Xuanhuang stopped Zhen Yuanzi, saying, "Fellow Daoist, we are close friends, how can you call me an elder?"

Zhen Yuanzi smiled and shook his head, saying, "The accomplished are my teachers. What's wrong with that? Besides, I am a disciple of the Xuanmen sect, and Master Hongjun and you address each other as fellow Daoists. How could I dare to be presumptuous in front of my teacher?"

Therefore, Zhen Yuanzi insisted on bowing and addressing Xuanhuang as his senior uncle, and Xuanhuang could only let him be.

Hongjun returned the greeting to Xuanhuang and said, "The reason I came here is that I forgot to tell you something."

"What is it?"

Hongjun glanced at Houtu, then sighed and said, "Fellow Daoist, it's fine if Houtu proves her Dao."

"But now that we are in the midst of a great calamity, please wait a while until the calamity is over before resurrecting the Ancestral Witch. Otherwise, if the cause and effect are disrupted, many complications may arise."

Upon hearing Hongjun's words, Houtu's expression changed.

Xuanhuang frowned and looked at Houtu. Houtu thought for a moment and said to Xuanhuang, "I am willing to follow the words of Dao Ancestor Hongjun."

Upon hearing this, everyone couldn't help but murmur in response.

Xuanhuang said, "Houtu, your compassionate heart demonstrates your great virtue. Would you be willing to become my disciple?"

Upon hearing this, Houtu hesitated for only a moment before bowing to Xuanhuang and saying, "Disciple Houtu greets Master."

Xuanhuang was also somewhat pleased. With a thought, the ten Yama incarnations who were guarding the Underworld flew out and then entered Xuanhuang's body.

Xuanhuang flashed his hand and took out the Book of Life and Death and the Judge's Pen, handing them to Houtu and saying, "You can temporarily manage the Underworld for me."

Upon hearing this, Houtu thanked Xuanhuang again, and then, like Xuanhuang, she created ten incarnations to serve as Yama, in charge of the underworld.

Having done all this, Xuanhuang, Hongjun, and the other sages, Kong Xuan, and others no longer remained in the Netherworld and departed one after another.

Xuanhuang returned to Xuanhuang Heaven. However, he did not preach the Dao. He simply secluded himself to cultivate.

Several decades passed in this way. Meanwhile, Sun Wukong was imprisoned under the Five Elements Mountain. All in all, five hundred years had passed by this day.

Everything is going according to plan.

On this day, Tang Xuanzang, who was guided by Guanyin Bodhisattva to go to the Western Paradise to obtain Buddhist scriptures, passed by the Five Elements Mountain and discovered Sun Wukong being imprisoned under the mountain.

After some twists and turns, Tang Xuanzang climbed to the top of the mountain and peeled off the gold plaque pasted on it.

Finally, the Golden Monkey broke free and regained his freedom, thus beginning the grand and magnificent Journey to the West.

Traveling from east to west, along the way, Pigsy, Sandy, and a little white dragon joined them one after another.

The five-person team heading west is now complete.

Sun Wukong also followed Tang Xuanzang, subduing demons and monsters along the way, while learning Buddhist teachings from Tang Xuanzang.

However, Sun Wukong's understanding of Buddhism often surpasses that of Tang Xuanzang.

And so, after many setbacks and tribulations along the way, the master and his disciples finally arrived at Mount Ling.

When Sun Wukong arrived at Mount Ling, he suddenly had a flash of inspiration and lifted up Tang Xuanzang, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing, and the little white dragon.

Then we arrived at the Great Thunder Temple.

Looking around the temple, Tang Xuanzang and his companions were somewhat frightened by the various Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Wisdom Kings, Dharma Protectors, Vajras, and so on. However, Sun Wukong seemed not to see them at all, and only looked at the Tathagata Buddha sitting on the throne at the very top.

That is, many treasures.

Seeing Sun Wukong's reaction, Duobao realized that the monkey had already come to his senses, and instead uttered a Buddhist chant, saying, "Amitabha!"

"Congratulations! Congratulations! You have attained enlightenment today and can now become the Victorious Fighting Buddha!"

Sun Wukong instantly became a Buddha, and became the Victorious Fighting Buddha.

In addition, Tang Xuanzang became the Sandalwood Merit Buddha, Zhu Bajie became the Clean Altar Messenger, Sha Wujing became the Golden Arhat, and the little white dragon also became one of the Eight Heavenly Dragons.

At the same time, on Mount Ling, suddenly, golden light shone brightly, and boundless fortune surged forth.

Three Buddhas appeared amidst the light.

It is the origin of Buddhism and Taoism, the ancestor of all Buddhas, the ancient Buddha who guides us, also known as Amitabha Buddha; on the left is the Cundi Buddha Mother, and on the right is the World-Free King Buddha.

Among them, Amitabha Buddha and Cundi Buddha Mother are saints, so they are only incarnations of the Buddha.

The Buddha of Worldly Freedom appeared in his true form; the Buddha of Worldly Freedom is none other than Hongyun. When Hongyun became the Buddha of Worldly Freedom, he said that the day Buddhism would flourish would be the day he attained enlightenment.

Now that Tang Xuanzang, Sun Wukong, and others have attained enlightenment and spread Buddhism eastward, it is precisely the day when Buddhism will flourish.

Therefore, this Buddha finally ushered in his own opportunity to attain enlightenment.

But then one sees the Buddha of the World-Free King emitting immeasurable light, sitting cross-legged in the air, reciting a Buddhist scripture to spread it to all sentient beings; it is the "Buddha of the World-Free King Sutra".

After reciting the scriptures, the Buddha of Freedom in the World attained the Primordial Chaos Realm, and a magnificent aura of a Primordial Golden Immortal spread throughout the Three Realms of the Primordial World.

Countless strange phenomena appeared between heaven and earth, and countless living beings knelt on the ground in worship.

After attaining enlightenment, the World-Free King Buddha returned to his original form, which was Hongyun. Although Hongyun attained the Primordial Chaos and escaped, he left behind an incarnation, who remained one of the three ancient Buddhas of Buddhism, the World-Free King Buddha.

And right after Hongyun attained enlightenment, the Victorious Fighting Buddha Sun Wukong somersaulted and appeared in the air above Mount Ling.

Sun Wukong said to the three Buddhas, "Now is the time for me to attain enlightenment."

The three Buddhas nodded and said, "Please, fellow Daoist."

Sun Wukong nodded, and then three more figures flew in from the east: the Six-Eared Macaque, the Long-Armed Ape, and the Red-Bottomed Horse Monkey.

The four monkeys walked towards the center, merged together, and transformed into the demonic ape once more.

This time, there were no surprises. The demonic ape also attained the Primordial Chaos Realm. In just one day, two Primordial Chaos Golden Immortals achieved the Great Luo Golden Immortal Realm.

The spiritual energy between heaven and earth has been greatly reduced.

However, the powerful beings from all sides were not alarmed, because in recent years, sages have taken turns opening up chaos in the remote corners of the universe.

The spiritual energy between heaven and earth is replenished at all times.

Although obtaining two great Hunyuan certifications reduced spiritual energy significantly, it can gradually recover over time.

On the contrary, this great calamity was passed safely, unlike the previous two great calamities, which were filled with terrible events that threatened to destroy the Three Realms.

Instead, the creation of two supreme beings brought great comfort to everyone and gave them more hope for their future enlightenment.

After the demonic ape attained enlightenment and became a Primordial Chaos cultivator, it changed its name, no longer calling itself Six Ears or Sun Wukong.

Instead, he was called the Chaotic Dao Lord. Of course, like Hongyun, after attaining enlightenment, the Chaotic Dao Lord also left behind an incarnation of the Victorious Fighting Buddha in Buddhism.
