Orochimaru travels to Hogwarts

Chapter 113 "What do you see in the mirror, Dumbledore?"

Chapter 113 "What do you see in the mirror, Dumbledore?" (First Update)

This invisibility cloak was indeed given to Harry by Dumbledore.

Orochimaru, hidden beneath the invisibility cloak, raised an eyebrow, instantly understanding the cloak's origins.

He was even certain that this was no ordinary invisibility cloak.

But the most crucial thing now is not the invisibility cloak, but one's own identity.

Dumbledore mistook himself for Harry; he didn't even realize that the person hiding under the Invisibility Cloak was himself.

Orochimaru lowered his eyes slightly and quickly went through Harry's voice in his mind.

For ninjas, imitating another person's accent and intonation is a fundamental skill.

They taught it at the ninja academy.

So, Orochimaru silently used his transformation technique to change his appearance and slowly walked to the magic mirror.

"Professor, what are you doing here?"

Orochimaru, mimicking Harry's accent, asked curiously.

"Look at this mirror." Dumbledore avoided the Magic Mirror, looking as if he couldn't bear to look at it. "Would you like to come and see it?"

In no mood.

Orochimaru was unsure whether the magic mirror would reveal his true appearance.

The magical world is full of strange and inexplicable things, and he didn't want to capsize in this little ditch.

"Professor, curfew is approaching, I should go back to my dorm," Orochimaru said softly, looking like he wanted to sneak back to his dorm.

"It's alright, Harry," Dumbledore said softly. "I'm the headmaster, I won't let you be punished."

As he spoke, Dumbledore raised his hand and pointed to the Magic Mirror in front of him.

"This is the legendary Mirror of Erised, which can reveal the deepest desires in people's hearts. Don't you want to take a look?"

""

"Dumbledore asked curiously."

Although his tone was curious, it carried a hint of an undeniable command.

If it were anyone else, even the real Harry, he would probably lift the Invisibility Cloak, obediently stand in front of the Mirror of Erised, and observe his deepest desires.

But Orochimaru wouldn't.

"Professor, what is your deepest desire? May I see it?"

Orochimaru asked softly.

"You can't see it; only the person themselves can see their deepest desires. That's magic."

Yes, magic out of nowhere.

Orochimaru pursed his lips, about to make up a random statement, when Dumbledore's voice suddenly rang out.

"But I can tell you."

Dumbledore gazed in the direction of the Invisibility Cloak, as if his gaze could penetrate the cloak and reach Orochimaru's eyes.

Orochimaru was taken aback by Dumbledore's gaze, and even subconsciously suspected that Dumbledore had seen through his disguise.

This forced him to calm down and not act rashly.

"I was going to tell you a lie to appease you," Dumbledore said, looking into the Magic Mirror and at his reflection, and sighed softly, "like seeing one or two red ones hanging under the Christmas tree or something."

"But I changed my mind. Sometimes, honesty is the best medicine, especially for people like us who are at a crossroads and don't know what price we'll have to pay for the gifts of fate in the future."

As Dumbledore spoke, he raised his hand and pointed to the Mirror of Erised.

"I saw my sister, my lover, my brother, my home, my future, and my dreams inside."

Dumbledore paused slightly as he spoke, slowly removing his glasses from the bridge of his nose and gently wiping them.

This is because his eyes were filled with tears, causing his lenses to fog up.

"Family, loved ones, ideals—these can conflict, you understand? Life isn't magic; we may never have a perfect choice or future."

Dumbledore looked at Orochimaru under the Invisibility Cloak and said softly, "So could you come see me? Let's chat like friends on the first day of our holiday, just to comfort this old man."

They were pitiful and helpless.

But because of his own strength, this pitiful helplessness is more like an irony, an irony of fate.

Orochimaru, pondering Dumbledore's thoughts, stood silently before the Mirror of Erised.

He was also curious about what his deepest desire was.

Then, the scene in the mirror changed.

That was spring in Konoha.

Unlike the misty land of the Land of Water, or the sandstorms and raging winds of the Land of Sand, or even the towering peaks and giant rocks of the Land of Earth.

Springtime in Konoha is a season when flowers are in full bloom.

There were newly sprouting branches, newly blooming flower buds, and children who had just finished school at the ninja academy.

Jiraiya was jumping around on the left side of the mirror, while Tsunade watched him helplessly with her arms crossed.

When his parents returned from their injuries, his father had his arm around his mother's shoulder and was smiling and waving at him.

Sarutobi-sensei sat helplessly under the shade of a tree, his brows furrowed, looking utterly resigned to his fate with his disciples.

Further away, Nawaki seemed to have grown into an adult, gritting his teeth as if he wanted to prove himself worthy of becoming Hokage.

Kabuto, Kimimaro, and many other ninjas he had subdued and who loyally followed him were all living healthy and peaceful lives, basking in the spring sunshine of Konoha.

Finally, even the little white snake that had shed its skin emerged from the corner, looking up at me as if inviting me to join it.

Orochimaru watched quietly, then noticed the vicissitudes of the scene reflected in the mirror.

Spring is followed by summer, summer by autumn, and autumn by winter.

The four seasons come and go, and time marches on.

Parents grow old, old friends part ways.

The teacher rose in despair, and his subordinates bravely faced their deaths.

Even the little white snake gave up on molting and coiled up in despair on the deserted grass, calmly awaiting death.

Is this what I desire deepest in my heart?

Orochimaru was speechless with shock at the scene, but before he could look again, he witnessed an astonishing sight.

Winter passes and spring arrives, and all things revive.

Life has returned.

Those who have passed away are reborn, and those who have left return.

Even the little white snake, who had given up molting and was preparing to face death, revived and was full of energy, waving at its reflection in the mirror.

Orochimaru suddenly understood.

I am this little white snake.

"What did you see, child?" Dumbledore's voice sounded softly behind Orochimaru.

"It's the same as what you saw, yet different." Orochimaru organized his thoughts, speaking calmly and gently. "I saw spring turn to winter, and after all the changes, I am still alive, and the people I care about are still alive."

"oh----"

Dumbledore paused slightly upon hearing Orochimaru's words. He had expected Harry to say that he saw James and Lily in the mirror, and the family he longed for most.

Unexpectedly————

Harry actually saw this scene in the mirror.

But that's good too; at least it shows that Harry isn't a bad person at heart and is a kind Gryffindor.

But the next second, Orochimaru's words left Dumbledore feeling like he had a fishbone stuck in his throat, and he almost collapsed.

Even though they have passed away, I have brought them back to the world.

"Professor, do you think my idea is correct?"
