Chapter 125 The Ten Thousand Immortals Formation Arises, the Friendship of the Three Pure Ones Disperses

"The teacher has summoned us; we must enter the battle at once!"

Upon receiving the summons from Yuanshi Tianzun, Guang Chengzi and the other three were overjoyed, knowing that the situation inside had stabilized and that Tongtian Jiaozhu had been defeated. The four dared not be negligent, each with a talisman on their body, and rushed into the formation. Guang Chengzi removed the "Zhuxian Sword"; Chijingzi removed the "Luxian Sword"; Yuding Zhenren removed the "Xianxian Sword"; and Daoxing Tianzun removed the "Juexian Sword".

The four swords of Zhuxian were taken by the four Golden Immortals of the Chan Sect, and the "Zhuxian Sword Formation" was broken. When the disciples of the Jie Sect saw the disciples of the Chan Sect and the Western Sect rushing in, some took the initiative to fight, while others were quick-witted and turned to flee, their whereabouts unknown.

The main force of the Jie Sect, including Jinling Shengmu, Wudang Shengmu, Guiling Shengmu, and Wuyun Xian, fled towards Biyou Palace with their fellow disciples.

The Tongtian Sect Leader sighed. Seeing his many disciples fleeing, he, the Primordial Saint, was helpless. Even he had to run away, otherwise he would be beaten by the Four Saints in front of everyone and lose face in the Three Realms.

However, at the last moment, the leader used his supernatural powers to stop Jieyin and Zhunti from pursuing Jinling Shengmu, Wudang Shengmu, Guiling Shengmu, and others, allowing several core disciples to escape.

As for the other disciples, he could hardly take care of them.

In an instant, many of the hundreds of disciples of the Jie Sect were killed by the immortals of the Chan Sect and sent to the Investiture of the Gods; others were captured by the Daoist Zhunti and taken into his sleeve.

After exchanging greetings, Laozi rode his blue ox and flew towards Shouyang Mountain.

Jieyin and Zhunti exchanged a smile, greeted Yuanshi Tianzun, and then took their leave. This time, the two of them had captured seventy or eighty Taiyi Golden Immortal level experts from the Jie Sect. These people all had decent backgrounds and were quite promising.

Once they return to the Western Paradise, these people will have no choice but to submit under the influence of the two saints. At that time, the Western Sect will gain nearly a hundred powerful allies, and this trip will make up for the previous losses of the Western Sect.

The Tongtian Sect Leader would certainly not accept this, and the two of them would naturally have another chance to transfer more outstanding immortals away from the Jie Sect.

After saying this, he boarded the "Nine Dragons Incense Carriage" and flew towards the "Jade Void Palace" with Yun Zhongzi and Baihe Tongzi in attendance.

After sending Yuanshi Tianzun away, Daoist Ran Deng, Guang Chengzi, and others discussed the matter with many Da Luo Jin Xian and Tai Yi Jin Xian of the Western Sect. Both sides agreed that the Jie Sect was temporarily unable to stop Xiqi from attacking Shang, so they decided to return to their respective mountains to rest and recuperate.

You must know that over the years, living in the mortal world has been incredibly stressful, and these immortals have suffered greatly. Naturally, they don't want to continue getting involved with mortals and enduring the hardships of the mortal realm.

After all the Western Immortals had left, Guang Chengzi said to Jiang Ziya, "Ziya, we will be leaving now. If anything happens, we will come to your aid."

A group of second-generation disciples of the Chan Sect greeted Jiang Ziya and then departed on their own clouds.

With the powerful figures from the Western Sect and the Chan Sect no longer pressing down on them, and with the Jie Sect immortals causing trouble, Jiang Ziya, King Wu Ji Fa, and others breathed a sigh of relief.

After a brief rest, the army broke through Jiepai Pass and marched towards Tongguan. Although Yu Hualong, the general guarding Tongguan, and his five sons Yu Da, Yu Zhao, Yu Guang, Yu Xian, and Yu De were capable, they were no match for Jiang Ziya and the third-generation disciples of the Chan Sect, as well as the scattered immortal masters.

In an instant, ten thousand immortals gathered on "Golden Turtle Island". Some fellow disciples who did not know what had happened before were filled with grief and indignation when they heard that the Jie Sect had been so humiliated. In the midst of their excitement, they all followed the instructions of the Golden Spirit Mother, the Wudang Mother, and the Turtle Spirit Mother and practiced the "Ten Thousand Immortals Formation" with all their might.

After a month, Wan Xian had mastered the formation. Tongtian Jiaozhu then issued a decree, ordering Jinling Shengmu to lead her fellow disciples to set up the formation outside Tongguan Pass, with himself to follow shortly after.

Upon receiving the order, the Holy Mother Jinling led some of her fellow disciples to Tongguan Pass ahead of time, where they set up a large formation and awaited the arrival of Jiang Ziya and other disciples of the Chan Sect.

At this moment, the immortals of the Chan Sect, along with several Great Luo Golden Immortals of the Western Sect, went together to see the "Ten Thousand Immortals Formation." The formation contained countless Great Luo Golden Immortals, Taiyi Golden Immortals, and Golden Immortals of the Jie Sect. With so many immortals gathered together, even without the formation's blessing, the people of the Chan Sect and the Western Sect dared not fight against them.

Everyone knew that the Great Tribulation of the Investiture of the Gods was about to end, and everyone was cautious and careful, fearing that at the last moment, they would be attacked by the Jie Sect in their final moments and end up on the Investiture of the Gods list.

Just as the immortals were discussing returning to ask their teacher for help, celestial music and a strange fragrance filled the air. The Primordial Celestial Venerable descended from the sky in his "Nine-Dragon Incense Chariot." The disciples were overjoyed and quickly descended from the reed hut to welcome their teacher onto it.

Seeing the worried look on his direct disciples' faces, Yuanshi Tianzun knew that his disciples had suffered a lot over the years, so he said, "Today you should all complete this tribulation, return to your caves, guard your nature and cultivate your mind, sever your three corpses, and never again get involved in the troubles of the mortal world."

Upon hearing this, the immortals were overjoyed. This great calamity had already claimed the lives of two of the twelve Golden Immortals, leaving only ten. As for the other second-generation disciples, they were almost all dead, and there were not many third-generation disciples left in the Chan Sect.

Guang Chengzi and the others did not know if they would be the next ones to suffer this calamity, and they were filled with fear day and night.

Hearing the teacher say that the Great Tribulation of the Investiture of the Gods would be over after this formation, a weight was lifted from my shoulders, and I stopped worrying about myself.

The immortals then sat quietly on the reed hut, waiting for the arrival of the other three sages.

While I was sitting quietly, I suddenly heard a strange fragrance and celestial music drifting in from the air.

Yuanshi Tianzun, knowing that Taishang Laozi had arrived, hurriedly led his disciples down from the reed hut to greet him.

Accompanied by Grand Master Xuandu, Laozi arrived at the reed hut. Seeing Yuanshi Tianzun and his disciples greeting him, he quickly dismounted from his green ox, exchanged greetings with Yuanshi Tianzun, and then stepped into the reed hut hand in hand.

The immortals of the Chan Sect and Grand Master Xuandu and others paid homage to the leaders of the two sects.

After sitting down, Lao Tzu said, "I never imagined that I would have to wander through the mortal world twice for the sake of the mere Western Zhou dynasty."

"Even immortals cannot escape the calamities of the mortal world, let alone our disciples who are also facing calamities. In order to eliminate the calamities of our sect, even a sage cannot help but come," said Yuanshi Tianzun with a smile.

Laozi nodded in approval.

Subsequently, both saints displayed auspicious clouds and three flowers on their heads.

Divine clouds swirled, and boundless auspicious mist filled half of the void, soaring straight into the heavens.

When Jinling Shengmu saw the auspicious aura rising in Xiqi, she knew that the two sages, Taishang Laozi and Yuanshi Tianzun, had come down from the mountain again. She was worried and couldn't help but think, "My two senior uncles have already arrived. I wonder when my teacher will arrive."

Just then, they heard celestial music filling the air and the sound of jade pendants ringing out. The ten thousand immortals of the Jie Sect followed the Tongtian Sect Leader out of "Golden Turtle Island" and came to the "Ten Thousand Immortals Formation".

Hearing the commotion, the Holy Mother Jinling breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly led her fellow disciples to welcome their teacher's arrival.

After the Tongtian Sect Leader was seated on the Bagua Platform and all the disciples had finished paying their respects, the Golden Spirit Mother said, "Teacher, our two senior uncles have arrived."

"Now the moon is waning and can never be full again. Since we have set up the 'Ten Thousand Immortals Formation,' we must fight it out to determine who will reign supreme. Today is the gathering of all immortals to complete this tribulation."

After Tongtian Jiaozhu finished speaking, he looked to his left and right and said to Chang'er Dingguang Xian, "Go to the Chan Sect's Lupeng and issue a challenge."

After saying that, he handed the challenge letter to Chang Er Ding Guangxian.

"Yes! This disciple obeys!"

After receiving the challenge, Chang Er Ding Guangxian left the "Ten Thousand Immortals Formation" and flew to the reed hut on the Xiqi side.

"Long-eared Immortal Dingguang, what brings you here?"

When Guang Chengzi saw this person arrive, he shouted loudly, as if he was about to kill him at the slightest disagreement.

"Fellow Daoist Guangchengzi, I have come here on the orders of my master to issue a challenge."

Seeing the chilling killing intent of the group of Grand Luo Golden Immortals from the Chan Sect, Chang Er Ding Guang Xian trembled inwardly. He originally wanted to utter a few arrogant words, but he couldn't bring himself to say them. Instead, he was filled with fear.

"Hmph! Then come up here!"

With the two sages present, Guang Chengzi could not bring himself to engage in battle and kill the envoy. So he had Chang Er Ding Guang Xian land on the reeds.

"Follow me!"

Seeing the wretched state of Chang Er Ding Guang Xian, Guang Cheng Zi snorted coldly. He had made a trip to Jin Ao Island, and amidst the encirclement and attack of hundreds of Jie Sect disciples, he had managed to enter and exit three times, making the Jie Sect members scream in anger.

On the other hand, the long-eared Dingguangxian looked like a coward, which immediately made Guangchengzi despise him.

Chang Er Ding Guang Xian naturally saw Guang Cheng Zi's disdain, but as one under someone else's roof, one has no choice but to bow one's head. He could only pretend not to hear or see, and followed Guang Cheng Zi to the two leaders, bowed, and explained his purpose.

"I understand. Go and tell your master that we will come to break the formation tomorrow."

Taishang Laozi accepted the challenge letter handed to him by Chang'er Dingguangxian, read it, and replied to him.

Chang Er Dingguang Xian bowed to the two leaders once more before slowly leaving the reed hut, returning to the "Ten Thousand Immortals Formation," and reporting back to Tongtian Jiaozhu.

"You have usurped the power of this great sect, relying on your own authority, indulging your disciples in rampant and unrestrained acts of slaughter. Today, you may invite Jieyin and Zhunti to join you in attacking me."

The next day, the two sides faced off. The Tongtian Sect Leader unleashed the "Ten Thousand Immortals Formation" and once again launched into a tirade against Laozi and Yuanshi Tianzun, saying, "Don't you know we are born of the same body? Those two Western Saints attacking me is the same as attacking you. How can this hatred be resolved!"

"You don't need to argue. Since you've put on this show, demonstrate your knowledge and skills, and I'll fight you to the death!"

Having broken off all pretense of civility, Yuanshi Tianzun made up his mind and naturally no longer cared about brotherly affection. He was determined to suppress Tongtian Jiaozhu and destroy the Jiejiao lineage.

Laozi, however, kept his eyes slightly closed and remained silent.

"I won't say any more to you. Just come and break the formation."

Laozi remained unmoved, Yuanshi Tianzun was indifferent and ruthless, and Tongtian Jiaozhu was extremely disappointed. He did not speak, but turned around and walked into the "Ten Thousand Immortals Formation", set up the formation, and waited for the two sects to come and break the formation.
