-Sage level warrior, which can be considered as exploiting a loophole of the Dao Ancestor Hongjun.

As for Yuanshi Tianzun, Tongtian Jiaozhu, Amitabha Buddha, and Nuwa, they had no such intentions and each lived in seclusion in their respective temples. The rest of the matters were naturally handled by their disciples.

After King Wu of Zhou, Ji Fa, gained control of the world, peace prevailed, and the Western Zhou Dynasty enjoyed its rule for eight thousand years.

Towards the end of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the feudal lords were constantly at war with each other, and their power grew stronger and stronger. In the end, King You of Zhou, a tyrant comparable to Jie of Xia, squandered the last bit of wealth of the Western Zhou Dynasty.

By the time the Eastern Zhou Dynasty was established, the emperor's authority had been completely lost, and the feudal lords of the world no longer took the Zhou emperor seriously. First came the Five Hegemons of the Spring and Autumn Period, and then the Seven Warring States, none of them regarded the so-called Zhou emperor with respect.

Five thousand years have passed since the sages retreated into the chaos. During these five thousand years, the Jie Sect has kept a low profile, with each disciple taking on a few successors before closing their doors to cultivate.

Similarly, although Guang Chengzi and others of the Chan Sect were the victors, the Chan Sect's foundation was exhausted, leaving only five true disciples struggling to keep it afloat. Like the Jie Sect, each of them took in some disciples and passed on their lineage, all hoping to achieve quasi-sainthood by severing their corpses during this peaceful time.

The demon and witch races remain unchanged, with their main force staying in the harsh environment of Beiju Luzhou, a small portion surviving in Nanzhanbuzhou, and only a few demon kings and minor witches living in Xiniuhezhou and Dongsheng Shenzhou.

This was only because the Xuanmen sect was in decline and had no choice but to turn a blind eye to these demon and witch races.

In an era without the intervention of sages, the most active force was Buddhism. Its influence extended to the Nine Netherworlds, the mortal universe, the Four Continents, and even the Four Seas and the Thirty-Three Heavens.

The entire Xiniu Hezhou is the stronghold of Buddhism. Apart from a few immortals and demons, outsiders can hardly interfere. Among them, the Xuanmen master Zhen Yuanzi is a thorn in the side of Buddhism. However, without a sage to back him up, no one in Buddhism can match Zhen Yuanzi, this great supernatural being. Therefore, Wuzhuang Temple does not have any dealings with Buddhism and each develops peacefully.

The Southern Continent is a place where various forces are mixed together. Now, Buddhism has also gotten involved. The Great Tribulation of the Investiture of the Gods has just passed, and Buddhism is unwilling to offend the three major sects of Taoism. Here, they mainly target and suppress rogue immortals and demons without any roots, and seize blessed lands.

The Buddhist slogan of "subduing demons and eliminating evil spirits" gradually spread from this time.

The Northern Continent is bitterly cold and desolate. Apart from powerful witches and demons, only cultivators who practice special techniques live there. Ordinary beings have no desire to live there. Naturally, the Buddhist sect has no interest in such a place, and no Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, or Arhats have ever gone there to "exterminate demons and monsters".

As the best place among the four continents, Dongsheng Shenzhou has always been the territory of the Chan Sect, Jie Sect, and Ren Sect. Unfortunately, after a great war, the Xuanmen Sect declined, and the Buddhist Sect began to constantly probe. Some Buddhist masters have even settled in the East, waiting for the opportunity to spread their teachings.

Faced with the Buddhist sect's attacks on all sides and its overwhelming power over the Three Realms, the Tongtian Sect Leader, the Primordial Heavenly Lord, and the Goddess Nuwa remained indifferent. However, the Supreme Elder, the senior disciple of the Xuanmen sect and the leader of the Human Sect, could no longer sit idly by.

Over the years, seeing all this, feeling anxious and worried, only Lao Tzu himself knows how much he regrets it.

Finally, on this day, Laozi left the "Great Crimson Heaven" and came to the "Purple Cloud Palace". He told his teacher, Hongjun Daozu, that the leader of the Human Sect had the mission of educating the human race and needed to go to the human world.

Although Hongjun Daozu had attained the Dao, he was still the leader of the Xuanmen sect. His eldest disciple's words were not wrong. Moreover, seeing that the two Western Saints had established the Buddhist sect, and that the Buddhist sect would flourish in the next great calamity, it was already a foregone conclusion. Even if the eldest disciple made some moves, it would not affect the overall situation. Therefore, he allowed Taishang Laozi to descend to the mortal realm once.

In order to share in the fortune of Buddhism, this senior disciple of the Xuanmen sect was reincarnated as Laozi in the human world during the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, passing down the lineage of Taoism. He then went west out of Hangu Pass and converted Duobao Daoist into a Buddhist.

When Lao Tzu left Hangu Pass to the west, he met Yin Xi, who was later known as the True Man of the Beginning of Literature. Yin Xi passed down the book "Tao Te Ching". After studying the Tao Te Ching, Yin Xi wrote the book "Guan Yin Zi" hundreds of years later.

Seeing that Yin Xi had deeply inherited his Dao, Laozi ordered the Grand Master Xuandu to bring him to the Xuandu Cave in the "Great Crimson Heaven" to continue his cultivation and to take him as a disciple, making him the second disciple of the Human Sect.

After the Daoist Duobao was converted from barbarian to Buddhist by Laozi, he changed his name to Shakyamuni Buddha. Amitabha Buddha touched his head and gave him a prophecy. Shakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha and immediately used the supreme fortune of Buddhism to sever one of his corpses and become a quasi-saint.

Lao Tzu also used the merit he gained from converting barbarians into Buddhism to create a treasure called the "Diamond Bracelet".

Laozi converted the barbarians to Buddhism and had Duobao Daoren establish Mahayana Buddhism. His original intention was to divide the Buddhist fortune. However, Duobao Daoren deeply resented Laozi's alliance with outsiders to exterminate the Jie Sect. He went to the Western Paradise and became a disciple of Amitabha Buddha, thus thwarting Laozi's conspiracy to split Buddhism.

Amitabha Buddha established Hinayana Buddhism to save himself, not others. Duobao Daoist was a true disciple of the Jie Sect and was deeply influenced by its doctrines. After transforming into Shakyamuni Buddha, he brought with him the Jie Sect's doctrine of teaching without discrimination.

After the establishment of Mahayana Buddhism, Buddhist doctrines became more easily accepted, and the rise of Buddhism was unstoppable.

Laozi was filled with remorse, but there was nothing he could do. He regretted that he and his second brother Yuanshi had killed Tongtian. Now the Xuanmen was in disarray and had no quasi-saint level experts. How could they be an enemy of the Buddhist sect?

Whether he can maintain his position as the leader of the People's Church in the future remains to be seen.

If countless beings, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, silently chant "Amitabha" every day, what face would he have to teach sentient beings and become the leader of this religion?

Although they have Grand Master Xuandu and True Man Wenshi as disciples, it is definitely not something that can be accomplished in a single kalpa for the Human Sect to develop. Now, Laozi can only place his hopes on the Chaos Dao Lord who is suppressed in the North Sea Eye.

Once this top expert of the third generation of the Xuanmen sect emerges, he will naturally not remain indifferent to the current situation, thus alleviating the pressure on the Xuanmen sect to some extent.

As for whether Chaos Child will cause trouble for the Chan Sect, the leader of the Human Sect can't concern himself with such matters.

As long as the momentum of Buddhism can be contained, even if Chaos Child oppresses his true disciple Xuandu, Laozi will have to pretend not to see it.

In recent years, the Ziwei Emperor has returned to the Thirty-Three Heavens, where the Ziwei Heaven is located, providing support for many of his fellow disciples who have made it onto the list.

In that immortal realm, the mountain gate "Wuyi Mountain" in the Southern Continent was managed by Lady Yunxiao, and Yuan Hong and Su Daji were mostly guided in their cultivation by Lady Yunxiao.

Many years have passed. Yunxiao has become a god in his physical body and, with the fortune of the Heavenly Court, has severed his good corpse and become a quasi-saint. However, Yunxiao is very low-key and guards the area of Wuyi Mountain for millions of miles, without contacting the outside world.

Zhao Gongming returned to Mount Emei. With this peak Grand Luo Golden Immortal presiding over the place, no one dared to covet this blessed land.

As for Bixiao, Qiongxiao, Caiyun Fairy, and the others, they returned to the "Three Immortal Islands," where they could not abandon their dreams.

The Jie Sect also had several top-level Grand Luo Golden Immortals, such as the Golden Spirit Mother, the Wudang Mother, the Turtle Spirit Mother, the Feathered Immortal, and the Dark Cloud Immortal, who were stationed there to help their fellow disciples stabilize the Daoist temples and basically preserve some of the core blessed lands.
