Chapter 87 On the Way

If we calculate it this way, they originally thought that the cause and effect between them and Hongyun had been eliminated, but now it seems that it may still still exist.

Given this situation, how could the two not smile bitterly? But since things had come to this, there was nothing they could do but wait and see how to make amends to Hongyun and settle this matter.

Duobao looked at Yun Zhongzi with a hint of envy. Xuanhuang's abilities were known to everyone in the prehistoric world.

He was no exception. But to his surprise, Yun Zhongzi, who had come with him to greet him, actually won the favor of this senior uncle and was given benefits.

Why wasn't there a share for him? Duobao was completely baffled and could only sigh in frustration.

Soon, they entered the Kunlun Mountains and met Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian in the Sanqing Hall.

The three of them sat on a futon, but apart from Laozi, there was no one standing behind him.

Behind Yuanshi were Antarctic Immortal and Yun Zhongzi, two disciples who had just entered.

Behind Tongtian stood three disciples: Daoist Duobao, Holy Mother Jinling, and Holy Mother Wudang.

In addition, there are three empty prayer cushions. These are clearly prepared for Xuanhuang, Jieyin, and Zhunti.

"My three senior brothers have been waiting for a long time."

Xuanhuang, Jieyin, and Zhunti greeted each other, bowed, and then took their seats.

Kong Xuan naturally followed behind Xuanhuang, but Lu Tuo, as his mount, was not there.

Xuanhuang was alright in this situation, but Jieyin and Zhunti felt rather bitter, even though they hadn't brought their disciples with them this time.

But on Mount Sumeru, there are also some disciples. They are only their own disciples. Compared with other people's disciples, the difference in their abilities is immediately apparent.

Especially Yun Zhongzi and Kong Xuan. Their aptitude was immediately apparent to Jieyin and Zhunti.

Unfortunately, such a talented and promising individual was someone else's disciple.

Yun Zhongzi was one of them; they had noticed something amiss and knew he had some connection with Hongyun.

It is very likely that he is the reincarnation of Hongyun, but he has not yet awakened his memories.

They were once peers, but now they've been relegated to a lower generation. It's nothing special that they're so talented.

Once Yun Zhongzi realizes his past life, his identity will naturally be restored, and then it won't matter anymore.

But where did Xuanhuang get this disciple, Kong Xuan? His aptitude is just too high!

However, he was in no way inferior to Yun Zhongzi, and in fact, he was even comparable to them.

Shaking their heads, the two brothers understood each other perfectly. They exchanged a glance and realized what the other was thinking. They both planned to find a disciple who was no less than Kong Xuan in the future.

"My three junior brothers, it's a rare occasion for us to gather together. Why don't we have a discussion and share our understanding of the Primordial Chaos Dao?" Laozi said.

"good!"

Everyone said in unison.

This is also the purpose of their gathering together, for no other reason than to prove the truth.

You should know that they are all from the Xuanmen lineage, and in a way, they can be considered as one of our own.

Moreover, they were all designated to become saints in the future.

In this context, each person's understanding and comprehension of the Hunyuan Dao becomes especially important.

The saying goes, "The stones from other mountains can be used to polish jade."

That's the reason.

Now, apart from Nuwa who is still in the Heavenly Court, the entire Xuanmen lineage has gathered together.

Then, each of the six manifested auspicious clouds. Some were swirling and clear as water, others were adorned with jeweled pendants and countless golden flowers, shining brightly from near and far, some emitted a fragrant aroma, with the five elements converging and the three flowers gathering at the top, some were half black and half white, with yin and yang flowing and the two polarities changing, mysterious and unpredictable, some had relics floating in the air, radiating light, and some had boundless auspicious colors, with a large tree standing on top of them.

Six auspicious clouds stirred slightly, revealing countless profound mysteries that transformed into various extraordinary phenomena. Each of the six began to expound on their own Dao, recounting the various primordial mysteries they had comprehended.

For a moment, the sounds of Daoist teachings rose and fell, creating quite a lively scene. Leaving aside the six people discussing the Dao, the disciples accompanying Xuanhuang, Yuanshi, and Tongtian all showed surprise and delight, and each of them hurriedly tried to comprehend it.

At this moment, the individual comprehension of each person became apparent. Although the Golden Spirit Mother's aptitude was not bad, she was the least talented among the disciples.

After listening for three hundred years, he could no longer bear it and had to leave the Sanqing Hall.

Even so, the gains from listening to the Dao for three hundred years were enough to greatly improve her cultivation, surpassing what she could have achieved through tens of thousands of years of arduous cultivation.

Then another hundred years passed, and the Holy Mother of Wudang and the Taoist Master Duobao also gradually succumbed to the strain.

Only Yun Zhongzi and Kong Xuan were still listening, but the two were also separated, and Yun Zhongzi's state was somewhat strange.

He looked somewhat dazed, not like he was listening to the sermon, but rather like he was asleep.

Dazed.

Kong Xuan was feeling a bit uncomfortable. He wanted to hear more, so he kept insisting.

Meanwhile, seeing that Yun Zhongzi was still persisting, he did not want to show weakness, so he continued to struggle on.

Thirty years passed, and then Xuanhuang suddenly stopped preaching, glanced at Kong Xuan, and shook his head, saying, "What a fool."

With a flick of his sleeve, he sent Kong Xuan out of the hall.

Then Xuanhuang continued his discussion with the five people.

However, nowadays, what is called a discussion of the Tao has actually turned into a debate. It is a discussion among many people, but as they discuss the Tao, different opinions have emerged and conflicts have arisen.

One side would try to overwhelm the other, and among them, Yuanshi and Tongtian were the most extreme.

The two argued the most fiercely.

Jieyin and Zhunti would occasionally chime in, joining the debate.

Only the Dao of Xuanhuang and the Dao of Laozi, though different, can harmonize with each other, and the two of them can discuss it most swiftly.

So the two of them simply ignored everyone else and started arguing amongst themselves.

And so they continued their discussions for over two thousand four hundred years before finally stopping.

Lao Tzu said, "This discussion of the Dao is far better than ten thousand years of arduous cultivation."

Everyone agreed that it was a great act of kindness.

Xuanhuang suddenly laughed and said, "Brother Yuanshi, Brother Tongtian, if you don't understand now, when will you?"

Upon hearing this, Yuanshi and Tongtian were slightly taken aback, then their bodies trembled as if they had suddenly realized something.

The auspicious clouds that had just been withdrawn above their heads suddenly reappeared, followed by a burst of light and a loud Daoist chant.

The two of them almost simultaneously severed their second corpses, greatly advancing their cultivation and breaking through to the mid-stage of Quasi-Saint.

After the two men severed the corpse, their gazes became somewhat complicated. They said to Xuanhuang, "Thank you for your guidance, Junior Brother."

Xuanhuang smiled but remained silent.

Jieyin and Zhunti watched with some envy, but they also knew that their own accumulation was somewhat lacking.

While it's not impossible to forcibly dismember a corpse, the effect will be less than ideal.

Therefore, they all held back.

The six chatted for a while longer before Jieyin and Zhunti got up to say goodbye and leave.

Only Xuanhuang has not left yet.

Lao Tzu understood his meaning, took out the Taiji Diagram, and handed it to Xuanhuang, saying, "The Thirty-Three Heavens promised you, Junior Brother, and naturally they will not go back on their word. Junior Brother, please take this and study it."

Xuanhuang accepted the Taiji Diagram without ceremony and said with a smile, "Then thank you very much, Senior Brother. I will study it in Kunlun Mountain and return it to you when I have finished studying it."

Laozi waved his hand, signaling Xuanhuang to leave. Yuanshi then said, "I will have Yunzhongzi take you to another palace for seclusion."

Xuanhuang thanked him again before leaving the Sanqing Hall. Once outside, Yun Zhongzi indeed made arrangements for him.
