Chapter 122 Three Flavors of Divine Wind Overwhelm the Gods

Chapter 122 The Three Flavors Divine Wind Overwhelms All Gods

In the Western Paradise, Bodhisattva Lingji is not considered a particularly famous Bodhisattva.

Naturally, it is far inferior to the four great Bodhisattvas: Guanyin, Ksitigarbha, Manjushri, and Samantabhadra.

But in fact, no one in the entire Western Vulture Peak can underestimate Bodhisattva Lingji.

Because Lingji Bodhisattva belongs to the lineage of the ancient Buddha Dipankara, his status is exceptionally transcendent.

Although Dipankara Buddha no longer oversees the Western world, he still possesses immense magical power and profound spiritual foundation.

In the West, Lingshan still wields considerable influence.

The fact that the Buddha was able to so easily allow his disciple Jin Chanzi to reap this great opportunity in the eastward transmission of Mahayana Buddhism was due to the secret support of Dipankara Buddha.

Of course, in exchange.

Dipankara Buddha also needs to demonstrate his majesty on the journey to the West.

In short, it was using the yellow-haired weasel spirit as a catalyst to unleash the Samadhi Divine Wind, a power that even the gods and Buddhas of the heavens could not overcome.

Finally, Bodhisattva Lingji appeared and easily subdued it.

This is to demonstrate the divine power of Dipankara Buddha.

But now, things have encountered some problems.

Lingji Bodhisattva originally held the Wind-Fixing Pearl, intending to suppress the Yellow-haired Weasel Spirit.

Suddenly, he felt his palm go empty and his magical power falter.

The Wind-Stabilizing Pearl, a supreme treasure meant to suppress the Samadhi Divine Wind, was completely out of control and slipped out of my hand.

It transformed into a streak of light and flew straight into the hand of the sable spirit!

"not good!"

Lingji Bodhisattva's expression suddenly changed drastically, and he exclaimed in shock, "My Wind-Fixing Pearl!"

The entire venue fell into a deathly silence.

Sun Wukong stared in disbelief, his golden cudgel momentarily halting in his hand. He cried out, "This fellow possesses such bizarre abilities! He can even forcibly steal a Bodhisattva's magic weapon?"

The sable spirit grasped the warm, round wind-stabilizing bead, feeling the immense wind-stabilizing power within it.

He immediately threw his head back and laughed heartily, extremely pleased with himself.

"Bodhisattva Lingji, without the Wind-Fixing Pearl, let's see how you suppress my divine wind!"

"Today, none of you will leave alive! You will all die under my Samadhi Divine Wind!"

Holding the Wind-Stabilizing Pearl, his confidence surged, and he no longer had any reservations.

The ferret spirit opened its mouth again, took a deep breath, and prepared to unleash an even more violent and deadly Samadhi Wind than before.

This time, with the Wind-Fixing Pearl in hand, even if the Bodhisattva uses any more methods, it will be difficult to suppress him.

Without his magic weapon, Bodhisattva Lingji was at a loss and his face turned solemn.

Sun Wukong's eyes were still injured and his vision was blurred, making it difficult for him to fight at full strength.

Tang Sanzang remained unconscious on the ground, his fate still uncertain.

Pigsy panicked even more, covering his head and hiding behind a rock, not daring to lift his head at all.

A pilgrimage that should have ended easily was a difficult ordeal.

However, due to the supernatural power that the ferret spirit had secretly learned, they were instantly trapped in a deadly situation.

On Huangfeng Ridge, a fierce wind rose again, dark clouds pressed down, and the sky darkened.

The three, master and disciples, were completely trapped in this place, with no way forward and not even a sliver of a way to escape their predicament.

On Huangfeng Ridge, dark clouds loomed over the city, and a fierce wind surged.

The mountain wind howled, carrying yellow sand and a fishy smell.

The debris from the cliff face tumbled down in a flurry, and withered branches and broken wood flew everywhere.

The entire mountain range exuded a chilling stillness and ferocity.

Lingji Bodhisattva stood on a lotus platform, his body radiating a slightly dim Buddhist light, his hands clenched into fists, his knuckles turning white.

He watched helplessly as the Wind-Stabilizing Pearl, shimmering with a faint blue light, slipped from his palm.

The face of Lingji Bodhisattva turned pale and then flushed.

As a bodhisattva in the lineage of Dipankara Buddha, this is not a position for seeking fame or reputation.

Lingji Bodhisattva truly possesses extraordinary abilities.

Therefore, Dipankara Buddha entrusted the minor tribulations on the journey to the West to Bodhisattva Lingji.

But now, Bodhisattva Lingji has lost the Wind-Fixing Pearl and only has the Flying Dragon Staff in his sleeve.

However, the Dragon Staff needs to be used in conjunction with the Wind-Fixing Bead to unleash its maximum power.

The situation has reached a stalemate.

What puzzled Lingji Bodhisattva even more was that the Samadhi Divine Wind of the yellow-haired weasel spirit before him seemed different from the legends.

Lingji Bodhisattva had long known about the yellow-haired weasel spirit on the journey to the West, and deliberately allowed him to cultivate there.

According to the predictions of Bodhisattva Lingji, no matter how much this yellow-haired weasel spirit cultivates, it will never be able to cultivate the Samadhi Divine Wind to its highest level.

After all, this kind of supernatural power is quite terrifying, and it can almost counter the vast majority of magical treasures in the world.

But the yellow-haired weasel spirit in front of him truly shocked and angered him.

The yellow-haired weasel spirit's Samadhi Divine Wind far exceeded the imagination of Bodhisattva Lingji.

Without the Wind-Fixing Pearl, he would absolutely not be able to subdue it with the Flying Dragon Staff alone.

Lingji Bodhisattva was both shocked and furious, his voice trembling slightly: "This wicked beast possesses such bizarre supernatural powers!"

Sun Wukong stood aside, his eyes still stinging with pain.

Tears streamed down her face, and her skin swelled up like two peaches.

He barely managed to open his fiery eyes and vaguely saw the sable spirit clutching the Wind-Fixing Pearl.

They were even more furious.

Sun Wukong was both anxious and angry. He rubbed his stinging eyes while pondering to himself.

"My senior brother mentioned it to me briefly. He seems to be going to other continents to collect merits and vows, so he probably won't be able to come back for a while."

"Without the Wind-Fixing Pearl, Bodhisattva Lingji has lost his method of defeating his enemies."

"If this drags on any longer, Master will be unconscious on the ground and won't be able to withstand any more disturbance."

"If anything were to happen to me, I, Old Sun, wouldn't be able to explain myself!"

"Alright, alright, I'll go to Heaven to get reinforcements!"

Without hesitation, Sun Wukong turned to Zhu Bajie, who was trembling with fear, and shouted sternly, "Fool! Listen up! Keep a close eye on Master, and don't leave his side for even a moment. If anything happens to Master, I, Old Sun, will skin you alive when I get back! I'll be right back with reinforcements, and we'll definitely deal with this vile demon!"

Pigsy trembled with fear, repeatedly nodding and bowing, "Don't worry, brother! Don't worry! I, this old pig, will risk my life to protect Master and ensure that the demon doesn't disturb him! Go quickly and come back soon, I, this old pig, can't hold on any longer!"

Before Pigsy could say another word, Monkey King suppressed the intense pain in his eyes.

With a push of his feet, he leaped into the air and rode the somersault cloud.

A golden light shot into the sky, breaking through the dark clouds and heading straight for the South Heavenly Gate.

The somersault cloud was extremely fast, moving with lightning speed, and the wind whistled in your ears.

In less than half an incense stick's time, they had already arrived outside the South Heavenly Gate.

Upon seeing that it was the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, the Heavenly King Guangmu, who guarded the Heavenly Gate, dared not obstruct him in the slightest. He immediately bowed and respectfully let him pass, saying, "Great Sage, your arrival is a great honor! Please come in quickly!"

Sun Wukong was extremely anxious at the moment and had no time for pleasantries.

He waved his hand and strode into the Heavenly Court, walking all the way to the Tongming Hall and outside the Lingxiao Hall.

He had just sung a deep bow when he met the Jade Emperor.

And so it is, and so it is.

Sun Wukong recounted his encounter with the Yellow-haired Weasel Spirit on his journey to the West, and his request for help from the Bodhisattva Lingji.

Upon hearing this, the Jade Emperor immediately issued an edict, summoning several divine generals who were accustomed to subduing demons and monsters.

Sun Wukong was overjoyed and accepted the imperial decree to express his gratitude.

Then he led the giant spirit god and other gods down to the mortal realm.

When the Heavenly Palace was in chaos, the Giant Spirit God was once defeated by Sun Wukong.

Upon hearing that the Great Sage had invited him today, he thought he could take this opportunity to redeem himself and wash away the shame of the past.

He immediately picked up the massive hammer, weighing a thousand pounds, and excitedly followed Wukong down to the mortal realm.

All the way, he kept chanting, "Great Sage, don't worry! My great hammer will definitely smash that demon rat flat with one blow, help you retrieve your magic weapon, and rescue your master!"

Before long, the two rode the clouds back to Huangfeng Ridge.

As soon as he landed, the Giant Spirit stepped forward, grabbed the massive hammer with both hands, and slammed it to the ground.

The tremor caused a thin crack to appear in the ground.

The Giant Spirit God roared towards the direction of Yellow Wind Cave, "What kind of wicked beast are you, so audacious! How dare you injure the holy monk on his journey to the West and steal the Bodhisattva's treasures! Come out and face your death!"

"Otherwise, if I, the Giant Spirit God, were to strike with my hammer, I would surely flatten this Yellow Wind Cave and chop you into mincemeat!"

Hearing the shouts and curses outside from inside the cave, the sable spirit tucked the Wind-Fixing Pearl into its bosom, patted its chest, and strode out of the cave.

He had golden eyes, blond hair, sable ears, pointed cheeks, and wore a black robe.

Holding a three-pronged steel fork, he exuded an oppressive demonic aura.

The yellow-haired weasel spirit glanced at the giant spirit and sneered, "Where did this fool come from? So clumsy and rough, how dare you be so insolent in front of me, the Great Sage Yellow Wind? Why don't you take a piss and look at yourself in the mirror? Are you even worthy to fight me?"

The giant spirit, already quick-tempered, was instantly enraged upon hearing this. His eyes widened, and he roared, "You beast, you're courting death!"

As he spoke, he grabbed the massive hammer and, with immense force, smashed it down on the weasel spirit.

The hammer's wind howled, its force like Mount Tai pressing down; if it were an ordinary little demon, it would die upon contact and be injured upon impact.

But the ferret spirit neither dodged nor avoided it, its face still bearing a cold smile. It simply opened its mouth slightly and blew gently.

call--!

In an instant, the Samadhi Divine Wind erupted, even more violent than before.

The wind was as sharp as a knife or a sword, unstoppable.

Mixed with yellow sand and biting cold, it swept straight toward the giant god.

The giant spirit felt a tremendous force coming towards him, and his whole body was in excruciating pain.

The massive hammer in his hand was instantly swept away by the gale and spun several times in the air.

It crashed onto the cliff face in the distance with a loud bang, scattering rocks everywhere.

He himself was also enveloped by the divine wind, and like a fallen leaf, he was blown over and over several miles away.

He plunged headfirst into a mud pit, covered in mud, his face bruised and swollen.

Even the armor on his body was scraped to pieces.

After struggling for a long time, I finally managed to get up.

The Giant Spirit cried out in despair towards Yellow Wind Ridge, "Ouch, this is terrible! This demonic wind is too powerful! I can't withstand it! Great Sage, I'm truly powerless!"

Having said that, he didn't dare linger, not even bothering to pick up the hammer, and slunk away on a cloud.

Sun Wukong stood to the side, his heart sinking as he watched, his brows furrowing even more deeply.

He inwardly cried out in alarm: "This raging wind couldn't even be withstood by the Giant Spirit God! It seems ordinary gods are no match for this wicked demon!"

But the master was still unconscious, and Lingji Bodhisattva was helpless.

Sun Wukong had no choice but to grit his teeth and chant the incantation again, saying, "Five Directions Protectors, Four Duty Officers, Guardians of the Dharma, come quickly to my aid!"

As soon as he finished speaking, several streaks of light flashed across the sky, and the Five Directions Protectors, the Four Duty Officers, and several Guardian Deities appeared, each wielding a weapon, and surrounded him.

Having protected the pilgrims for years, they assumed it was just an ordinary demon causing trouble, and each of them glared angrily at the weasel spirit with stern expressions.

The leader of the Jiedi (a type of Buddhist priest) shouted, "You wicked beast! How dare you obstruct the holy monks on their journey to the West and seize the Bodhisattva's treasure! Quickly hand over the Wind-Fixing Pearl and surrender, or you will surely be annihilated!"

The weasel spirit laughed heartily, bending over with mirth, its eyes filled with disdain: "You little gods and immortals dare to boast in front of me? Even if a few more come, I'll blow them all away!"

Having said that, he stopped talking nonsense and started blowing again.

The Samadhi Divine Wind swept out once more, its force even stronger than before, darkening the sky and earth, whipping up sand and stones, and even causing distant mountain peaks to tremble slightly.

The expressions of the Five Directions Protectors, the Four Duty Officers, and the Guardians of the Faculty changed, and they hurriedly raised their magical weapons to defend themselves.

However, the divine wind was too domineering, and the magical artifact could not withstand it at all. In just an instant, it was swept away by the gale.

The Jiedi were blown about, swaying from side to side.

The officials fell to the ground and couldn't get up.

The rosary beads of the monks who protected the faith were scattered all over the ground, and their robes were torn to shreds.

They fled in panic, not daring to utter a single word of resistance, and could only escape in a sorry state by riding the clouds.

Before departing, the gods cried out, "Great Sage! This demon is too powerful; we cannot withstand him. We must seek help from someone more capable!"

Sun Wukong's eyes widened in fury, his heart filled with anxiety and anger, yet he was helpless.

He gritted his teeth, thinking to himself, "It seems I'll have to ask some more capable divine generals! The Twenty-Eight Constellations are the Heavenly Court's most capable generals; they should be able to hold out for a while!"

Immediately, he made another hand seal, summoning six of the twenty-eight constellations of this direction: Lou Jin Gou, Wei Tu Zhi, Mao Ri Ji,

Bi Yue Wu, Gou Fire Monkey, Ginseng Water Monkey.

Upon receiving the summons, the six constellations dared not delay and immediately took up their weapons, riding the clouds to descend upon Huangfeng Ridge.

Lou Jingou, sword in hand, stood at the forefront, his sharp gaze fixed on the weasel spirit. He roared in a deep voice, "You wicked beast! You possess demonic magic, harming living beings and stealing magical treasures. Today, we, the Star Constellations, are here to subdue you and rid the people of this scourge!"

The six constellations then formed a battle formation and each displayed their supernatural powers.

Lou Jingou's sword light was sharp, Wei Tuzhi's earth-type magic was heavy, Mao Riji's crow was clear, Bi Yuewu's moonlight power was cold, Zi Huohou's flame magic was scorching, and Shen Shuiyuan's water-type magic was sharp.

Swords flashed and blades clashed, water and fire mingled, all heading straight for the weasel spirit.

Its imposing momentum even suppressed the demonic wind for a moment.

The ferret spirit sneered, "You have some skill, but unfortunately, it's not enough!"

He pressed the Wind-Fixing Pearl in his arms to his chest, took a deep breath, mobilized all his magical power, and blew out the Samadhi Divine Wind with all his might.

In an instant, a fierce wind arose, sand and stones flew, and the sun and moon lost their light.

The divine wind, carrying a sharp metallic aura, was even more violent than before, sweeping straight towards the six constellations.

The six constellations held out for only a moment before being blown about by the divine wind, their armor torn and feathers scattered.

One by one, they screamed as they were lifted into the air, only to fall and be covered in bruises.

Even the Pleiades rooster, which is naturally able to suppress evil spirits, could only crow twice in the face of this Samadhi Divine Wind that came from Mount Ling.

It was forced to hunch its neck by the wind, its wings were scraped and bleeding, and it could no longer support itself.

They could only flee in disarray, along with the other five constellations, riding the clouds.

Before leaving, he shook his head helplessly at Sun Wukong: "Great Sage, this demon Shenfeng is too domineering; we are powerless against him. Please, Great Sage, find another way!"

Sun Wukong summoned three groups of reinforcements in succession, but all of them suffered a crushing defeat.

In an instant, none of the gods and Buddhas in the sky could withstand a single divine gust of wind from this weasel spirit.
